I have this printer! I got it last year as a gift! I love it! And I love the instant ink program. I’ve had no issues with it and even set it up with my google home mini to turn it on so I can print hands-free! 100% recommend for the price!

I’ve had this printer for a couple of years. At first, I was hesitant about the instant ink but I absolutely love it. It has saved me a ton of $$ on ink.

I really like their instant program. I pay $3.00 a month for up to 50 pages printed. There is $5 for 100 pages and then a $10 for 300 pages, and other plans up to $20. And unused pages rollover into your account. They send you new black and color cartridges as needed (before it runs out.). You only pay the monthly plan. I find it convenient and better than worrying about the high cost of cartridges. For a free month try referral code try.hpinstantink.com/dZ8zR

    • dblD amber

Agreed, it’s amazing. We have the free printing option for up to 15 pages a month . He hardly print at home. They we automatically get refills in the mail when needed. No fear of ever being out of ink.

      • karenhuang

Thank you for the comment. I was hesitant about the instant ink program, cos I donโ€™t print a lot, but need a printer, good to know there is a free plan and the $3/month 50 pages is still a great deal

        • Mac

We do the free 15 pages too. Also if you do go over it’s only $1 for each set of 10 prints. Just do all 10 prints because if you say print 16 print you will be paying $1 for just that 1 extra print. Hope that makes since. Also if you know you need ro print alot in a month you can change your plan and then go back to a different plan at the end of the month. Just need ro remember ro change back.

          • Claire Smith

How did you get the free 15 pages? It initially showed as an option and then took it away once I selected the printer I was registering.

  6. Ger

Bought this couple weeks ago same price & itโ€™s an awesome printer! Especially love the ink program! They basically pay you to buy the printer. After you spend $30, you get about $15 worth of ink instantly. It comes in a code form, but itโ€™s in your account. Itโ€™s really awesome!

    • Chelsey (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the great feedback Ger!

    • paul

I bought it, a few weeks ago, also. I’m signed up for the free ink option. But, because the free ink wasn’t an option, when I signed up, customer service comped the first month, for the $2.99 plan I chose and switched me to the free plan. So, I get the 50 free pages, for the first month. I’m going to use them to print some coloring book pages for Christmas. What’s funny is that I’ve only printed 2 pages, so far, and they have already sent me the next set of Instant Ink cartridges.

  7. AmyA

Thanks! Thatโ€™s a great price and it has great reviews.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Perfect! You’re so welcome!

  8. Kathy

I have this printer too and I also have the instanink. I love this printer when I need color print. I use a larger laser printer for most of my black and white copies.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you for sharing this, Kathy!

  9. MaK88

Thank you! I only have 3 things on my wish list this year and a black printer under $50 was one of them! Was banking on Kohls on weds but this is the same price and a better product i believe! TY!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Woohoo! Happy you could check one of the three off the list! You’re SO welcome!

  10. Colleen

I got this for my daughter to use at college. Her friends and her love it.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

That’s great to hear! Thanks, Colleen!

  11. Rae

I was thinking of buying this for an elderly relative. Will it work with their old windows so computer?

  12. ddmobile

Can this print from a Samsung tablet?

    • eadybakegirl

Yes any device that can be connected via Bluetooth. I use my iPhone

  13. dhcoupons

anyone buy the $24 protection plan? I feel like at this price just take your chance that it will continue working. thoughts?

    • paul

Actually, if you are considering buying the protection plan, you might as well just spend the extra $6 on a spare.

  14. Rachel

I wouldn’t buy the protection plan. Chances are you will be able to find another one for around the same price if that one stops working. I got a similar deal a few weeks ago. Probably wouldn’t be worth the hassle.

  15. lanadesetto

Does anyone know with this printer can you get your own ink instead of joining the printing program with HP?

  16. lanadesetto

Hi does anyone know with this printer can you get your own ink or has to enroll HP printing program for the printer to work?

  17. Perlis

Thank u so much! I bought one for me and thank u for the reviews. They helped me a lot. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿค—
