So. Many. Great. DEALS. 🤩
The last week for me has been so exciting when it comes to deal shopping finds! 🙌 My kitchen is now filled with a fun assortment of coffee mugs, cookware, new dishes and more.
With that said, I thought it’d be fun to share some of my recent scores! 💃
My deal shopping escapades started with my daughter at a thrift store last weekend. You know us, we love making thrift store runs to see what treasures we can find! While browsing the book section, my daughter picked out a new read — the condition was like new and the price just can’t be beaten when you buy used!
We also love buying old cookbooks and came across this one from the 1970s. Lina has been making old-school recipes lately, so we’re excited to give these classic dishes a try.
To go along with this find, I spotted this adorable pot I’m calling a soup pan — I’m in love with it! 😍 It was calling my name right when I saw it. We also found a vase to replace our super stylish Pringle can. We’re proud of our ingenuity, but the cardboard cylinder just wasn’t holding up too well.
Since my birthday was on August 20th, one of my team members Angie sent me this hilarious poop mug from an Etsy shop — she knows me so well! 💩😂
To give our kitchen cabinets even more new accessories, I bought these cute Anthropologie coffee mugs. They’re such a nice size, high-quality, and they were only $5 each (and still are if you’d like to score this deal, too!). Now the whole family has one with their initial.
Speaking of Anthropologie…
I had some Anthropologie gift cards to make use of from my birthday (yes, my family and friends are very aware of my slight addiction to all things Anthro!) , so I used one when they were offering 20% off plus free shipping and got these gorgeous gold wire earrings. While that sale is over, you can still get an extra 20% off sale items at Anthropologie, these earrings included!
But I didn’t stop there as I had another gift card to use! 🙌 I couldn’t resist adding these beautiful floral print plates, bowls, and pot holders to my Anthropologie cart. Even better, after the sales and gift cards, my out-of-pocket cost was only $3.57! SWEET!
Oh, and these adorable home items are still on sale with an EXTRA 20% off when you add them to your cart! 🎉
And then the birthday celebration continued! On top of getting food freebies at places like Red Robin, Olive Garden, Krispie Kreme, Auntie Anne’s, and Starbucks, I took advantage of makeup freebies from Sephora and Urban Decay. 💄
Since I’m a Beauty Junkie with UD, I had a birthday promo in my account for a FREE full-sized highlighter with purchase, so I added a travel-sized foundation to my online cart to not only get my birthday freebie, but I was able to get a mascara sample as well — I LOVE free beauty samples! 😍
I worked up quite an appetite scoring all these awesome deals. Wouldn’t you know that we featured this sweet (or should I say savory) food freebie! It was a printable coupon for a free bag of Wilde Chicken Chips (a value of $5.99!)… I redeemed mine at Whole Foods. Probably one of my favorite recent deals was this set of old-fashioned Corningware Cornflower bakeware dishes. How adorable are these measuring bowls?! 😍 They have me feeling so nostalgic from the meals we had when I was a kid! I love the fact that the bakeware set has coordinating covers making storing leftovers a breeze.
I’m so happy they brought back this classic style, and I’m even happier that Macy’s had them on sale! The sale has ended but they’re still on sale with a new promo code for 20% off — Sweet!!
What’s not so sweet…
One of my bakeware items arrived completely shattered. 😫 And it sounds like this same thing happened to other customers according to the reviews and reader comments. On a positive note, I called Macy’s with my order number and got connected to a customer service rep right away (I ❤️ good customer service!), and they told me they would ship a new one out the next day! In addition, they told me to just throw the broken one away and not worry about shipping it back. The whole situation was so easy!
And lastly, I received my order from Walgreens.com that I placed last week when there were some awesome BOGO sales and digital coupons. I got everything from cereals to school supplies to personal care products to laundry detergent and more – that altogether was worth over $100 — and my actual total came to under $40 including shipping! 😱 How sweet is that!?
I wish I could say this sale was still going on, but it has unfortunately ended. 😞 That said, you can always save on future Walgreens orders by combining digital coupons with sales/promos and getting the $10 off $50 discount when you use Masterpass!
I’ve had such a fun week shopping online, scoring birthday freebies, and browsing the thrift store shelves with my daughter. We never know what’s in store for us on these deal hunting trips!

Happy belated birthday 🎂 funny you mentioned thrift stores I like going there too my most recent purchase was a spanx denim jegging new for 5.00 on their website now for 98.00, but I buy most my clothing thru this site for example the j crew factory deal posted usually this site is cheaper price better conditions than any thrift store. I found a pair of Speery topsidees I had been wanting at thrift though for 6.00 happy camper here 😀

Why did you pare back your belongings so dramatically if you’d have to replace so much? It must be so frustrating replacing home basics piecemeal.
Hi Erin! We found it so nice to purge belongings we had owned over the course of our marriage (almost 15 years!). Many items were not being used at all. We sold a ton through garage sales and Craiglist, and also donated items. It has actually been fun starting fresh, and finding deals on new items.
I’m glad Reno has been comfy enough for proper defecating! (-; Love those mugs and the cookware. I’m a sucker for kitchen stuff.
