I’m going to ask a stupid question! When they say “Black Friday Deals”, does this mean that because they’re opening on Thursday, these are the deals you’ll get then, or just Friday? I’m easily confused and am trying to understand. 🙂 Thanks for the help!
Not a stupid question. It’s really confusing since stores keep opening earlier and earlier every. Heck soon Black Friday will start on Wednesday. Lol. I believe the Black Friday deals start when they open on Thursday.
Thanks, Jenn! That helped!
Black Friday Deals are Collin’s words.
See the actual ad. Prices are valid 11/26-29. However, some pages/items show the word doorbusters with the saying doors open at 6pm. Doorbusters are very limited quantities.
Will the deals be available online?
Are there any good deals for washing machines?
Costco.com is having a black Friday special on washers and dryers. The ad my store is handing out said $300-$700 off.
Hi Sheila!
Target had an online Black Friday Preview Sale on select items yesterday. The items in this post are in-store deals. As we get closer to Black Friday, we’ll know more about the available online deals.
Any reviews of the Nikon camera?
That’s a good price. I am going to google and see what kind of reviews I can find.
I just read that it uses 4 batteries. No thanks. I prefer a camera that has a chargeable battery.
you can buy rechargable batteries
Even with rechargeable batteries, u will only be able to use camera about an hour or less. Flash drains lots, video even more. I would not buy battery camera. Better to get nimh battery camera, in other words, the ones u plug in and charge like phone.
I have a canyon camera that comes with rechargeable batteries and I run it for days without having to charge the battery. I love my camera
I got this camera last year for BF. I love it. It lasts awhile before dying and takes pretty decent pictures as a point and shoot camera. User friendly too!
Iam also curious if they are going to be online.
The items in this post are in-store deals. As we get closer to Black Friday, we’ll know more about the available online deals.
The 40% all apparel (some exclusions) says in store and online in the ad scan! Wahoo!
Adding one more to the “Are the deals going to be available online” gang. 😀
As we get closer to Black Friday, we’ll know more about the available online deals. For now, the items in this post are in-store deals.
Thanks much, Collin. 😀
You’re so welcome! 🙂
Not stupid…my 2 questions exactly!!!???
Most of the Black Friday deals are available online I got the iPad last year online but they sell out fast
Online also?
We’ll know as we get closer to Black Friday. 🙂
Do we know yet if the camera will be available online tomorrow?
Anyone need a KFR shutterfly code for $20 off cards?
53P7-BLY7-41WT-RCPT
no ipod touch? man
If you see the ad online, there is a deal for the iPod touch. I think it says you get a $50 gift card when you buy the iPod touch 32 gb for $249.
Ok I’ll take a look. Thanks!
It is pretty random what deals they sell online. I typically make a list of what I want and watch out for those items. And when they do post them, they sell out in minutes.
So could you buy a $100 GC for 10% off then use it on your black Friday purchase? It doesn’t look like they are the promotional gift cards that you have to wait on right? Or am I crazy?
They can’t be used until Saturday.
The fine print on the ad says the 5% off GCs won’t be available to use until Saturday 11/29.
Nothing good
I have a question if anyone knows. How many TVs are each target selling on that day? I only ask because some places only sell only a few to sucker you into their stores so you’ll buy other stuff.
It really depends on each stores inventory as some people will buy things early and sale adjust. There are never a lot though so it’s always a gamble. My personal opinion is for big ticket items like t.v’s in the past I usually order online the Wednesday or Thursday before Thanksgiving for a good deal.
That is the Wednesday before or Thursday/Thanksgiving itself. Not the week before.
I would like to know that too! And if anyone has a review for the TVs that are in the ad. I think the brand is Element.
I bought an Element tv two years ago at Target on Black Friday and it’s been great. I would buy it again.
Target usually has around 40 tvs at each different price level. They don’t sucker in like other stores. If you can get another person to go with you… Their one and only goal should be to wait in the tv line… They will get one for sure. My husband and I did this 2 years ago. My mission (lol) was to get a baby activity mat. My husband had an easier and friendlier time getting the tv than I did the mat!
Don’t forget about Cyber Monday! So many online deals to be had for TVs and they even sell them at Black Friday price. I’ve seen tvs go for the same price a week later after black Friday as well.
However, if you are willing to wait a couple months, you will find the best Tv prices are actually in January. That is because stores like best buy are making room for the newer models and trying to get rid of the older models so they slash the prices down drastically sometimes lower than black fridays price.
Not really impressed with the Target deals. They are mostly the sales they have through out the year anyway. Couponing with Colin these last few years has taught me that you can always find great deals through out the year. Better to stay home and relax. Only stinky thing is my hubby teacher works part time at Target so I can be a sahm so he will be out in the fray.
I agree…I don’t think there’s really not of impressive deals at Target this year, if you think you find one, there is a lower price somewhere if you look around. it’s not a good deal if you aren’t lower than the other stores Targee’! lol
Yup. But it’s few and far between when I find an awesome BF deal for just the item I’m looking for or that it’s such an awesome deal that it convinces me to buy even though I wasn’t in the market for the item to begin with. I’m used to doing research on what I want and making my own deals. But I do like that Target GC offer . . . and I don’t mind a bit that I can’t use it right away. My Black Fridays are rarely hectic!
I couldn’t agree more. I am also very frustrated that if there are 1-2 small items you want, you would have to go out Thanksgiving evening to get them. And if you happen to be with family, like me, in an area that doesn’t have a Target the only alternative is to leave your family on Thanksgiving. Just seems so wrong. This is the first year I’m not buying anything at Target.
agreed. the target deals aren’t good enough to venture out IMO.
I always look for movies/tv. last year I did all of my black friday shopping online and got everything I was hoping for. This year, my plan is to hope the dvds are online again!
Does anyone have an opinion about the Element TVs? We are needing a new one and it seems like a decent price to me??? But not sure on the quality. Thanks for any input! 🙂
Can’t speak from experience, but here are some reviews that may help.
https://www.hdtvuniverse.com/element-hdtv-reviews/
That was helpful. Thanks, Erin!!
I had an element 32″ tv before I moved. Bought it new used it for 3 years. It still worked perfectly. I just got rid of it so I would have less to move! HTH!!
when I go to target how do I hand over my coupons? Do I do target then manufacturer then cartwheel?
The super good deals go to the crazy people who begin to camp out a few days before. I used to sit out Best Buy 16hrs early and stopped when I noticed the people of front were taking one of each ticket and going to the back and selling them.
I’m in the market for a new countertop microwave. Please let me know if you find any bargains. Thanks!
so if you get an ipad, does the $140 gift card automatically apply or do you have to use it later in a separate transaction on something else?
It has to be used on a different transaction.
Thanks so much for keeping us informed Collin! I just got my first smartphone and need to know which app is best for Black Friday and is there an app to compare prices?
I do not like how all these stores start ON Thanksgiving. I am forced to sacrifice time with my family to get good deals. I really want that camera, so I can take some good pictures of my kids and its a great deal. I am just wondering what time I should get there because I’ve never done thanksgiving night and I have a feeling my family is going to be mad.
First of all, you are not “forced” to shop Black Friday; you are making a choice. You want Target’s inexpensive goods but you don’t want to sacrifice anything for them. I don’t understand why people who do not work BF get so upset about others who do. I wonder if they secretly would *rather* shop than spend time with their family and they are mad that they have to miss the sales. (Incidentally, I worked holidays and I LOVED it.) Rant done. Second, you will likely be able to snag this online before Thanksgiving, find something comparable at another store, or even at Target on Black Friday proper. Shop when you can, and if you miss it, know it wasn’t meant to be and that another deal will come along.
No I don’t have a gun pointed to my head to leave my family, but I liked the old way Black Friday worked, you know, actually being ON FRIDAY. That way I could spend time with my family on Thanksgiving and then get up early and go wait in line for the stores to open. If you think standing in a line at 3 am on Friday waiting for stores to open at 6 am to get a deal isn’t a sacrifice then idk maybe your definition of sacrifice is slitting your wrists, but i have froze my butt off in the cold to get good deals. We are on a limited budget so in order for us to get the electronics we wish to have for the holidays, I have to shop black friday, its just a shame that to deter people away from the tradition they have started doing it right in the middle of when the average of America has Thanksgiving Dinner….
My parents past away recently believe me there is no greater blessing than to have theses times with your family. You can often get a good deal but you can’t get back time that is lost with family.
And no material items matter as much as giving love and receiving such.
Stores just want to compete with each other for money. They can care less about our families. It is tacky they do it right on Thanksgiving day no matter which ever way you look at it.
Curious how you know the Our Generation dolls on sale are the $24.99 ones versus the $34.99 poseable ones? My girls want the poseable ones to sit in the Jeeps they sell — or do the non-poseable sit too?? Thank you!!
Does anyone know how Target does their black friday? Do they give out tickets for limited items? Do they scatter items all over the store like Walmart instead of in their proper sections? I’m new to Target and want to go this year and I’m trying to find out how it works.
Electronics are normally in their area since they are monitored but others are scattered around in big box bins – one year the GPS was with the bananas 🙂 Sometimes you can find their store setup for BF and see where the items may be …
Target is one of the better stores. The employees usually have a map and can help point out the item your looking for.
The gift card deal… I’m assuming if we use our red card we can get another 5% off?! So 15% off gift cards?! Sweet!
5% red card discount excludes giftcards
Hi!
I am planning to buy iPad Air 2 64gb. Will I still get $140 gift card? Or this is valid only for 16gb iPads?
The second question – can I use the giftcard in separate transaction on the same day? Besides iPad there are few other BF deals I want buy anyway, so could be great to use gift card on them.
I really want that Serta airbed. Do you think I’ll have to fight for it? Cause I’d like to go to Wal-Mart first.
How many of each item are they going to have? I don’t want to deal with all the mess of the day if they won’t have more than one iPad. Any ideas?
So true. I want to buy iPad, but the idea of waiting in line for hours and get nothing seems not the way Thanksgiving day should look like. So have the same question…
Does anyone know if the Camera will be available online Tmrw at 6pm so i don’t have to stand in line?
I was wondering if you were allowed to use cartwheel on these deals as well?
