Does anyone know if this includes things like the Christmas storage totes, wreath boxes, and ornament storage boxes?

    • Catie

When you go to the website there is a category called holiday storage under Christmas, so I would guess so…You’ll probably just have to try and see…

  2. Jen

Was this good on 10/28 or is this for tomorrow, 11/28? TIA.

    • Kelly

Just tomorrow 11/28. She had a misprint.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oopsie! That was a typo – just fixed!

  3. debi

Love this deal..i used my target debit card a day ago for the first time..does it show up in my reg bank statement.? Thanks

    • Kim

Yes. It shows just as it would when you use your regular checkcard or debit card.

    • Catie

Yes, it will show up on the statement for the account the debit card is linked to. Be aware it might take a couple days for the debit to show up. I usually make my Target trip on the weekend and sometimes the charge won’t be there until Tuesday or Wednesday.

      • debi

Ok thank u guys for info…:-)

    • JA

They told me that it’s like waiting for a check to clear and if I remember correctly, it usually comes out on Monday or Wednesday.

  4. Jenn

Wow! Great deal but I am confused. Is this on certain items? I clicked on the word online and it pulls up some stuff. Toys are not included?

    • aloha

Toys are not specifically holiday items so I would imagine they aren’t included

  5. Karen

Is it better to buy a tree with this deal or wait until after Christmas, does anyone know? I need a new tree but I won’t be using it this year, don’t mind waiting till after Christmas if I can get a better tree for less… Let me know guys, thanks. And happy holidays 😎

    • Sara

If there’s a particular tree that you want I think it’s probably better to get it with this deal but you’ll likely get a better deal after Christmas…you just won’t have as much of a selection.

    • Joni

We wanted to get a new tree last year so we waited till after Christmas to get a good deal at Target. Boy, that was a mistake unless you’re really not picky. There was barely anything left. Almost all the trees were sold out. Just FYI. Good luck.

      • Holly

Ditto on nothing left after Christmas! Luckily, we found a beautiful prelit 9 footer at Idaho Youth Ranch for $100.

    • Shells

You can always return it if you find a better deal. Tape your receipt to the box.

      • Lorena

That’s a brilliant idea, taping the receipt to the box! I’ll have to remember that!

    • Jenny

Agree after Christmas brings killer deals but it’s very unlikely you’ll find something. I have yet to find a tree that has made it to the 70-90% off sale and I’ve been couponing for almost 7 years.

      • MommySpendsLess

Same here! I wanted to make the switch to an artificial tree and waited a couple years to find a great clearance deal. The only ones that made it to a decent sale price (70%+) were the small 4′-6′ trees (the ones normally about $25).

Last year Target did a 50% off trees sale BEFORE Christmas and I snagged the one I really wanted then. It was still close to $100 but with real trees costing $35-$50/year it’s almost already paid for itself. And I’m not battling needles!

    • Anne

I seriously despised my tree that I bought after Christmas, the couple years that I put it up, I just felt bad when I looked at it. It’s like when you buy something just because it’s a good deal, but find out that it wasn’t such a good deal. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a tree off of the Kmart website with free shipping, $10 in shop your way reward points, $4 in Shop at Home rebate, $5 off $50, 30% off trees, and 10% member preview sale. The tree is a 7.5 ft Portland Fir with 700 lights, $229.99 is regular price, with all the sales/rebates, it ends up costing just over $50. I ordered 11/21/15 and received the tree yesterday (it said it wouldn’t ship until December 8). The tree is beautiful and I’m glad I just bought it so I have a tree that makes me happy.

    • Katie

Also consider the price of the tree – if it’s a $100 tree then yes! That’s 50% off and you won’t find better than that! If it’s a $200 tree then you’re at 25% off, which eh…. We are also in the boat of “need a tree for next year” so I figure I’ll stalk the best sales and worst case next year I’ll know $x was the absolute best price I saw before or after Christmas.

  6. ThriftyNursingStudent

I noticed in the holiday shop, there are pajamas and clothing. Does anyone know if this would be included in the $50 off $100 deal? Also, if anyone has cute ideas for cheaper decorations (going for quantity, not quality) they have, will you share your ideas? Thanks!

    • SLS

Ikea often has a lot of ornaments together in a box for a good price.

    • Abby

You could make your own with salt dough and cookie cutters 😉

    • Kate

I’m guessing clothes would be included because they were 50 or 40% off this yesterday. It would be about the same

    • JA

Home Depot usually has a tub of ornaments for around ten dollars. I think there’s about 50 of them in different shapes and colors.

    • Emily

I used the tub of Home Depot ornaments that someone mentioned and a coat hanger to make really great wreaths. Don’t skip the hot glue step CB the caps will fall off and the ornaments will fall. Also check places like goodwill, people often donate ornaments when they clean out attics

    • ThriftyNursingStudent

Thanks guys! I decided to skip on the Target deal. I’m a huge DIY, but my school schedule gets in the way (I got a Cricut for Christmas last year and still haven’t used it). All the PJ’s I wanted were sold out before midnight 🙁 The nearest Ikea is 2.5 hours away, but they just announced a new one opening in my area 2017 (Indy)!!!! After going through the Target deals, I’m sticking with the Christmas Tree Shop and Dollar Tree. I can, literally, get twice as much stuff at Xmas tree than Target for the same price (I know quality is negotiable on some items). I also buy wine glasses and mini ornaments from Dollar Tree, put ornaments in glass, turn glass upside down and use bottom base (now top part) to hold a votive candle. I love Emily’s idea with the wreath since I’m discovering wreaths are so stinkin’ expensive. My only problem is the Goodwill’s around here seem to mark up Christmas stuff by a lot. They are currently selling “Ugly Christmas Sweaters”…AKA that $8 Walmart sweater your grandma got 11 years ago, for $10 each! Thanks again for the advice everyone! In the mean time, only two more semesters left…

  7. Kay

Debating how I’d make out better: using in store or online? Hmm…

    • Nicole

Online you can also use ebates to get a little bit more back!

      • sporksoma

I’ve been cruising the Christmas department online, but all the a stuff I’m wanting isn’t available for shipping, and although it all says it’s in stock at my local Target, it also says it is unavailable for store pickup. So as much as I would like to get points back or cash back, if I’m going to take advantage of this deal AND get the kinds of things I’m actually wanting, I’m going to have to go in store.

I would suggest, if you’re torn between shopping online or in store, to check out and see what’s available for your local store. One of the wrapping paper sets I want said it’s in stock in store, not available for buy online and pick up in store, and will ship out in 2-4 weeks. If you’re running into a lot of that type of thing, do like me and shop in store.

  8. Michelle W

Off topic but I was able to get Cinderella and Splatoon at Walmart.com with pickup at store option. This was my last items I missed! Just FYI, don’t count it as an order until you receive a confirmation email. Sometimes the stores inventory is not correct and they don’t have the item. I did get confirmation emails already and on my way to pick them up. So excited!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up Michelle!

  9. Marble

Off topic – different Target deal question? Can you purchase a $75 Target gift card & get the 20% coupon that is good starting on 12/4? Thanks for any help!!

    • Tara

I didn’t see gift cards excluded so I bought one hoping to get the coupon. Fingers crossed!

      • Tara

Ohh update. Yes, it does for sure! I just checked my email and my order confirmation says congrats your order qualified for the coupon. It will be sent tomorrow by email.

        • Amy

Genius!! Going to do that now…

          • Gina

Can someone post the exclusions on the coupon? Looking to purchase a camera (Go Pro) Wondering if I could use the 20% off on it?

            • Nikki

20% off coupons says it excludes GoPro:(

            • Gina

Thank You verify much for posting this.

            • Annie

You still can get Target gift card from Raise and save more than $15 if you never used the website before:

        • Marble

          Thank you!!!!

        • dealgirl

How long did it take to get your confirmation email for the gift card? Seems like Target’s website has been having a lot of issues for me today. I just ordered one about 5 minutes ago and have received no emails yet.

    • Misty

Yes, I did this earlier. You’ll get an email stating you’ve earned s 20% off coupon which will be emailed tomorrow.

  10. kelly

So much stuff is sold out online and unavailable in store! I really wanted to get new stockings! Anyone check what the quantity was like in their target today by chance?

    • Swirlypop

Pottery barn is/was having a great sale on stockings. Free monogramming and free shipping. You should check their website.

    • Emily

I got really great stockings st Kohls with our initials on them.

      • Kelly

        Thanks to both of you!

    • Heather N

I had our families stockings made through https://www.personalizationmall.com/ and they came out great. They also have awesome customer service. They are four years old and still going strong. 🙂

    • J

And item I was watching all day came back in stock online at 11 cst….keep checking!!

  11. Annmarie

I was told this can be used on toys top?? Do you know Collin?

  12. Amy

Where can you buy indoor Christmas decor / string lights for cheap. Whatever I liked on target seem pricey.

    • Melissa m

Big Lots has pretty good prices. Lowes Black Friday add had good prices on light for this entire weekend.

      • Kelly

Home Depot had some good ones also. I went at 7 tonight and still had plenty

        • Amy

          Thanks Melissa and Kelly.

      • Emily

Thanks for the replies. It usually takes an hour or so but I imagine their system is getting slammed this weekend. If I don’t get it by tomorrow afternoon, I’ll give them a call. I did check my online account and it wasn’t in there yet either. It is good to know that it took until the next day for others to get theirs too. Here’s hoping, because I saved one big Christmas gift to buy with all of it next week. One of the Melissa and Doug play kitchens. It wasn’t on much of a sale for the holiday so I thought I’d use all my Kohls cash to buy it and then I don’t have to walk around the store looking for things to spend it on. I’m hoping it goes on a bigger sale next week as well. 🙂 A girl can dream.

    • Andrea

Got some led lights at lowes 3.98 each. They are nicer than I expected. N

  13. Amy

Is 13$ for a monogrammed stocking a good deal? I mean can you get a better price for this ?

    • Emily

I bought ours at Kohls and I think it was that price before I used my 30% off code and free shipping code. I’m a card holder. I’ve had them for two years and they still look fanstastic. Really nice quality. They are the ones that look knitted. I even bought the little matching ones that have dog paws on them for our dogs.

  14. Lacey

Code: TREES is good through 11/28 for an additional 10% off Christmas Trees. Worth trying to combine with the $50 off $100 if you’re in the market for a new tree.

    • A

Is there a way to use this in stores?

  15. Emily

Unrelated, how long has it taken for Kohls Cash to be emailed to you? I placed two orders this morning and I have not received it yet.

    • Michelle

You might want to call customer service. I would think that you should’ve gotten it pretty soon after you placed your order.

      • Kelly

The other night I placed an order at 10pm and didn’t get it until 5:54 am the next morning.

      • Diana

These days they dont send in email. Check your kohls online account and check kohls cash tab, it should be there

        • Kelly

I got mine emailed to me.

16. Jen

Yes unrelated, but does anyone experienced Khols new policy with Khols cash a expiration dates?

    • Kelly

I believe they still scan at the register. Just depends on the cashier. I had someone say no couldn’t take it and then my mom had one that took it for her. Their policy is no past expiration date… Worth a shot though!

    • Niki

I never got an email for my 20 percent off at target.. I actually got the coupon instore when I made a 75$ purchase .. He had a stack of the coupons

    • Rebecca

I have found that they will scan for about 3 days after the expiration date.

    • Lorena

I always play dumb, and I’ve never had a problem, they always take it, and they were waaaaaay expired….

  17. Michelle

I actually bought a tree earlier this week at Target when they were 50%. Since then, they marked the prices up and only offered 10% off. With the new coupon tomorrow, I think it will make the tree I got about $10 cheaper, so I’m going to see if they will do a price adjustment. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Cool!

  18. Julie P

Does any know if you could get a $100 holiday gift card and use the coupon to get $50.00 off so it’s like paying $50 for $100? I didn’t see it in the exclusion. The only exclusions on the coupon is candy, snack, electronics and clearance.

    • debi

      Would be nice

    • lindsey

No idea, but if you try it, please me know!

    • karen

      Wondering the same thing?
If im understanding correctly someone made a comment at the top of this pg- she said she got this deal.
      But I’m not sure???
      Can someone verify this plz!

      • emily928

I think you’re thinking of the discussion in the comments above about the deal today, where if you spend $75 or more in one transaction, you will get a 20% off coupon good for certain dates in December. Apparently you can purchase gift cards to get to the $75 total. I highly doubt they’d count gift cards for the $50 off $100 deal (although it would be awesome if they did!)

    • Emily

I don’t think that gift cards are classified as holiday. I think they’re items they deem to be part of the “holiday shop.” I also don’t think things like holiday plastic plates, cups, etc. will count either. Or things like Christmas dog toys b/c they’re classified as pets and not holiday shop.

  19. Angelique Conley

Anyone know if toys and clothes are included? They are listed under the holiday shop. Coupon says excludes candy, snacks, and electronics. Would be awesome if everything else was included. Just curious

  20. Pricilla

Can u use this on toys? Since it only excludes snack candy and electronics??

  21. Brenda Garcia

So can we use this coupon on toys too?

    • emily928

Would be good to know if it’s worth staying up the 3 hrs until it goes live…sounds like nobody really knows for sure though.

    • Paula

With it saying Holiday shop, I am taking it that you can use it on anything. Holiday shop to me means anything that I would normally buy (toys, clothes, lights, just general presents). I am probably wrong but I am going to try it anyway because I feel it would have had more exclusions if not. I guess I will find out tomorrow when I go to my local target. thanks!

    • moxen23

I am pretty sure that this means the stuff back in the holiday section at Target. For me, it’s in the far corner of the store where there is a designated area with trees, decor, etc.

    • Rebecca

Per my local target manager, the coupon is NOT valid on toys, clothes, gifts or the listed exclusions. It is only valid on anything located in that Christmas holiday area of the store. So things like extension cords, tape, light clips are included as well as long as you purchase the ones located there.

  22. Michelle

Should the code work at midnight in eastern time zone which is now? It’s not working for me?

    • Courtney

No it will be 3am est. It starts at midnight pacific time

    • Heather C.

Target may go by central time…? It’s only 11:43 now.

    • Kelly

      It’s pacific time

  23. Paula

Not working for me either. I did print it out and I am going to go to my target in the morning and see if it can be used on toys! It’s worth a shot because it only says you can’t use it on candy, snacks, electronics and clearance.

  24. emily928

FYI – fine print online specifies Holiday Shop TRIM items so sounds like no gift cards, toys, clothes, etc.

    “Ten Days of Deals
    Day 7: Saturday November 28
Save $50 when you spend $100 on select Holiday Shop trim items.”

    • emily928

Nevermind – I think that link is wrong. Couldn’t figure out how to delete the comment!

  25. Janet

So I tried doing it right now I’m in il. And it says it’s not valid did I do something wrong

  26. mochi

Has anyone ordered and returned an opened Christmas tree? I want to order an artificial flocked tree for a few hundred dollars, but if it doesnt end up looking nice I’d like the option of possibly returning it; especially since I’m looking to spending a lot the tree should look good.

    • KP

You should be fine. Target (atleast my target) is very good about returns..

  27. mochi

Thanks for reply. Will there be a larger savings on trees before Christmas? Cartwheel tree % saving? Im thinking about waiting now ;-/

  28. Jessica

Don’t get your hopes up, it’s very very selected items. Stayed up late for nothing. Most of my stuff I had selected from their holiday shop section (like the pillow posted above) and it doesn’t qualify. LAME. Lights? Nope. Decor? Mostly no. Just go to bed.

    • Jessica

Well strangely enough it changed and now it does include the pillow. I guess it was still updating and only half the items were discounting. Even so, it’s MUCH more limited than initially thought.

      • Megan B.

Funny you say that. I was on a page for a stocking and at first it said not available for shipping or store pickup. i hit refresh on a whim and.. boom! It was available. Seems they must be updating stuff by hand.

  29. Jenn

I selected items under Christmas (tree, decor – wooden signs, and a mat) and it went through just fine. Just waiting for my confirmation email for store pickup.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome! Glad you could snag some deals Jenn!

  30. Kristin

Set my alarm and it’s live now. Merry and Trees worked together. Got a tree for way cheaper than I was on the hunt for in stores yesterday!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay!

  31. Wendi

Yes !!! All I have to do is go pick up tomorrow. Don’t have to hunt through the store in the morning 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect!

  32. mochi

Leapfrog Farmhouse that expired earlier is live again at Target for $6.xx! Just got one for $6.30 after tax w/ Redcard.

  33. KC

FYI – shipping to Hawaii is never “free” even when shipping is “free”. I really don’t know if I am allowed to complain about something while actually living in Hawaii. But incase you were thinking of moving out here and wanted to order a “Merry Christmas” throw pillow from Target, you’re going to pay close to a billion dollars for said throw pillow.

    • BM

If you have a red card the shipping is free to Hawaii. I do find that random items won’t ship here, but most the time I don’t have a problem.

  34. Megan B.

Scored a tree skirt, three monogram style stockings, a nice throw blanket, large tube of gift wrap and a pretty wreath for $40 shipped. I saved a gift card I got recently from a grocery deal, so that made it even better. PLUS you can use the $5 off $50 coupon as well.. probably only if you still have $50 or more remaining as a balance due. Either way, I feel like I scored big time!

    • Maria

what is the 5 off 50 code?

      • Mindi (@MindiFriedland)

        TGTGQJV7 worked for me 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great buys Megan! Thanks for sharing!

  35. Amy

Code merry ain’t working on all trees 🙁

  36. JT

Was able to get 3 sets of icicle lights, 4 sets of clear Christmas lights, 2 nine foot pre-lit garlands and a small porch tree with burlap base for $50 using code TREES for 10% off trees, MERRY for the $50 off and TGTGQJV7 for $5 off $50. All items I can pick up in store today and the tree will ship free – yay!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Woohoo!

  37. Rfpowell

WARNING!! They are having major problems with their website. I spent over 2 hours trying to place my order. She said they are having a lot of complaints on website. Customer service on phone is horrible. I got my order placed but not sure it was worth the hassle.

  38. Rfpowell

WARNING! They are having major issues with their website. Spent over two hours trying to place order. Customer service is horrible on phone:( not sure it was worth it but got order placed. She said there are many complaints.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn. Thanks so much for sharing.

  39. MCouzens

I was able to get a 6′ Slim tree (which I desperately needed due to our small living room) and nine glass ornaments (7 of which I will use as gifts) all for $53.57! Plus 1.5% cash back through shopathome.com. I am so happy, thank you Collin & all your hip2save helpers!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Woohoo! YW!

  40. Maria

Thanks for posting 5 off 50 code! I got some things I’ve been wanting for a while but never seem to be able to get in the after Christmas mess.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome Maria!

  41. debi

I slept 🙂 With so many exclusions and not a site wide deal I wasnt as thrilled. On the other hand for those wanting/needing Christmas decor its a great deal. I stocked up last year on Christmas wrap paper when cvs had their big clearance…maybe 75% to 90% off. Got 2 really pretty complete packages…with 4 rolls each plus matching accessories.

  42. Kelly

Thank you so much for posting this!!! There is an additional code TREES which takes $17 off any tree purchase. It will combine the codes so, using my RED card, I just got a $160 tree for $94.78 plus will get 2% with Ebates! I’m so glad I waited for a deal.

  43. Kelly

Code wouldn’t work in store, management had to override. I did have an extention cord along with my lights, but the sign was right in front of them.

  44. Brittany

What if I don’t have the Black Friday ad in order to get this deal?

    • Maria

      Text 827438 the word MERRY

      • Brittany

        Thank you!!

  45. Krista

Yahoo! Just got a bunch of decor I was eyeing but didn’t want to pay full price and I know it won’t be there after Christmas. Thank you! Can’t wait to get my stuff!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      That’s awesome! You’re welcome Krista!

  46. Almond eyez

Walmart had really good deals on trees on Thursday! They may still have some left. I grabbed a 7ft prelite tree for $77 original $179.00 it is a nice tree!!

How does this code work with the 50 off 100? do you let them scan barcode then give them the code?

Does the code work on extension cords? They are located in the seasonal department

    • Rebecca

It works on extension cords, the three packs of scotch tape, light clips etc. anything located in the seasonal department is valid for the coupon.

    • Kelly

My store had to over ride it to use it on extension cords.

  49. Kelly

Used my coupon with no problem!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)
