Taco Bell Mexican Pizza to Return w/ Possible New Varieties
Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza returned to restaurants in September 2022, and now they may be introducing 2 new varieties!
Not only is this popular restaurant menu item back, but it may be expanding, too!
After nearly two years of asking, “When is the Mexican Pizza coming back?” Taco Bell finally returned it to menus nationwide in September of 2022. Even better, Taco Bell’s CEO reassured hungry fans that it will be a permanent item on the chain’s menu from now on!
Not only that, but Taco Bell is demonstrating more commitment than ever to its Mexican Pizza, by giving it a chance to occupy even more space on the restaurant’s menu!
According to CNN, the restaurant has been testing two new varieties of its Mexican Pizza in select metro areas.
In Oklahoma City, OK, Taco Bell is testing a Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican Pizza that is said to be “cheesier and spicier” than the original. This new version is topped with nacho cheese sauce and spicy jalapeño slices and is priced between $4.99 and $5.49.
In Omaha, Nebraska, customers can order a Triple Crunch Mexican Pizza, which has three layers instead of the usual two. This version of the Mexican Pizza has twice the beans and beef of the original, and it’s currently selling for $5.99.
The classic Taco Bell Mexican Pizzas returned in their original form with beans, pizza sauce, seasoned beef, tomatoes, and melted cheese layered between two crispy flour shells. Even vegetarians can enjoy this menu item, as Taco Bell makes it easy to customize any entrée to omit meat!
Taco Bell also recently announced a new sustainability practice!
This initiative includes a sauce packet recycling program with the help of TerraCycle. This supports their commitment to having all recyclable, compostable, or reusable packaging by 2025. We do love those Taco Bell sauces, so how amazing would it be for the packaging to not harm the planet?
Are you as excited about the possibility of new Mexican Pizzas as we are?! Let us know!
