Over the past decade, Hip2Save has been able to post SO many awesome freebies and deals – thanks to all of our amazing readers who have passed many of them along to us! ❤

AND, since we’re celebrating Hip’s 10th birthday, we thought it’d be fun to recap some of our favorite freebies and deals over the years. From in-store deals to exciting sweepstakes and HOT freebies, we definitely had a hard time narrowing our faves down to just a few!
2008:
When I first launched the site back in 2008, I loved shopping at Walgreens! I managed to snag quite a few freebies, money-makers, and lots of unbelievably inexpensive items.
I can’t believe how young Piper and Ayden were 😢 — they were such good helpers and loved posing with my Walgreens loot! ❤ Time flies!
2009:
Oh the good ‘ol days of Kmart Double Deals! I remember scoring over $280 worth of products for just over $25 – including tax! 😱 I was super excited and walked out of Kmart with a huge smile I couldn’t seem to wipe off my face! I was one proud coupon lovin’ momma! 💃
Oh, and anyone else remember staying up super late for those *HOT* $75 off $100 and $50 off $100 Old Navy coupons found on the OldNavyWeekly.com site back in 2009?! Those were awesome! 😍

2010:
From 54¢ Hair Clips at The Limited, to a FREE ProForce Cleaning Kit for Sam’s Club members, to the FREE candy at Rite Aid, FREE Fisher-Price car with free shipping, and a $9 Listerine money-maker at Walgreens, there were lots of fun deals in 2010!

2011:
Anyone remember the fun Wendy’s “Here’s the Beef” T-Shirt Contest? There were so many Hip2Save readers who won a free shirt, like this cute couple who were featured on a Happy Friday post!

If you were a CVS shopper back in 2012, there was a smokin’ HOT deal you could score on a Craig 4GB MP3 Player! A reader had emailed to let me know that these MP3 Players that were listed in the weekly ad for $49.99 (reg. $79.99!) were ringing up for ONLY $9.99 and you’d get back a $10 CVS CashCard! Were any of you able to score this deal back in the day? If so, do you still use your MP3 player? 😂

every deal on Hip2save is my favorite , even if i can not buy everything lol , a friend told me about hip2save just over 9 yrs ago, and it helped me with 2 sons going thru college, 3 grandsons , 4 nephews and now my one & only very spoiled niece !!! i tell everyone about this site !! I too have followed you since the beginning. I lived in Boise then, now I’m in Cailfornia talking care of aging parents. You have helped me get so many freebies and great deals over the years. I thank you so much and so does my family! I tracked the coupon savings for about the first 3-4 years back when couponing was so easy and so good before all the changes and “that show”. Yesss… Kohls has some killer deals. They had unbelievable clearance on boots for $5 or less this weekend, and I was able to get new boots for my kids and a few extra to donate to charity this winter. Regular price was $50. Killer deal.

Remember when you could walk into a store with a stack of coupons, and the entire staff didnt give you the evil eye? When you could get overage after overage from your coupons, you could stack store coupon after store coupon with your manufacturer coupons without needing all the management from the store being called in to verify your coupons? Aah, the good ole days. I was thinking about some of the best deals over the last few years, and and some are non existent (like the chances of you getting Olay body wash for free, or near free), and while there are still amazing deals to be had, there is so much more effort and work involved to get good deals. The rebate apps definitely help with that though. I love Ibotta, I make so much money using it.
Ok this isn’t a deal but a great find being your keto fat head pizza dough. This is my favorite find this year and also the mug cake. Loved watching your first keto video cracking up wondering if anyone was watching. You guys are great!

Kmart used to be awesome with the points. They would give out free points all the time, I could coupon and get so much without spending anything. Now all my Kmarts around me have closed. But Sears this last weekend was spend $50 on shoes get $25 back in points. They had shoes on sale for $5 and $6 for kids! I got my son 3 pairs of shoes and my bf got a pair of sandals, then on the way to the register swimsuits were 70% off so my son got a pair of trunks and rash guard for next year for $10. I spent $60+ tax but got back $25 in points; I’m not mad at it! lol. I also remember one time Kmart was giving out free codes like free $25 to spend, I got so much free stuff at Kmart lol.
Time sure flies! Been here since the beginning & remember about all of those deals! Actually wear my husband’s”Where’s the Beef?” shirt as a pajama top lol. Another good one I remember was Melissa & Doug wooden blocks from JCPENNEY I think, 2011 or 2012 maybe. My kids still play with those! Certainly too many deals to count! 1.) Nov the 2015 $72 Razor Pocket Mod. I left home n the middle of cooking thanksgiving dinner to catch this deal.😁 (Saved it for my daughter’s bday that next July….)
2.) 2016 the $60 iPad Air (I was able to catch three in store….)
3.) 2018 the $13 Jbl Clip 2 speaker (was able to find 3 of this in store also)

I love the April Fool’s day posts, following you all day on Black Friday, getting updates on the Hot Amazon Black Friday in July deals, all the awesome videos….I could go on and on. When I was a single mom my daughter had fantastic Christmas day surprises because of the deals on this site. I learned how to coupon like a pro, that entering contests was legit (and I can’t even count the number of wins including some grand prizes!) and have been touched and inspired by the countless “pay it forward” posts on this site. I don’t remember what year it was, but there was a coupon for a free pair of mens Dockers dress pants at either JC Penney or Sears… I had coupon high for the rest of the month from that one!
And I still use the iPad I scored for $59 from the Walmart clearance in 2016 😁
Oh my! Sooo many good deals over the years. Old Navy had some spin & win app, you’d get to spin when you walked in the store and I hit quite a few $ off , mostly $2-$3 (my highest was $10 off any purchase) . I still have my Wendy’s Where’s the Beef shirt too! People look at me strange when I wear it LOL I also won a tee from Wonderful Pistachio’s. I think my favorite was the FREE Personalized Christmas stocking from Walmart a few years ago. I got 5, but I know there were some that went overboard on that one. Oh and the FREE mug from Shutterfly with NO shipping!! That was a late night offer that I was glad I checked H2S before.

so many good deals…. i have set of 10 fiesta rainbow dishes that i enjoy everyday and love openning the cupboard and seeing all the colors. love the Victoria’s secret deal that we mailed in the cards and got codes. I haven’t bought dish soap and tide for 3 or 4 years 😂😂😂. haven’t bought razors for a few years. love Ella+ Milla deals,loved the plant therapy deals in 2016,and I did not know anything about them before then until I read all the good comments and took advantage of the deals posted here. Happy 10 years! Thank you so much for helping me save money so that I could be stay home with my kids for a few years! Thanks to your help one Target run for $300 worth of diapers, wipes, & other household item- with coupons, cartwheel, & gifts cards I got my total down to $25!!!!! It was awesome! Another time I went to Target and the shopper in front of me had the same stuff. I giggled and asked if she also followed Hip2Save. She looked at my stuff and said yes. We are in the process of making a long move so have not really purchased much of anything lately that was not for donation or is perishable. I do recall great deals on shampoo (25 cent a bottle) and really cheap dishwasher tablets as well as close to free liquid hand soap. I am sure that I have not bought some of those items for 6 years or so. I am always surprised when someone mentions they are out of a staple item with long shelf life – why are they not following Hip2Save?!
Does anyone else see how the deals have been less and less as the years go by. Some of those early years (like 8-10 years ago) were pretty great. Seems like companies are really pulling back as more people are learning the art of saving money:(
I agree the deals online are not as spectacular as they once were. I find higher discount deals on clearance racks and bins in store. heck I love garage sales. I find great stuff there all the time. I stop whenever I see one. online deals are harder to come by and they take codes ( that don’t always work) which gets frustrating. I hate when I have a super deal in my cart I check out then it is oos. online deals can be great or frustrating. I have gotten many good deals from hip especially the free dog food and cat litter, from petsmart.
Yes, the deals have definitely dwindled! I still do okay at Target and CVS but nothing like years back! Also, the grocery stores around me have cracked down hard on coupons so it’s really tough to get any deals on food.

Safeway has a just4u coupon in this weeks ad for Jennie O ground turkey for $1.99 and there is/was a $1.50 off Jennie O coupon on coupons.com making it only .49¢ I know supermarket deals are regional so it may not be available everywhere. I’m in Washington state.
I won a good amount of instant win promotions. The best was the $1000 home for the holidays. Do you remember when Old Navy had an app that you could spin to win things daily. I got a lot of freebie clothes for my son back then.
2016 was a good year! Due to Hip2Save, I bought a $5 mist from VS that came with a “bonus” secret rewards card. So I got 2 cards with my purchase, one card ended up being worth $10, the other one, $500! First time I ever participated in the rewards so I was very excited! I was also able to stock up on Christmas presents with it! Thanks Collin and team!
I learned about coupon from this website back in 2010. Haven’t coupon much for the last 2 years since I still have so much stuff to use. Family and friends love to visit me to get bags of freebies bags. When someone at work having a hard time, I would ask them what things they need then I make a few bags for them.
I love the Victoria Secret free gift cards, one entry per day per address!!!!!

I am very thankful for ur tips and strategies. I share my deals with family, friends and the food pantry. The deals have changed but I am still able to score 50 to 95 percent off by only buying items on sale and stacking. I bought Beats solo headphones brand new for $22 and UE blue tooth speakers for $23 ea. I have learned to stockpile greeting cards when on sale and with coupons. Ur site has changed our lives. Saving money on food,healthcare, personal care and household products enables us to shift money to travel, private school, and kids sports. All one one modest income!
I’ve been following since 2015. I’ve saved so much from so many good deals. 2016 the Yankee candle deals rocked, I got so many candles for my husband for Christmas, we still have some left. And Kmart/shop your way deals.
I still have my Wendy’s shirt and I wear it to bed all the time! It’s one of my favorites and so soft.

Loved all the baby deals this year! My fave deal so far has to be the new Amazon baby registry welcome box & teething scarf. Both were so nice & were a special treat during this pregnancy. 34 weeks & the countdown is on–can’t wait to meet our little guy!
