   Did something change with Redbox? I used to be able to put a free code in one day, pick it up the next day, and return it the 3rd day without being charged. Because I was actually renting it on the 2nd day, KWIM? Well last time I did that, I ended up getting charged!

  I thought you had to pick it up the day you reserved it, you get charged and your first day starts as soon as you reserve it.

  I think you need to pick it up before 9 pm the next day, but it should be returned before that time too :/

  I had a friend who used to do that all the time as well but when I tried it I was charged so I think they caught on and changed it.

   Thanks so much for posting this one. We rented Cinderella yesterday and the kids didn’t finished it so I returned it and then rented it again along with getting a movie for me! I also paid it forward while I was there. I saw that the family in front of me had rented 4 movies so I told them to wait before they paid so I could share this awesome code with them! They were so thankful! (And of course I put in a nice plug for Hip2Save while I was at it) 🙂

    @ Megan… U can reserve your movie today and pick it up tomorrow but u have to return the movie tomorrow before 9:00 p.m. that night. So u have to watch it and return it all in the same day and u will not be charged as long as it’s returned by 9 pm. I do this sometimes when I don’t have time to watch the movie that night and pick it up the next morning then it’s movie day for me that morning, afternoon, evening…

  So if I reserve a movie tonight with a free promo, pick it up tomorrow and return it by 9:00 pm tomorrow night I will not be charged anything. Is that correct???

    I have a free credit on my account so it automatically took off $2.00. However, when I checked the box to use the promo code, the deduction changed to $3.00. Hope this helps for those of you where only $2.00 was being discounted.

    If you ever have difficulties with Redbox, take time to go through the Live Chat at the website– they are very good and will often provide movie credit for your trouble. I had problems reserving and picking up. By letting them know I did get a movie credit.
