Would these double as “masks” for shopping or church etc during COVID? I don’t see why they couldn’t as they are similar to the ones a friend made me out of thirst material or a handkerchief. And might be cooler in summer weather.

I was at a nursery yesterday buying plants and it was only 65 but with a strong breeze and it was so hot to be in the sun with a face mask on. I felt bad for the employees with a long shift ahead of them.

I have something similar and I don’t find them to be super secure when have it just over my nose & mouth. For a quick stop, it’s ok.. a longer shopping trip has me trying not to adjust it etc. The higher it is on my face, think just under the eyes, the better it works. (I’ve not tried putting it over my head like the photo on the left, I’m wearing more like the guy on the right…) Bottom line, I don’t think I’d make it through an hour church service without touching my face.
