I shop there all the time you have great products. Every time I go in there the place is pack. All them other stores are expensive.when your on a fixed income you people come in handy.thanks

  2. Amy

Chunky cherry applesauce! I have not seen it there in 2 years though.

  3. Lorie Naylor

Eggs WERE cheap, not anymore. They were $1.20 for a dozen large, now they’re $1.70. I can get 60 large eggs at Walmart for $2.22. Walmart’s large cage free brown eggs are $2.98, actually I can get them at the farmers market for $2.00.

    • Susan

Really?!? I just paid $.44 for a dozen Latge eggs at my Aldi!

    • Stella

I agree. ALDI near me is definitely expensive for eggs. I’m so jealous my mom lives in a different state & often pays half the price for eggs and milk.

    • Michael D Couch

Must depend on your location. We have three Aldi in my area. Milk is $0.48 for half-gallon ,eggs are $0.28 a carton, a gallon of milk is 99-cents.

      I’m located in Lexington KY.

      • Alicia

Michael, those are great prices! A gallon of milk is 1.88 and a dozen eggs is 0.58 in NE Ohio right now.

    • Kevin

yeah def depends on location. Aldi in CA has okay egg prices, but nothing special. 1.38-1.68 at my store…some stores go on sale for 0.99 occasionally. but a new aldi just opened up across my nearby walmart so now the drama starts. Both of them dropped their egg prices to 0.68 a dozen haha. I love some friendly competition…especially when they are right across the street facing each other LOOL…

  4. Lizbeth Leeson

You didn’t mention their little jars of pesto: absolutely the best, short ( and healthy) ingredient list, and very inexpensive compared to other brands which have way too many other ingredients.

  5. olgraygirl

Where to start on Aldi faves–so many have already been mentioned. I love that they have Fit & Active whole grain spaghetti, the Kerrygold Dubliner cheese, ground bison…my latest indulgence: Burlwood Extra Dry Sparkling wine!! A must try if you love champagne and unbeatable under $5**

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I’ve had the Kerrygold butter but I’ve never tried the cheese, I’m going to have to pick some up for sure!

  6. Jessica

I love buying the organic things there: tortilla chips, peanut butter, canned kidney and pinto beans, pasta and sauce, ketchup. Also, some seasonal organic things I’ve found: canned garbanzo beans, refried beans, sunbutter, canned pumpkin, tomato paste, cream soups. The only things I’ve come across that I didn’t really like was their cream cheese and their brand of laughing cow cheese. I thought it tasted rubbery.

  7. takingachance

My sister loves their salt&pepper chips. I stock her up each time I visit Aldi. I love their brioche buns in the specialty line. The best deals though, that are often overlooked, are their $1.49 200 sq ft plastic wrap and $1.79 75 sq ft foil boxes—-the cheapest I can find them, so I stockup.

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

🤯I didn’t know about the plastic wrap or foil — I’ll have to pick those up, especially for those prices! Thank you for the tip!

      • Julie

I always buy my plastic wrap, foil, ziplock bags, detergent, toilet paper(the highest priced tp is as good as charmin for half the price), cooking oils or cooking sprays, flour, everything at aldi. I like their seasoned frozen chicken too. They have a fiesta chicken that’s delicious, throw in the oven frozen and it’s done 30-40 min later & perfectly seasoned. The Parmesan couscous is to die for, I keep buying 5 boxes at a time because I’m afraid they may not carry it in the future😂

  8. Sandra

I’m in love with their microwave popcorn! It’s so tender and crunchy.

  9. Vi Jackson

Aldis is my favorite store, what I can’t get at Aldi i go to Wholefoods for fresh bread and all the organic veggies. Like beets, celery cucumbers and loose carrots. I wish they would keep my Senergery drinks there. Gingerberry my choice.. you advertise you have it. I only bought it once. I go every Weds. I buy all your organic products . Need to get organic decaf coffee in the cups. Thank you keep up the good work.

  10. HBee

Aldi carries a thick crust Digiorno type pizza that is under $3. It’s pretty good and beats sale/coupon etc. deals for the name brand most of the time.

    • Alicia

My kids and I love the cheese rising crust pizza! 2.79 at our store!

  11. Sarah

I buy all of my bread there. Their white bread is only $.88 and so much softer than all of the other store brands like at Walmart and such. Also every few weeks they have boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.89 a lb. I stock up with a few packs whenever they have it.

  12. Marisha

Okay, I’ll join the party. I second almost everything (not a fan of thier crackers) everyone else had said and I’ll mention the items I love that no one mentioned yet. The parmesan chicken tenders (frozen) are absolutely amazing. I just tried the energy drinks like ‘Monster’ and oh wow are they good, the white one with zero sugar was actually better than brand name, they’re $0.99 and each can has two servings! I also love the salad kits (Asian, Ceasar, or Southwest) they make eating salad less of a chore. Take and bake bread, seasonal granola, Aldi brand black beans, Rotel, mexicorn, organic salsas, sauces (wing, BBQ,ketchup, mustard, etc.), Tortilla chips (thin and crispy like at chilli’s!)….I could keep going but I’ll stop, I think you get the idea lol.

  13. acgold

We have been shopping at Aldi for a few years. We noticed that the egg and milk prices are going up. Also the produce does not stay as long as the stuff we buy at Costco and Shoprite. Doesn’t matter organic or non-organic.

  14. C

Aunt maples pancake mix has restored my faith in boxed pancake mixtures. I had such a bad experience with aunt jemima, hungry jack and bisquick that I almost gave up. Aunt maple has no artificial colors or flavors.

  15. Kelly Reynolds

I am a huge fan of Greek yogurt, my family eats alot of it and it was getting very expensive. I found it at aldi for almost half the cost and the taste is actually just as good! I’m a huge Aldi shopper!

  16. Eloise Coleman

Aldi has the best center cut pork chops, vacuum packed baby back ribs and assortments of non-stick cooking spray. Excellent fresh fruit at affordable prices.

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Totally agree, Eloise! I just made crockpot BBQ ribs with their baby back ribs the other night 😋

  17. Javais

Their cereal is really good. My son Has a small allergic to food colorings and their fruit round cereal uses color from natural spices like paprika and turmeric.

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I didn’t know that, how cool! I love their cereal even more now 😄

  18. Nina

The Kerry gold butters also good for making ghee!

    • Katy

Our Aldi recently started selling ghee (in the baking aisle)

  19. Bunny

During the summer months they have bottles of premixed Bellinis (in the wine section). If I remember correctly, they have a peach version and a raspberry version. It’s seasonal, so I always stock up when I see them. Super inexpensive and great for a party.

  20. briem

We love their jumbo scallops! Only $10 for 12oz. They taste just as good as the fresh scallops at Kroger that are $22 per pound!

  21. Karissa

The peanut butter s’mores ice cream is delicious!!!!!

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I NEED to try that, it sounds unreal! Thank you for the tip!

  22. Helen wassmer

We just Love aldis in riverhead ny…..always something new and different. You never know….but if you find something you like…stock up…might take awhile to get it again….especially like the small brown sugar glazed ham just enough for two….brioche rolls.yum ….spicy chicken patties. Yum yum….not there often but when they are we stock up…same with frozen German pretzels..they go fast!!

Employees are friendly and very helpful…..love going there

  23. Pamper

Their pork chops are the absolute, most succulent ever! One problem, you can’t see to find specialty items a second time around like the classic crunchy vital cookies, to die for but can’t seem to find in any store.

  24. Jennifer L.

We LOVE Aldi. A few things I haven’t seen listed yet (in addition to organics in general)- organic med salsa, brown rice quick cook, never any chicken tenders, Naan flatbreads(these are just incredible for a base for BBQ chicken pizza or eating warmed with dinner), Berman’s Sweet BBQ sauce, frozen wild salmon, sweet kale salad mix, fruit pouches for the kids, unsweetened applesauce in jars, almond butter unsweetened almond milk, whole milk plain organic yogurt, frozen organic blueberries…I could go on!

  25. browniesmomma

We absolutely love the bone in hams they have around the holidays! Right after when they have an abundance left over, they mark them down Really Cheap! They also have the Hunnysuckle turkey breasts for like $1.39 /lb. We stock up on those & throw them in the smoker during the summer. Also, their turkey hot dogs are the best. The wines & cheeses, oh my… Produce, cereals, snack chips etc, dressings, sour cream, cream cheese, canned veggies, cereals, tortilla wraps, frozen pizzas, bags of rice, just about everything! I have found quite a few great deals on their “limited edition” products. The only thing I will not buy is their processed loaf cheese (velvetta style). I does not melt as good, has a strange taste & is just weird…. I have been shopping at Aldis for 31 years & still love them!!!

  26. Justine

When I lived in Germany as an exchange student, I loved to shop at Aldi – saved a lot of money that way. I was so pleased to find that Aldi is also in the US. I just wish Aldi would come to eastern WA.

  27. Richard

When is Aldi coming to San Antonio TX?

  28. Laura

I love their Light & Active Light Balsamic salad dressing. It tastes just like Newman’s Own. The large containers of Spring Mix , nuts and Winking Owl wines are also go-to favorites.

  29. Christo

“Sweet dreams are made of cheese. Who am I to dis a Brie?”

I see what you did there. 😉

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      💛🧀💛

      • Janice

And yes… I even sang it lol

  30. Georgie

Cranberry chicken salad! Assorted crackers, 6 kinds in box. Fit & Active products.

  31. Yolanda Nino

Bring back the lemon potatoes chips. My sons favorite. He was so disappointed when he could’nt find them anymore.

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Lemon potato chips?! I’d never heard of those but they sound so interesting. Such a bummer they don’t carry them anymore…

  32. MissesK

I love Aldi. I shopped there at least once a week There’s one 2 minutes from my house. That being said has anybody else ever noticed that all of their produce seems to be bruised I have actually seen employees throwing boxes of produce before. I’m starting to wonder if there’s not something in there training that says just put the produce up as fast as possible. I’ve also noticed that if you get the wrong cashier they throw things in your cart in such a way that I and hesitant to go back. I have had both take home fresh pizzas and fresh baked pies put into my cart completely standing up on end…. why would you stick an apple pie on its side? I know they have to be quick and efficient but you can still treat other people’s groceries like you would treat yours

  33. MissesK

Also, Emily I just moved to Buffalo New York. I wonder if we share an Aldi!! Thanks for the great article!

    • Emily (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hey hey neighbor!! Hope the city is treating you well — Go Bills!

  34. Amy

The Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels. Oh. My. Word. THEY’RE SO GOOD! I refuse to buy them though simply because of the shame I feel in how quickly I’ll down a whole container. They’re by far the best item in the store lol.

  35. Maryjo Oloughlin

Aldis I’m told by my children and my sons in laws have the best chicken salad ever !!

  36. Mary no

We have been shopping at aldi for 20 years best place ever. Is their any chance of getting one in Apollo Beach fl. Pelxi is to expensive for us.

  37. Tabitha. Holshouser

Our Aldi carries a sweet potato casserole in the frozen food case…it is so delicious! Although sometimes hard to find. I buy a lot of can soups and they taste remarkably like Campbell’s at almost half the price. Their Mexican section has great prices and all are very tasty. Thank you Aldi for coming to Salibury, NC

    • SocialSpinz

Ditto on the sweet potato casserole! I tried that for the first time around Thanksgiving and it was really good with pecans on top!

  38. Marie Parker

We don’t have Aldis where I live!! Boo

  39. Kate

I always get their turkey hotdogs, turkey bacon and ground turkey!! My kids love this stuff!!

  40. Trixie

Any item that says Deutsche Küche. They are typical food items from Germany like Spätzle/ egg noodles, Sauerkraut and red cabbage. There are so many more. Just look for the blue Deutsche Küche writing on the packaging.

  41. marcus norton

The steel cut oats at Aldi’s I’ve found to be quite the bargain compared to other grocers. I even looked into buying steel cut oats in bulk and Aldi’s still was the better bargain.

Also cheese in general is cheaper per oz at Aldi’s compared to Walmart as well as butter.

  42. Dawn Haak

Aldis has been our go to grocery store for a few years now. Yep, we spend about $200 a week there. We have a number of favorites (too many to list). But here is my number one fav.
The refrigerated salsa! OMG it is sooooo gooood! We get 3 containers a week. We buy the parmesean garlic pita chips to dip into the salsa. All I can say is YUM

  43. Anonymous

I mostly do fruit, produce, milk, and salad stuff…I do like the gluten free foods. They are really good and overall cheaper than at most stores. I also like their Mama Cozzi Hawaiian pizza. I used to buy their philly cheese steak meat but I don’t see it sold anymore. I have bought their bread too and it’s okay. One thing I tried once were their gingerbread cookies…they were seasonal at Christmas one year but I never saw them again. They were so good. I have noticed higher prices on milk and eggs though. Overall, Aldi’s is a great way to save money.

  44. Shantel

The Boulder trash bags are just as great quality as Glad, etc but only $5 a box. I won’t buy trash bags anywhere else now.

  45. SocialSpinz

I love Aldis and have shopped there when I was younger with my parents before it became trendy. I was actually embarassed to shop there because it wasn’t considered “cool” back then lol. Oh my how things have changed!

My favorites at Aldi’s is their french onion soup which is only around certain times in the Fall. I love their sweet onion salsa, chopped salad kits, gourmet salad dressings, shredded cheese, variety of frozen pizzas, boneless ribs are better than most stores I’ve tried and way cheaper, boneless pork chops, frozen steamed broccoli florets, salted caramels are delicious, bagged trail mixes and nuts, black bean tortilla chips, vegetable chips, brioche buns, their version of girl scout cookies are great among so many more!

  46. ds

Produce and their cookies are awesome

  47. lindak

Let’s not forget the chocolate truffles and stollen available around Thanksgiving. My husband bought 2 cartons of the truffles last year.

  48. Emily

My dog had to have canned pumpkin in her food for digestion. Aldi was by far the best price. They did not carry it year round, so once ot hit the shelves, we bought a ton! It was funny when they asked if we were making a lot of pies and we just said, “no,” with no explaination, as if buying 30 cans was normal. Ha!

  49. Nichole

Coconut oil, all organic. Organic vanilla and other flavorings. The butter, Aldi brand ith nothing but cream and salt.

  50. BARBARA SUMPTER

Love, love, love, there flap meat for Carnes asada very good. They had these frozen manacodi that where so good and y r a quick meal with there vodka sauce. I have tried there spiral zucchini with the vodka sauce OMG wonderful.Love there garlic bread.also.
