Please Share Your FAVORITE Black Friday Buys
In all the years I have been blogging, I must admit that the Black Friday online deals have not been very impressive this year. It seems like the deals that happened on Wednesday and Thursday (Thanksgiving) of this week were better than the deals posted today, 11/23, Black Friday. 🤔 However, our teams did have two TOP picks from today…
- Hulu 12-Month Subscription ONLY 99¢ Per Month (Best Offer Ever)
- Purchase $50 Target Gift Card & Get Rare 20% Off Future Purchase Coupon
In addition, we’re gearing up for Cyber Monday and keeping our fingers crossed that the deals will be much better than today’s deals so that we can get our holiday shopping done! 🤞🏻 And don’t forget that our team will be posting deals 24/7 through Cyber Monday to bring you all the latest deals!
Speaking of deals, have you scored any awesome Black Friday deals, either online or in-store? If so, we want to hear ALL about them! On the flip side, I have also received several emails from readers who are searching for the best deals on certain items and looking for tips and tricks on how to save the most. SO…
Let’s help each other out – that’s what Hip2Save is all about!
If you have a great deal or bargain that you’ve snagged today or this Black Friday week, please share it in the comments below. If you’re looking for a specific item or deal, please mention it below and hopefully another Hip2Save reader will come to the rescue!
I got a year of Hulu for $0.99 A MONTH & some $2.00 bath bombs from Nectar Treats. I would have gotten more stuff but I didn’t win any of the gift card giveaways today lol 😜
Is Hulu really .99 a month? Sounds to good to be true
I got a Magnolia wreath from Kirkland’s for $12! Their shipping is crazy so I’m picking it up in store, but that’s the cheapest I’ve ever seen one and it has great reviews.
I got a fire pit from Best Buy for 14.99 with free shipping!
Do you have a link you could share? I couldn’t find it, just covers.
I saw that on-line too but I thought it was only for the cover?? I didn’t see any fire pits that price, could you share a link of a skew # that’s an amazing prize!!
For a split second, I thought there was one listed for the $14.99, then read these comments, went back and yep, just a cover. So now I’m curious to find the fire pit for $14.99.
Didn’t find anything this year. It’s the first year I’m done with Christmas shopping and cards before December!! I feel thankful that I have just about everything I need from other years: (Coffee makers, kitchenaid etc.) I made a donation to the Red Cross and that was it. I feel the deals could have been better as well. *underwhelmed*. Let’s see what Cyber Monday brings. 😊 Thanks again for all you do!!
*I should add: I shopped for everyone on my “List” in days/weeks prior to Black Friday.
I agree! there where a few ok deals, like the Hulu one, but nothing *BIG*
I agree! I got some decent deals to finish off my Christmas shopping, but nothing to write home about.
Kohls had turtlenecks for less than $6. I hope I’m happy with them!
$5 OPI nail polish in hot pink for my 80+ year old grandmother. Gotta keep her young! 🤣😊❤️
Where did you get $5 OPI?!
Daphne..ulta 🙂 has them for 5$
Thank you!!
I think it was Ulta.
Yes, Ulta. I bought about 8 of them last night. The colors are picked over now.
Its $4 at TJ Maxx/Marshall’s all the time
The Fitbit Charge 3 for $119, plus $30 Kohls cash, was a pretty good deal, I thought!!
Our favorite score was actually getting free breakfast burritos at Taco Johns!
I got a pair of $40 sandals for my niece for Christmas for $0.005 — yep! Half a cent! lol They were on a clearance rack of shoes at Belk and were an extra 50% off the lowest price. I noticed they had a blue Sharpie mark of “1¢” on the box, so I went to price check them at a scanner and they rang as 0¢ (because how would I pay 0.005¢?). Free Christmas gift!! 🎁 🎄 👠
WE HAVE A WINNER!!
That is too funny! 😆 Good score though!
I want a picture.
Walmart had some great deals on men’s socks, underwear, and thermal layers. Nice to stock up on!
Home Depot had poinsettias for $1.00, wreaths for $6.00 and Christmas tree plants for $5. I bought 10 poinsettias so I can be like Oprah! You get a poinsettia, you get a pointsettia!! They also had barbies for 5.88, matchbox cars for .69 and hotwheels tracks for 8.88!
Like Oprah 😂🤪😂
Best in store:
Used the $15 off $15 in store coupons at Sears for candles and knit caps that were already on sale 50 – 60% off.
Best on line:
Kohls Corningware and Pyrex sets.
Yes! The $15 off $15 @Sears was a total score because it could be used on top of Black Friday Sale prices. THANK YOU Hip2Save for the heads up on the coupon. And THANK YOU to all who responded in the comments that all you have to do is re-text TURKEY to get it to work. Thanks again!! LOVE this site!
I got a set of deep pocket queen sheets from Kohl’s- sticker price of $109 but I ended up paying closer to $20. Not a Christmas present but I’m pretty happy!
Colleen, I’m looking for sheets at Kohl’s too! Do you mind sharing which brand/kind you got at this price? Thanks!
I scored two google home hubs for $150 that’s $75 each! We’re keeping one for the house and gifting the other one. I also got one year of Hulu with a money maker deal, after Ebates and Amex offers, Hulu is paying me $3 to use their service for a full year! This also includes a month of Starz for free! Also got a money maker echo dot, made $4 from no rush shipping and a free month of Amazon music! I’m overall happy with this year’s haul.
This is awesome! Where did you snag the home hubs?
Hi Erin! I got them thru Kohl’s. They were $99 each so I got two for $198 and got $60 back in Kohl’s cash. Plus 6% back thru Ebates. After taxes and cash back they came out to just under $75 each.
Where did you get the money maker on the echo dot?
I did the $1 echo dot deal with the free trial subscription to Amazon music unlimited that was posted here. By subscribing, Amazon credited your account a $1 echo dot. I chose no rush shipping and got a $5 book purchase credit so a $4 money maker. 😁
I was excited about cute Christmas coffee mugs at Fred Meyer for $2.99. They were definition mugs for Naughty, Nice, Jolly, and Merry. They were probably 20 ounce mugs which I love. I may have to go grab some more.
I’d have to say clothing deals at Kohl’s, video games from Target, mascara from Ulta and $1.00 socks from old navy. Thanks Hip2save for my Black Friday shopping guide. It was a lovely Black Friday shopping day.
I bought 1 chromebook, then my husband decided we should get both kids one. But then they were sold out. So now I’m on search of a good deal for cyber Monday. Thanks for all your work hip2save team
In the same boat
25% off 2 pairs of shoes at Dicks sporting goods plus and additional $20 off $100. A pair of Kyrie Irving’s for my son, a pair of adidas for me and some nike Christmas socks because the teenage son doesn’t do Christmas jammies. All for $110.
I won a $500 Lowes gift card through their Black Friday text promo! 😃
Wowwww!
Awesome! Congratulations
I just want to thank you and your team for all your hard work! The giveaways made it extra fun 😊 I took advantage of the $5 off Amazon book deal, the free shipping and clearance at Nordstrom Rack and got a pair of earrings for less than $3 shipped! Also took advantage of some of the makeup deals you posted.
Ps4-$199, Apple Watch $199, $4 dvd’s, free Peter Millar soft cooler with any purchase, phone printer for $99 and 30 Kohl’s cash back, b1g1 half off slippers at famous Footwear with extra 15% off, clearance Nike Pro and extra 25% off at Nike.
Galaxy note 9 from Best buy and Otterbox cover. Betsey Johnson earrings from Betsey Johnson’s website.
Probably the .99 Hulu deal was my favorite. I bought some of the $19.99 memory foam slipper boots house shoes for $4.98 at CVS today. So soft. Decided to get the shop vac posted here from Walmart. $5 gift card from Lowe’s for the secret bf word. 40 count Walmart premium napkins for $1.
I got the ps4 deal and a necklace from Kohls online at midnight. I always try to save my Ibotta cash for Christmas so I only paid $125 out of pocket for both after my gift cards and got $80 Kohls cash in return.
First year without purchasing on Black Friday. I already have a lot of Christmas done thanks to all you do year round!
I got 10 free poinsettas at lowes and got a $5 lowes gift card from giveaway. (They were $0.50 each) I love poinsettas♡
I got a Hoover vacuum for $49 at Walmart!
I got great dvd deals at Walmart. My dad is a huge movie watcher so this should keep him busy for a while. I did a lot of my shopping at Kohl’s on Veteran’s Day so I didn’t have to do much today.
Savers thrift store had 75% off pants open-12noon (then 50% noon to close). I found pants for my son 1.49-7.99 to start with, then the discount! 🤗
I was most pleased with the deal on Kitchenaid attachments from Best Buy. I got the pasta roller/cutter and fresh prep attachments for $99. I’ve been wanting the pasta attachments for awhile and have never seen such a good deal!
I got the doorbuster grill at Lowes for $89 and received a $25 gift card as part of their text promotion. I got a jacket for my husband at JCP for 75% off and a free pair of panties from Kohls with their $10 off $10 promo. Thanks for keeping us notified for all the deals… especially that Lowes text promotion!
Getting six packs of mens socks to donate to a homeless shelter. Also, buying a 127 piece playset for my play nephew’s birthday in May. I know I’m going to get put out the party.

Hi Collin and the rest of the Hip2Save Team! I totally agree that the “BF Deals” this year were just not great. I think this is a sign to come that businesses would rather release deals early to avoid the BF temperament that often occurs on that day. In addition, we will probably start seeing many of these deals released online. It’s sad because the thrill of the chase of getting these deals just aren’t there anymore. I remember a time when you only found out about the BF sales on Thanksgiving Day because that was when the local newspaper came out! As a family, we would gather after Thanksgiving dinner, lay out all the ads and peruse each one with excitement. This year, we all stayed in and pretty much haunted Hip2Save in hopes of winning a gift card (no luck this year!). LOL The most I took advantage of was the 20% off Target coupon deal when you spent $50, which also included gift card purchases. Anyway, thanks again for all that you do! Onto the next deal that you have waiting for us! 😀
I agree. Target didn’t have the GC like normal. I was very surprised.
Hulu was the best deal today for us.
We found better deals leading up to today for sure.
Hey! The Frizz here!
Mindware.com
Promo: SAVEBIG18 =$40 off $300
Ebates: 10% cashback
Label maker from staples for $10 instead of 40 and cyber Monday’s price is more so yay
We bought a computer at Staples for $369.99 regular price was $629.99.
I personally was thrilled with my free Friday Candle from Kroger. Also, I got some great eyebrow filler makeup from the clearance section of Kohl’s for $1.50, men’s slippers, a bracelet, and a neat decorative beachy lighted mason jar with my $10 off coupon and 15% off.
I absolutely agree… the deals were pretty nonexistent this year. I think my favorite deal was the sheet sets for $24 at Walmart Wednesday night. Cotton sheets with high thread counts are so expensive usually! Even though this year has seemed to have little deals to choose from, it’s been way more fun for some reason. 🙂 Which is even better in my opinion! I’ve had a lot of fun with everyone here, so thank you all!
Lowe’s poinsettia for 50 cents. I got 3 boxes. They are great to take to the cemetery.
Cricut Maker bundle 😲
Where did you find the best deal? I have been searching! 🙂 they are still so expensive!
Check HSN. I paid $333 for maker bundle. I ordered on wednesday late night and it got delivered today!!
Dillard’s – Bought all the boys in the family name brand shirts, Hurley, Volcom, Quicksilver, etc ranging from $3.00, $7.00 and dress shirt $15 each. They were clearanced with an additional 50% off! Then bought a couple of the smaller kiddos these adorable blankets wrapped in the arms of a stuffed animal, SUPER soft and cuddly, also additional 50% off!!!! And for the lovely ladies, all Clinique make-up was buy one get one half off with additional 20% off $100 and gift!!! 🎅🏻 🎄 ⛄️ Merry Christmas everyone!!!! 😊
Walgreens has the 16″ smushmallow pets half price today for $9.99. My daughter absolutely loves hers she has . They are so soft and squishy and cuddely.
My favorite was getting the lol doll house for just over $100 weeks ago when Barnes & Noble had their sale $5 off every $25 I think it was 🤔, plus 20% off code they emailed me another 20% off for the teaching discount.
Me, too! I got that for my daughter for about $131 after taxes, using my coupons and teacher discount. A great score!
I feel totally worn out after hosting Thanksgiving yesterday, so free HBO this weekend has been my best find. 🙂 (I have The Greatest Showman on my DVR now!)
Love that movie! Enjoy your relaxation!
LOL! That’s what I did today, too. Watched Greatest Showman on free HBO from FIOS.
I got the spherical bb8 droid from Best Buy $29.99 plus I got $10 cash back as part of their Black Friday deal I guess, taxes and everything I only paid $21.99
*Sphero 🤪🤪
Great score,Vivi! Thanks for sharing!
I stayed snuggled up on thanksgiving and did most of my shopping online. I went out to target around 6 pm tonight and was happy to find the doorbuster cardigans I wanted were still available. Then hit cvs and scored every free item in the ad – rolled ecb. I’ll remember that for next year that I really don’t have to go right at open. My best deal was probably the 3 months of Amazon music with echo dot for $2 (tech free since used digital/gc credit). Otherwise I didn’t have anything particularly big that I needed or wanted this year.
American Girl didn’t have a very impressive Black Friday Sale online….but luckily Target had their Our Generation B1G1 50% yesterday and today. My daughter will be very excited as I was able to get some good deals!! The outfits fit AG dolls great but the shoes are hit or miss.
Won a $200 cooler from Peebles and got a pair of boots for $7 there after the $10 off coupon!
