Walmart Clearance

Check out this email from Hip2Save reader, Crystal:

Keep an eye out for toy clearance on the shelves at Walmart! My local store had GoldieBlox Box Sets (Parade Float, Dunk Tank and Spinning Machine) marked down to ONLY $5 each (regularly $30). I found them by the cards. In the toy section, I found the GoldieBlox dolls and build & craft sets on an end cap. The dolls were marked down to just $2 each (regularly $25) and the build & craft sets were marked down to ONLY $1 (regularly $10)!

*NOTE – You can check to see if these items are in-stock at your local Walmart and what the prices are before heading out. To see, just copy the Item ID# (listed below) and go here to search (check out my post here for more details). Keep in mind that these may not be marked correctly in-store, so be sure to price check.

Pretty sure my store doesn’t have these types of toys…๐Ÿ˜•I’m always looking in the clearance section there lately…and seems like a lot is being clearnaced!!

  2. Stephanie Gibaldi

Manassas, VA I was able to snag the spinning machine a week ago…meant to tell you guys!

We have been finding amazing deals lately! A lot of $1 shirts, toys, etc. We found a singing Elsa doll for only $3 (originally $27), a Calphalon utensil set for $9 (originally $26) and so much more. Definitely make sure to scan stuff since they were less than the sticker price.

    • jiya

can you please share the dcpi no. of elsa doll. Thanks!!

    • Kelly

Windham ct had singing elsa dolls for $7 but marked at $14…price check everything.

Nothing like this nearby. One in stock an hour away. Nope.

    • R

I would even pay more for these types of toys. My daughter hates barbies.

  5. Jessica

Got a few of these for my daughter and he gift closet about a month ago at this price! They look cute!

I almost bought two Goldiblocks sets this week but the reviews seemed mediocre.

      • Schuwoman

Erin, I passed on these when I saw them because of Amazon reviews too. ๐Ÿ™

        • Erin

Yeah, I LOVE the idea, but they sound as if they are flimsy. I don’t need more junk in my house, so Legos it is!

          • Georgia

I love the story behind this brand, but unimpressed with the product.

          • M

I really wish we could get these for $5.

            • M

My little one takes very good care of her toys. These would be perfect much better than so many other toys for girls.

    • Jennine

Ladies, my 3 year old boy loves these more than my 6 year old girl. Why? They are like tinker toys! Totally awesome, and some sets come with animals, even more of a bonus to let their imagination run. He loves making “lolly-pops” and teeter-tots for the animals our set came with. ๐Ÿ™‚

I bought some of the small build kits for $1 or $2. They were fun to put together and play with. But the car didn’t last long before prices were missing/broke/bent. For the price I didn’t mind but would have been very disappointed for $10.

  7. Julie L

What age group are these for? Are they too juvenile for a 10 year old?

P.S. I love when the info is posted allowing me to check stock online! Huge help/time saver, than you!!

My daughter is actually playing with the Spinning Machine set I got for this price a couple months ago. She really likes it. They are meant to get their minds working with engineering concepts. There are instructions but the child also has to kinda use their imagination to see what they can come up with. My daughter is 4 so we had to help put it together the first couple times but now she is just trying to put the pieces together in different ways to see what they can do. I would recommend them if you can find them on clearance.

    • Julie L

So do you think a ten year old is too old for these?

  9. Esther

These are a hit in our kindergarten 5/6yo class. They don’t play with them the intended way, but they are played with every day. Wish the local Walmart had them in stock

  10. Momo112

So it shows my stores actually have some of these (first time ever lol) but they show $5 – How accurate do u think it is? Is it possible they will be lower at the store? Thanks ๐Ÿ˜‰

  11. Jill

Thank you! These were on my list for my dds birthday this September. I ran off to walmart and picked up one of every set they had, maybe 9-10 items. They are right up her ally! Last year she built herself a tree swing that still is hanging in the tree with her daily use….she was THREE! Shes always been my tinkerer and adventure kid, they will be well loved here. Thank you!!!!

      Great find!

My 4 yo daughter loves the dunk tank, which I snagged for $5 a few weeks ago. My 6yo son likes to play with it too, as long as we don’t tell his friends. This toy is definitely worth $5.

This is off the subject but I just got back from walmart and was told that corporate told my store that only one paper coupon could be used per transaction a.e. if you have two of the $1 off 2 Clorox coupon you can only use one of them per transaction. I could only use one BOGO cat food, one clorox coupon, and one cheese coupon today even though they said you can use up to 4 like coupons per transaction on the coupon. I have never been a walmart shopper so it doesn’t affect me much. I would rather give my money to Kroger and Target. LOL Just thought I would share that with you so you won’t be surprised when you hear it at the register.

    • Michelle

This why I stopped shopping Walmart years ago… They pretend to be the cheapest and easiest to shop at but it is quite the opposite. I have had cashiers refuse to even scan my coupons because they claim they are “counterfeit” even though I printed them directly from coupons.com… Also when Aldi has really good sales in stuff or other stores for that matter they “hide” their stock… I directly asked a produce employee of they had any more bags of 4 lb oranges… They said no… The employee left and I just happened to look behind the empty bin only to find a full bin of oranges behind it… I was shocked! As I was leaving the employee came back gave me a dirty look and slammed the oranges back behind the empty bin… Crazy!!!

Thank you so much! We believe in the engineering concepts taught with these toys so much our plan was to splurge and get 1 or 2 for Christmas. After I saw your post this morning I ran out to see what I could get. Our store had them marked down to $5 and $7. I was able to pick up 4 sets and 2 dolls for $34…which would have been about the price we would have paid for one. We are so thrilled and decided to pick some up to give a family of girls we know that probably wouldn’t get this type of educational toy.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome! ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. Tracy

Does anyone have any DCPI numbers for the smaller build & craft sets?

  17. Jenni

I got three different ones today and put them away for birthday presents! Thank You!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      That’s awesome! You’re welcome Jenni!

  18. Jenn

My 10!daughter has a few of these sets and she enjoys them.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Glad to hear it!

  19. Stacy

I bought the dunk tank for $5 & spin machine for $7 today. I just checked local inventory & found that another Walmart nearby had them each for $3 but both are out of stock. Do you think the store selling it for $3 would let me return them & buy back for $3??????

    • Jennine

They may do it, Is it less than $6 for gas money and your time? For me the more stores I go to the more I spend :/ so I would t do it haha self control knowing yourself ๐Ÿ˜‰ I still think you got an awesome deal ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. tears

Awesome deal at Walmart. Keurig 2.0 breakfast blend 8pack. Originally $13.48 on sale for $2.00.
