Watch Gone with the Wind in Select Theaters on 1/22 & 1/25
Frankly, my dear, I’d like to head to the movies!
On January 22nd and 25th, head to your local theater where you may be able to watch Gone with the Wind on the big screen!
Note that only select theaters will be offering showings of this classic movie, you can see if your local theater is participating here.
This epic romance follows the love story of Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler and is set in the south during the American Civil War and the period right after. It’s the highest-grossing film of all time when adjusted for inflation AND it won a whopping 10 Academy Awards!

I’m so disappointed that none of the theaters are near me. I would like to have seen Gone With the Wind and Pillow Talk (next month) on the big screen. I’ve seen To Kill a Mocking Bird (first time) and Casablanca on the big screen so much better than a TV screen.
This movie didn’t age well at all with its sympathy for the Confederacy.
Yeahhh. Probably not in the best taste to view it purely for entertainment or nostalgia. Definitely requires a critical eye and some conversation afterward.
Totally agree. I plan to one day watch it with my kids, but there’s definitely lots to reflect on and discuss. Interesting that it’s such a “classic.”
I’d love to see it again.
