We’re back with more exciting behind-the-scenes at Hip!

We’re continuing our super fun off-the-clock Hip series and giving you all a sneak peek into our lives behind the scenes every month!

Each month, we share Hip deals our team has personally scored, something we’re doing, or something we’re currently reading! And as always, thanks for being here, Hipsters! ❤️

Here’s what our team has been up to in July:

Emily took a mini vacation and saved on her groceries big time thanks to a hack she shared.

Emily enjoyed a long weekend getaway and spent lots of time relaxing on her Funboy lookalike pool float! However, what was most notable about her trip was how much she saved on groceries! After learning that groceries were about 3 to 4 times the cost of what she spends at home, she and her fiance were able to stock up on everything they needed at Walmart before their trip. She said they saved a couple of hundred bucks and didn’t have to spend any vaca time shopping which was a huge bonus too!

Nicole saved on groceries with a totally genius delivery hack on her recent vacation.

Nicole and her family took a week’s vacation in southern Maine and split an Airbnb with her brother and sister-in-law. She said it was definitely the most cost-effective way to go with all 10 of them. It had a full kitchen so they were able to cook all of their meals and they packed food for when they were out. She even shared a genius hack that you can order from Sam’s Club and Costco through delivery services like Instacart and Doordash without a club membership! 😱 She said it definitely helped stock the fridge for less than doing all our shopping at the local grocery store. 🙌🏼

Fun Fact: Nicole even shared how much fun they had hitting the outlets, but that we post way better deals daily on Hip! 😉

Erica saved on their family getaway thanks to her military benefits.

Erica said she and her husband couldn’t resist some hot Memorial Day sales and took a little family getaway to a waterpark resort less than 2 hours from home. Since the place had a fridge and oven, they brought along a Costco-prepared meal every night for dinner so they didn’t have to spend money dining out.

Even better, they saved $60 on parking by simply asking the hotel if they give military discounts. She said this was a great reminder to always ask for additional discounts or waived fees if you are military as they don’t always advertise them, but many times are willing to dish them out. See…it pays to bring your hubby on vacay! 😉

Here’s some deals our team scored this month:

Alli found some of Collin’s favorite Walmart overalls for just $13.

Alli said she was always super jealous of Collin’s cute styles over on LTK. In fact, she’s been keeping her eyes on these overalls in particular and was waiting for them to go on sale. Sure enough, she found them in her local Walmart for only $13 and she absolutely loves them! If you’re looking for your sign to grab a cute pair of overalls, this is it!

Hip Tip: Always check your local store for unexpected savings!

I bought a bunch of these slippers for my bridesmaids’ gifts.

Evshine Cross Band Fuzzy Slippers – $11.98+ (regularly $26.99)

There was no shortage of amazing Amazon Prime Day deals this year, but this is one you can still score for a super-low price! On Prime Day, I scooped up a bunch of these cute slippers for my bridesmaid gifts and I’m even happier with the quality of them in person! They’re soft and comfortable so if you’re in need of a new pair, grab these ASAP!

Chelsey grabbed what became her most worn wardrobe piece.

Carve Designs Bonfire Jumpsuit $98
Use your unique $15 off $70 promo code
Final cost $83.30!

*As another option, you could use promo code 45650-Hip2SaveFREESHIP to pay just $99 shipped but note that these codes do NOT stack. Or, add just one more item to your purchase and you’ll score free shipping on $99+!

We didn’t think Chelsey could get any more adorable until we saw this cute outfit she shared! Although it’s still a bit of a splurge on sale, she shared why it’s completely worth the price:

While a little on the pricey side, this Carve Designs Bonfire Jumpsuit is currently ranking as my #1 most loved item in my closet, so trust me, you won’t regret it! 😍 This flattering jumpsuit is made with 55% linen and 45% Tencel. Even in the scorching AZ summer right now, I can’t stop wearing it – it’s the perfect lightweight texture!

Plus, the buttons and tie front details are SO CUTE and it has washed very well several times, without shrinking – I just line dry. This loose, baggy jumpsuit/ romper style is so trendy right now and IMO this one checks off all the boxes! – Hip Sidekick, Chelsey

Hip Tip: Check out more deals you can score from Carve including shoes for under $10 shipped! 🤩

Here’s a couple of books our team read this month:

Alli read The Vanishing Hour which had mixed reviews but she ended up loving it.

The Vanishing Hour – $14.24

Alli said this was a total “judged the book by its cover” moment and despite mixed reviews, she really loved it! She said she was honestly surprised overall about what was going on in the story. It was a quick read that she would suggest to anyone who likes thriller books!

Alli also read The Great Alone and said it was the best coming of age book she’s ever read.

The Great Alone – $14.32

According to our reading enthusiast, Alli, she said this book was SO GOOD! In fact, she declared it the best “coming of age” book she’s ever read. It’s set in the 70s, but she said it doesn’t give off historical fiction vibes whatsoever if that’s not your jam. The story follows Leni and her family as they move to remote Alaska and although it may sound “meh”, Alli said it’s anything but! She can’t emphasize it enough — read this book!

Well, Hip2Savers, on that note, we’re going to get back to bringing you all the best deals.

We’ll bring back more exciting news later this summer! ☀️
