Hey Kristen! My bed is not a platform bed, so I linked to the boxspring I have on my bed. However, if you have a platform bed, you’re correct, you shouldn’t need a box spring at all!

We bought a 12″ for our guest bedroom and have received lots of compliments. I would buy again. My sister bought an 8″ and wasn’t as happy.
We have had our king zinus for around 3 years and love it!! Anytime we go out of town, I am always disappointed with the mattresses where we stay.
We bought one of these for our daughter’s bed. We are happy with it!!
We’ve had ours for about 2 or 3 years now and still loving it. It still looks brand new bc we put a water proof cover on it, so nothing has spilled on it. Great mattress.
We’ve done several of the bed in a box sleep trials where you can sleep for 100-365 nights and then return. Zinus was by far our favorite and the most affordable. It was the first and I wish we had kept it, but then we tried the Leesa and Nectar. They both are more expensive and haven’t been as good as the Zinus in my opinion.

We just purchased a Nectar in August and it is already sagging in the spots were we sleep. I have contacted customer service for a refund unbelievable fir what we spend. We had a memory foam from amazon before (can’t remember the brand) that lasted us 8 years.. We are splurging now and buying a sleep number..
Make sure to try the Sleep Number before buying. My mom had one and gave it away because she didn’t like it. I didn’t like it either.
Hated my very expensive sleep number and very happy with my zinus I’ve had for the last two years. No sagging at all!
We recently bought the Nectar mattress and are planning to return it as it’s more firm then we hoped. Can anyone speak to how firm or plush and comfortable this mattress is?
Get a Zinus frame too. They’re very well made. I bought two different queen size metal frames with wood slats for my older teens. No need for a boxspring. Check prices on Amazon, Target, and Walmart since they all carry the brand. I got free shipping from Target and Walmart. One is 10″ tall and one is 14″ tall so you can slide storage boxes under them (lots of toy storage for kids. Shoes and out of season clothing for adults). Warning: If you have a headboard, make sure you can attach it to the frame you pick. Some frames don’t have holes drilled for headboards. We had to hang the headboard on the wall.
We have had our Tuft and Needle mattress for a few years now and really like it. Didn’t like the Casper or the Leesa when we tested them in a store.
I am thinking about purchasing this for my college college kid for her apartment. However, she does not have access to her apartment until mid August. I read that you should unbox the mattress within 3 days of receiving it. Has anyone gone a month with leaving it in the box? Any issues?
Also, I have this bed in our spare room and love it (unpacked it the first day though).
Hey Laura! I spoke with customer service on this. Here’s their answer – “Leaving the mattress in a compressed state (in the box) for an extended time may affect the quality of the product as this may not allow the mattress to fully expand so it is not advisable to do so.” Hoping this is helpful! 🥰
