September could be your best time to buy a plane ticket or book a last-minute beach vacation.
Airlines tend to drop their prices with the hopes of increasing sales now that summer vacation months are over. If you want to satisfy your wanderlust AND save some money, look for airfare deals in September that you could redeem for a last-minute trip or book for a few months out. If heading to a nearby beach is an option, prices tend to drop significantly now that school is back in session and hosts are looking to keep their occupancy up.
