With these inserts, you can make two appetizers at once or your main entrée and side all at the same time. Unlike using slow cooker liners or aluminum foil, these Crock Pockets can be used more than once and your food won’t accidentally get mixed together!

But why do they have to be so expensive?! Depending on the size and brand, you may find that you’d pay more for the Crock Pockets than you would for an entire new CrockPot! 😱 But, if you have been wanting to try them (or already love them and want to gift them!), we were happy to see they are on sale.

Let us know in the comments below – would you use these, and do you think they’re worth the price tag, even on sale?

You can have one side of your slow cooker making meatballs and the other side keeping buffalo chicken dip warm!

While the Crock Pockets do have great reviews, there’s a more frugal option to try…

If you don’t own more than one slow cooker – no worries! This life-changing Crock-Pot hack from Reynold’s Kitchens uses aluminum foil and slow cooker liners to create a divider inside your slow cooker. Our recipe creator Lina tried this out and confirms it works great! How genius! 🧠

I have a crockpot that came with dividers and over ten plus years I have not used them once. They are just too small.

    • Jessica (Hip' Sidekick)

Thank you for sharing your experience with your dividers with us Lana!

You can make dividers with foil, there’s no reason to buy any sort of insert unless it’s something you’ll use a bunch

    • Jessica (Hip' Sidekick)

Thanks for the tip on using foil, AtomicPenny!

  3. Amber

You can also do the same with crockpot liner bags

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Awesome! Thanks, Amber! I’ll have to remember that! 🥰

  4. Evelyn Doody

No, I’d love to use them but I would never pay that much for them.

I have and love them. Yes, you can divide with crockpot liners, but I prefer not to cook in plastic and feel much more comfortable with the silicone pockets. Also, sometimes, when I make a small batch recipe in my large-ish crock pot, I just use one crock pocket to make my big crock pot into a smaller one.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Such a clever idea to use these pockets to whip up smaller batches of food in your crockpot, embee. 🙌 Thanks for sharing your thoughts and letting us know you prefer to use these. 💕

Has anyone had problems with the disposable liners leaking? I took them camping once to reheat taco meat and avoid dishes. When I went to throw it away there was some liquid that seeped through and ended up charring on the bottom of the crock

My sister uses these and when they heat up the plastic smell is terrible. Makes me really nervous to use with food.
