I bought this last week as a replacement for my 2nd gen Apple TV (circa 2010, incidentally, still in great condition, just updating to the newest technology). Could not believe how incredibly easy it was to set up. If you have another Apple device, iPhone, iPad, etc. with an active Apple account, the Bluetooth feature takes over and setup is a breeze much quicker and easier than the previous versions. The processor speed is very fast and you have access to countless apps through the Apple TV app store. You can stream much higher-quality pictures as well. And the new remote is so much easier to use. It has a trackpad, the touch surface makes it so easy to input information and search. And if you are a fan of Siri, it is a Siri remote. Glad I made the update to this new version of the Apple TV 4K.

First Costco has the best price hands down. So there’s that. Then Apple TV serves up all the content you want, plus you can stream ANYTHING from your iPhone to it, so it’s a win-win. I dropped my cable company, kept the internet, and got an antenna for my TVs. My bill went from $140 to $40 (in the Seattle area). Using Apple TV to fill in any gaps – so I get all the local channels on the antenna and everything else between Apple Tv and streaming.
