I drove all over this morning trying to get this! It’s a joke, I am mad at Nintendo! They are putting like 2-18 per store, it’s next to impossible to get this darn thing. It’s the typical Christmas HOT item where it sells out ridiculously fast so I don’t think you should be made at Nintendo be frustrated with our society and the need to always have the newest/latest stuff. Amazon sent out emails early this week to everyone who was on the notification list (mine came Wednesday evening) saying it would be released today at 2pm pst on their website. Good luck getting one!
Actually, Nintendo is well known for releasing below the demand to stir up interest. They have done it with every release but if you wait they will be everywhere.
Nintendo only released so many of them….right at the holidays. If this was a new Xbox or PlayStation system it wouldn’t be an issue, cause they put out a normal quantity

Had only 6 at my Target. I heard price on ebay is at $200+, only to increase nearer to the holidays.
Its just like the hatchimals! People are selling them for $150and up (i saw one listed on ebay for over $300 AND it had bids on it!) people are crazy!!!
My kiddo spotted a hidden Hatchimal in Toys R Us when we were there for an event. Hundreds of adults passed by it & it was spotted by someone at eye level. We snatched it up.

Is this so hot because of the preloaded games? We have a system and they’re always for sale at our local used game stores for about $50…just very curious.
I’m going to try to get it, but the odds are slim. My brother in law tried 3 stores at opening today, including 2 Walmarts at midnight last night, and they sold out before getting to him in line. He said there was a line outside of Gamestop at 8:15 in 28 degrees and the store didn’t open until 10. The demand is very high with very low supply. One of the Walmarts only got 6. It’s insane!
I called Amazon and they said they were sold out and that the 2pm pt time is false and a mistake email. They said keep checking back they should have a shipment later today. So take it for it what it’s worth.

This is typical Nintendo strategy. There will be plenty available for Christmas, but they are certainly hyping it up right now to build desire. If I don’t get one on Amazon today, I’ll wait and try in a few weeks. I don’t recommend giving in to greed on eBay.

I was able to purchase online at Best Buy around 1am. I later got an email saying it was backordered but should be here on Dec 2. Fingers crossed!

Does anyone actually have it? I waited till today to use my 10% coupon at Target specifically for this, but all morning I’ve been checking the site and it says unavailable. I tried calling my stores and no answer.
It’s like Target disconnected all their phones..
Managed to get ahold of one store and they said they sold out as soon as they opened.
We had people lined up early in front of my store and it was one per person. Some people who wanted to buy more than one were upset about that, but it’s more fair that way.

Mine was named “Emily” and laughed when I told her my name. She made a joke about having the same name. The probability of us really having the same name about as much as her understanding my problem. I tweeted my problem in a DM to @AskTarget and they responded in a few hours and had fixed my issue.
And what exactly is wrong w/ having to speak to an Indian person that has an “American” name (whatever that’s supposed to mean), or any other name for that matter? Even if it isn’t their real name, how does it affect you at all? If they do use Anglicized names, then it’s only because Americans aren’t able to pronounce most non-White names without completely butchering them lol
I managed to get my hands on two of them.
I got one at game stop today. Two friends got them at best buy and another friend got hers at walmart. I don’t know anyone who was able to order off line. And quantities were very small in all stores
I spoke with Best Buy this morning. They ASSURED me there are plenty more coming. As soon as Wednesday next week. They also told me that this will quite possibly be a Black Friday deal where you get a free controller.

Started with Target about 15min before opening, there was a line, they said all claimed. Went to another, and same story. Came home, went to GameStop 1 hour before opening, and I was #10 of 11! I was going to do Amazon, but scored! Great luck everyone!
I too tried 24 hr Walmart I was told it had been sold out about 10pm b4 the game was even suppost 2b sold! this is strickly 4 me Ill wait until after holidays ppl on ebay & othersites should take a stand some r even up 2 500$
I waited in line at GameStop for almost 2 hours this morning. We were the first ones in line. My son was ecstatic thinking he’d get one. 30 minutes before opening the store, the manager shows up and “wonders” why a big crowd was there. He knew, but he acted like he was surprised. He then proceeds to tell us that he got 10 and sold them at midnight. Would have been nice if a sign had been left on the door so me and everyone else wouldn’t have been standing in the cold with small kids. I asked the manager why they were sold at midnight when they close at 9 PM and GameStop didn’t promote midnight orders. He said it was his store and he did what he wanted. My son said that he is never buying another game from them again. My very intelligent 10 year old told me the manager made him feel stupid like he should have known they’d be sold out the night before. So now I’m just using it as a learning experience for my son. Some times we’re disappointed, but we just keep going. It may happen in the future, but not right now.

Best Buy ! At gulfgate had 24 (3 ) people in line since last night ! I drove at 6 am saw the line and went home to get my daughter to go with me ! We were number 4,5 and people show up ! As one per customer, manager came out 8:30 am gave yellow slips to customers said if anyone leaves they could come by 10 am but, would sell them if not there by 10 am! 8:58 am open store had us in line inside by numbers ! # was number 4 got the last extra controller, I’m 48 said would never do this ! And here I was buying it for my 29 yr old daughter, my other daughter got it for my nephews, good luck finding them and hoping to get 2 for my other nephews! Thank you Collin for allowing us to

I still have mine too! Last time we got it out thought it was not working very well, I am scared to play it and break it!
Mine only works if I use my Game Genie…maybe you can buy one of those off eBay & it might help your games to work better?

I was able to get one last night at midnight. My 5 year old and I have been playing for 2 hrs now 🙂 we love it! It has some glitches but oh well.
There are so many scalpers buying all of these up! Hubs went to a nearby Walmart at midnight that had gotten a shipment of 12. The first 3 people in line bought all 12. (One of those people was an employee.) Then he drove to another Walmart and the employees there refused to go to the back to get them. One employee told the crowd they didn’t have them, then said they were sold out, then said they couldn’t get them without manager approval, and finally started telling everyone they weren’t allowed to sell them until 8am. Total waste of time. He managed to snag one online from Best Buy thankfully. This was our “big” gift for our son for Christmas.

Another idea is to use a fantastic site that I have used for “hot” items is nowinstock.net. You sign up to be alerted via text, email or however you want to be alerted when whatever hot item you are looking for is back in stock. Good luck everyone. 😀
I remember standing in line for a really long time to get an X-Box 360 over 10 years ago back when I was younger and had no kids….A few months latter after the Christmas season they were everywhere. These will be too for those who are frustrated it just may take time. Since I want one of these for myself I can wait till the hype dies down and they are more easily available.

I read somewhere that there will be more released throughout the season. They have the potential to make a lot of money, no way they would just release a few. This just builds up hype and want.
I bought this generic one from Amazon before, you have to buy the game cartridges separately. I got some Mario games for about $25 each from ebay. You can use NES and SNES cartridges.
