   My daughters have been wanting new Chromebooks and their only requirement was a touch screen. I was able to snag 2 at a bargain price of $129 each on this sale. Plus 4% cash back from Rakuten on Chromebooks. Score!

   Hi! Me again. Here to tell you that, even though it is labeled as such, that HP “gaming” laptop is not a gaming laptop. And if you feel like you are getting a deal there then I promise you that you truly are not. It’s not worth the money even at the sale price. 1st, it’s HP, which is well known for endless ‘bloat Ware’ and no gamer wants a machine bogged down with bloat ware tasks. 2nd. That graphics card is very very old and if you look it up it will tell you that at most it will be able to play indie level small games. It will not be able to handle your big name games at a mid level or high level of performance. It also only has 8gb RAM, so you’ll immediately have to buy more and upgrade this part. The process is “fine” but it’s Ryzen and it won’t last you long. Don’t take my word for it, go ahead and enter the big 3 into PC benchmark website and rate it against the game you want to play. The graphics card is so outdated you won’t find it. But you can manually look it up and find it’s a poor performer. You’ll also find that the rest of the machine comes in at a whopping 20 to 40% performance rating for any of the common games right now. It’s nothing more than a word processor. Use your phone for that.

   The gigabyte one for 799 will get you much for the price and last you longer. At a quick glance. And if you are willing to up it some they have some fantastic ones marked down in the 1000 range. Use the pcbenchmark website to check your laptop for gaming first. Don’t trust that it’s called a gaming PC.
