The link that I saved brought me to the console but then when it was 4pm, I went there, saw a listing from Amazon prime for $9.99 and the description says JUST the controller but was listed with all the consoles priced at $250…. I think there may have been a glitch??
I am okay with Nintendo pulling whatever marketing ploys they like but saying that an item will not be available until a certain time then selling them all beforehand is low. I could have tried this morning but kept waiting until the supposed time they were going on sale. Stupid me. Oh well, not a big deal if hubby doesn’t get one for Xmas! They will probably be all over in January.
You’re probably right, it’s going to be like that Atari thing a few years ago. Sold out instantly on Black Friday for like $50-60, few months after Christmas you could get it for $20 at Walmart.

I understand they are trying to create a demand but that was silly. I had one in my cart at 5 but then it disappeared. Then it would show one new for $59.99 but when I clicked on that it was would say try this link-and that lead to nothing. Then it would let me add it to my cart but it wasn’t prime eligible though it was shipped and sold by Amazon. I would add it to my cart but then nothing was there. Now the page won’t load at all. That’s just crazy!

Yes, same for me as everyone else. Kept ‘adding to cart’ which would take me to an empty cart. I was on, along with my SIL & mom, constantly refreshing from 15 mins before to 15 after. Oh well, I’m sure they will have more in stock leading up to the holidays but sorry I wasted my time.

I was on 5 minutes till 5. Kept hitting refresh so I wouldn’t miss it. Once it became available, I tried to add it to my card, and got an error message. Tried this for 5 minutes and kept getting the error message, then they were no longer available. My computer is very fast, but your site was too overloaded. Bad form, Amazon.

It is so funny to see how angry you all are. What did you expect? Every store in every city and online had a very limited supply. About 12 or less. Every blog known to man posted about these deal. Hip2save alone has tens of thousands of followers. Everyone did the exact same things, starting 2 minutes before signed on trying to get one. I bet there were hundreds of thousands of people that did the very same thing. It is not a scam or a hoax. There is no reason to get mad at nintendo or amazon or any other store. They are the supplier. This is a marketing ploy to get people hyped to buy this product over the next couple of weeks and months so that they can get more people interested in buying it. When it all dies down you will be able to buy them anywhere and every where for this price and eventually it will be clearanced out for a cheap price and it will make a great birthday gift. Calm down, breathe in, and be happy. This is such a silly thing to get so worked up about.

I think people are frustrated because a lot of our kids want this for Christmas. Nintendo should know the demand and plan according. It’s frustrating when there aren’t a lot of toy and it always seems to land in the hands of people who charge 5x the original price. That’s what’s frustrating!
Kids need to learn that they cannot get everything they want. Or should I say parents need to teach their kids that they cannot get everything they want. Some kids just want a hot meal. It makes me sick to see what holidays have turned into.
Its okay to be frustrated and disappointed but to be flat out angry is silly. I mean to bad so sad. Kids shouldn’t get anything and everything their little hearts desire. They need to know what no, and not this year, and maybe next time means. They need to know rejection when they don’t they think the world is handed to them on a silver platter and it is not. I did not get everything I ever wanted growing up and yes at the time I was disappointed, but you know what? I don’t remember what those things were. Like I said before it isn’t about target and best buy and amazon not meeting supply and demand. Nintendo only allows so many at every store to create a larger desire. As I said before this is a marketing ploy. My sister worked at target and they were not allowed to even place them on the shelf until the exact time these companies allow. You knew this was a hot buy and you knew that thousands of people were trying to get their hands on one and that there was very limited amount You should always hope for the best but expect the worst on things like this. Now excuse me while I go have dinner with my beautiful family who are here and happy and safe. Better than any nintendo out there.
This is how a hot item goes anyways. I can not believe so many people are complaining about this. You didn’t get one now well later you will its not like they are never going to have them again. Our stores around here had 20 to 35 and people were waiting up to 2.5 hours in line outside to get one.
