In June of 2020, Sam’s Club announced that they would be offering free curbside pickup for all members to help reduce contact during the Covid-19 pandemic.
If you’ve been loving that limited-time perk, we have some sad news for you. Sam’s Club has announced that starting June 28th, they are ending free curbside pickup for basic Sam’s Club members. 😟 Sam’s Club curbside pickup will still be free to Plus members, however.
If you’re not a Plus member, be sure to check your inbox for an email from Sam’s Club announcing this change, as some of our team members also received an offer to upgrade to a Plus membership for only $10. Paying an extra $10 for the convenience of never getting out of your car? That sounds pretty sweet!
In addition to free Sam’s Club curbside pickup, your extra $10 also provides you with 2% cashback on qualifying purchases, free shipping, and early shopping, among other sweet Sam’s Club Plus member benefits.
If you don’t want to upgrade to a Plus membership, you can still choose curbside pickup when you pay the $4 pickup fee. If you’re like me and love perusing the aisles (and usually don’t know what you want to buy before you get to the store) instead of doing curbside, then all you need is a Sam’s Club Basic membership!
