Costco is Offering Special Operating Hours for Seniors & Vulnerable Shoppers Starting July 26th
Costco is keeping their special shopping hours for seniors!
With COVID vaccinations on the rise, many stores have been eliminating or reducing their special shopping hours for seniors. And while earlier this month Costco had announced that they were going to discontinue their special operating hours, they have now reversed that decision!
Starting July 26th, Costco will be offering special operating hours at all Costco warehouses in the U.S. and Puerto Rico indefinitely.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9AM to 10AM, shoppers ages 60 and older, those with disabilities, and those who are immunocompromised, will have the chance to shop for all their needs in the safest environment possible while avoiding the crowds.
Costco members who are healthcare workers (which includes pharmacists and all hospital employees with a hospital ID) and first responders (police officers, EMTs and firefighters) may also enter the warehouse during these special operating hours.
For more information about Costco’s special operating hours and a list of excluded locations, check out their COVID Updates page here.
Thank you, Costco. Sadly, this pandemic is far from over, and given the number of people who still refuse to get vaccinated, it may not be for some time.
Only people I know that have caught Covid are the ones that are fully vaccinated, including my wife.
Opposite true for me.
It’s the opposite for me as well. We know a few people who got Covid while un-vaccinated, and they were all extremely sick, and one was hospitalized for several days. I do not know anyone who has gotten Covid after being vaccinated.
The only people I know who have died from Covid-19 were all UNvaccinated.
Very true and that’s what I know personally and tracking C19 for work. Unvaccinated very sick requiring hospital admissions. Fully vaccinated “mild” although one friend said they didn’t think they make it if hit with it while unvaccinated.
Do these hours include pregnant people.
I don’t find that listed, however you could call in to your location to be sure. Hope this helps!
I can’t imagine them turning you away!
Yes. I’ve been going every week – just be friendly about it and they’re very understanding.
