When my wife ordered this I was a bit confused. We have cutting boards and we have serving plates; I wasn’t quite clear on why we needed this thing.
I have to say, though, she was right and I was wrong. It’s actually strangely enjoyable putting the little crackers on their corner of the cutting board, the cubes of cheese on their little corner, etc. It’s made of very solid wood and it has a nice weight to it. Very sturdy and solid.
This is not something that I personally would have chosen, but now that we have it I’m kind of glad we do. And, for the price, I think it’s very nicely made, good materials.
I like the engraved colored drawings on the board. It gives you an idea of arranging the snacks to make them more appealing to whomever you present them to. I like that it is natural bamboo, which is durable and renewable. Furthermore, you can use either side, so it is versatile. I like the added touch of recessed handles. Some of my boards need them, making carrying them difficult to the tables. It is easy to hand wash.
Tip: Read the instructions if you want a long-lasting board. You can even search through YouTube on how to care for bamboo boards. Only a few people know how to care for their wood-cutting boards.
This item is giftable, especially if your friends and family like to entertain.
