On a side note, this is totally not a sponsored post. We had to share as Rhodes frozen bread dough is not only an affordable way to enjoy a loaf of bread (hello $1 loaf!), but this dough makes it so easy to have fresh baked bread often. Even Stetson was impressed with his baking skills!
How to bake a loaf of Rhodes frozen bread dough:
Ready to fill your home with the wonderful smell of fresh-baked bread? Luckily, Rhodes frozen bread dough practically makes itself! All you’ll need is a bread pan and an empty belly to enjoy the warm and crispy goodness at home.
Best tips for making Rhodes Bake-N-Serv Bread:
- When buying, check the closure tab for ‘best by’ date. Try to get a dough with a ‘best by’ date at least 8-9 months out.
- Make sure loaves are separate and not stuck together. Also, make sure there are not a lot of ice crystals in the bag.
- Be sure to use the proper size loaf pan (1 pound). A 1-pound pan measures 8.5″ X 4.5″ X 2.5″.

Who knew this freshness could come from something frozen!
Grab some butter and smother it all over a slice of warm and fluffy bread! YUM! The texture is soft, yet crispy—just what you want in a loaf of fresh bread!
Rhodes Bake-N-Serve bread dough tastes exceptional by itself, but it’ll also go beautifully with some tasty baked spaghetti or slow-cooker veggie lasagna. Excuse me while I go clean the drool off my face. 🤤
Love bread? Get a load of this Cinnamon Apple Monkey Bread (only 5 ingredients)!
So trying this! I have never noticed it but the locator says it’s at my store 😊 Thanks for the helpful tips too!
You’ll love it! Thanks Melanie!
I’ve been buying this for years. The also have frozen rolls and the directions for them are the same. The speed method cuts the time in half. You can’t make bread from scratch that taste any better so why bother. I have people ask me for my recipe all the time. I keep several bags of them in the freezer at all times.
Yes I stock my freezer with the rolls too! So convenient and GOOD. 👏💕
We always had this at home so easy and super good I couldn’t find it a week ago when I was looking but I’ll try again.
Hope you find some soon Leane!
Only the yeast rolls are available in my area. Has anyone tried those?
They are delicious! I buy them for holidays.
This was the only homemade bread I had growing up. They make wonderful cinnamon rolls also.
Yes I agree!
People thought I would slave for hours making Cinnamon Rolls. Haven’t made them for a while, think I will buy some dough on my next shopping trip.
I use this dough to make homemade pizzas too!
Oh that’s smart!
We’ve loved this bread for years! For family and friends gatherings in often asked to bring my “homemade bread”!
Yes same! And the rolls too. 👏
My Walmart only has the rolls. I would love the loaf bread!
I enjoy them both! Hope you can find some soon 💕
I’ve purchased this in the past and liked it. I need to be better about keeping track of what’s on the counter because when I need it right away I just end up buying whatever the store has on sale. I’ll buy more soon. Thanks.
Agree! So good!! PS- Kroger has a generic brand that’s even cheaper and tastes just as good!
Oh that’s fun to know! Thanks for sharing 🤗
I use the frozen roll dough for pepperoni rolls. Just follow package directions for rising, then flatten in your hand, add 3-4 overlapped pepperoni. Roll it up, pinch together and bake as package suggests or until golden brown. Can also add cheese inside and/or, spray tops with butter spray and sprinkle everything but the bagel seasoning in tops before baking. I have used these in kids’ lunches, at tailgate parties, etc…
Thanks for sharing Tori! That sounds yummy
Where we live they are called pepperoni balls. Yum!!! Most people haven’t heard of these but everyone around here loves them.
We buy the rolls and put two frozen doughballs in each muffin tin (directions on back of package) to make really big rolls. Always a hit for big gatherings or just our family and they rewarm very well (few seconds in the microwave). I highly recommend!
I make the sam kind. If I didn’t make them for Thanksgiving my great grandson probably wouldn’t let me in.
Good tip about checking the expiration date. When they are in the freezer too long, the resulting loaf or rolls do not rise as high.
I love Stetson! He is a great product spokesman. Such a ham! 😀
I agree- he’s fun!
I also use the bread dough to make cinnamon rolls. Basically roll out the dough, spread melted butter on it, sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar. Roll the dough back up, cut them in to rolls, let them rise (I put them in the fridge overnight), and bake them. So easy and delicious!
Yes! I do that also and they rock. Thanks for sharing!

DANGIT!! Why have you revealed my secret? This stuff was hard enough to find (especially around March/April). Now all the Hip2Savers will buy it up everywhere!
Just kidding – not mad. This stuff is great! I learned this from my Momma. Also look for same type of product from Bridgford (the company who makes Monkey Bread)
Thank you very much Hip2Save Team for this special and awesome post! Baked Bread is one of my favorite comfort foods to enjoy! I am excited to try this bread! You made my day!!
We use the rolls for mini pizzas for school lunches! Hormel sells mini pepperoni too.
Dus off those bread machines hidden away and bread is even quicker to make along with being even cheaper and tasting better than frozen dough. We can make fresh bread in two and a half hours start to finish.
Which ones are best? The dinner roles, Texas rolls or the white dinner rolls?
These frozen loafs of bread make make great sticky buns. My mom made them on Christmas morning.
Bread is so good, the longest I have waited for it to cool was 30 min and while I was cutting it, it smashes down even if on its side and does not hold shape. Next time I will have to leave the house so I won’t touch it before it completely cools, then i might get an actual slice. Smashed or not, this is delicious!
Same here, he just can’t wait. I recently got an electric knife. We’ll see how this goes lol.
Good idea. & Stetson as ‘the chef’ always funny,a natural talent.
Thanks so much for the kind comment! I’ll be sure to pass this along to Stetson!
OH MY GOODNESS! Thanks so much for the Rhodes Shout out! We are beyond excited to see this post! On behalf of everyone from Rhodes THANK YOU!

Bought rhodes buns
Wanted to make pizza rolls in AM. My husband said to put them in refrigerator and that they wo u ld not thaw. Well, they thawed and all together. Can I still make the rolls or will they not turn out.
Do you think I could use this to make foccacia bread?
How can I prevent the top of loaf peeling back when baking in oven ? I have tried different ways to let loaf raise before baking, but it peels from the side every time!
How can I make dinner rolls from a thawed frozen. Loaf of Rhoades bread?
Hey there! If fully thawed, I would divide into equal sections of “roll” amounts. Then let them sit in a baking dish in a warm place lightly covered for a bit to potentially rise up some. I’ve used a muffin tin for this before. Then uncover and bake at around 350 degrees until the tops are toasted. Hoping that is helpful!
We love these loaves. But how do you slice it? We would like it for sandwiches.
Thx
Hey Debbie! You can slice these with a bread knife or a bread slicer. Hope that helps! ❤️
I hope to find it for a recipe you make in a Bundt cake pan. Place two rolls in a sprayed by pundit pan and cook at 400 until done and golden . Let cool, then slice lengthwise. Put mustard, thin roast beef,, thin ham, thin Turkey and provolone and Monterey Jack slices, a few tomatoe slices and lettuce. Slice like a cake for great sandwiches.
That sounds like this one, MargoD: https://rhodesbakenserv.com/sandwich-in-the-round/
I am definitely going to have to try this too. It sounds easy and delicious!
