If there’s one thing I can’t stand doing every week, it’s grocery shopping. Our family of 5 eats mostly organic and whole foods so I’m always running to multiple stores to gather everything on our weekly meal plan list. It’s a vicious, never-ending cycle. Anyone else feel my pain? 😟

Needless to say, I’m really feeling the pinch of food and gas inflation these days. 😣

I was initially drawn to Thrive Market because it’s a one-stop shop and they offer wholesale prices. Even on the best organic brands…delivered right to your door. 🤩

So, what is Thrive Market?

They’re a membership-based online grocery store that offers grocery and home care products. Thrive Market is a delivery service that is on a mission to make healthy living easy and affordable for everyone! Every product meets rigorous standards for quality, sustainability, and affordability so you can guarantee you’re getting only the best at the best prices for your family.

Eating healthy can feel really hard, but Thrive Market makes it worth it….and they make it easy and more affordable.

You’re really going to appreciate Thrive Market’s commitment to the planet too – if you’re eco-conscious like me.

In fact, they’re building the WORLD’S FIRST climate-positive grocery store and are already carbon neutral. Even better, by 2025 they’re expected to be carbon NEGATIVE! 😍 Have you ever heard of such a thing with any other online store?! 😱🤯

Their warehouses are TRUE Certified for Zero Waste, which means they reduce, reuse, or recycle materials and divert at least 90% of solid waste away from landfills. They also match 100% of their facilities’ electricity use with renewable energy certificates and are close to offsetting all plastic shipping materials in member orders to reach plastic-neutral shipping.

How does Thrive Market work?

Thrive Market memberships are just $59.95 annually ($5/month) or you can choose to pay monthly at $12/month. Both plans get you full access to Thrive Market’s features and deals. Plus you can easily cancel your membership at any time and if you opt for Autoships you can easily skip those too.

You probably pay way more per month on TV services…so why not spend just a few dollars to better your lifestyle too? 💁🏼‍♀️ And you’ll better someone else’s too because every annual Thrive Market membership sponsors a FREE  membership for a family in need. 🥰

Even better, if you’re a student, teacher, veteran, nurse, first responder, or a family in need you could get your Thrive Market membership FREE! 😱

It doesn’t get any sweeter than that. 🤩 If eligible, you be able to say bye-bye to the membership fee and get straight to the savings. Head on over to the Thrive Gives page to apply.

Does Thrive Market accept EBT?

At this time Thrive is unable to accept EBT, but they are continuing to explore adding the option for members in the near future. However, recipients of SNAP benefits may qualify for a free one-year Thrive Gives membership.

Shopping with Thrive Market online couldn’t be easier!

Thrive Market makes it easy to shop for values that are aligned with your lifestyle preferences and/or dietary needs.

I am gluten-free and have many other lifestyle preferences such as nixing dyes, preservatives, and non-organic foods (among other things) so they take the guesswork out of grocery shopping! It also means I save SO MUCH time since I don’t have to read every single ingredient label in a store while my kiddos run around. 😬 All of my deliveries have arrived fast and right on time too! 👏🏻

We’ve discovered so many new and exciting foods since joining Thrive Market too! We’re lucky enough to have a good variety of stores to shop for foods, but it doesn’t even compare to the 6,000+ organic and non-GMO products Thrive Market carries. 🤩 It has made grocery shopping painless and dare I say…FUN! 🤩

On top of that, they have an amazing selection of snacks, supplements, eco-friendly cleaning supplies, non-toxic beauty items, personal care items, organic kid’s products, wine, meat and seafood, frozen veggies, and MORE. 😱 Plus, they carry many brands you likely already know and love like Mrs. Meyers, Seventh Generation, and more!

price comparison between giant and simple mills soft baked bars

On average, Thrive Market members save an average of $32 on every order.

I’ve consistently seen lower prices at Thrive Market when compared to local grocers. Above is an example of my family’s favorite snack bars that cost $5.99 at the Giant down the street. With Thrive, they are just $5.49 with a membership and will ship carbon-neutral for FREE. What’s more…they drop to $5.22 if you have them on Autoship!

Plus, if you have an annual membership and you don’t make back your annual membership fee in savings, they’ll give you store credit (aka Thrive Cash) for the difference when your annual membership renews – no questions asked. 🙌🏼

Thrive Market even guarantees their prices and will refund your money if you overpay. 🤯

If you find an exact item cheaper at your local store or even online, you’ll get a refund! All you have to do is fill out a quick form explaining the items, the prices, and order numbers. The only catch is that you do have to buy the item from Thrive in order for them to price match.

Above is an example of the items I submitted a refund for which was a $5.11 savings! (P.S…This is the best jerky if you’re in the market 😉 and I was so thrilled Thrive Market had it!)

I couldn’t wait to share my Thrive Market review with you all because it’s been a game-changer for me and my family! Now’s the time to start your membership if you’ve been thinking about making this switch in your home! From the amazing products to the prices, and even the eco-friendly shipping…there isn’t a single thing you won’t feel good about!

I don’t know. I am on the fence about paying a store to shop there. We buy organic whenever we can but we don’t have any other allergies or anything.

    • tpop

I don’t have allergies or even buy organic specifically, but I still think my Thrive subscription is worth it. I love the delivery which is cheaper and more consistent than other services. Customer service is top notch, they have immediately refunded any product I’ve had an issue with (package damaged, etc.). There is almost always a free gift, sometimes very generous, with purchase. I almost always use the subscribe function, even if I then delete the item after one delivery – it’s very easy. Also, their brand products are very high quality. I haven’t ever ordered the frozen food or tried the price match, so I can’t speak to that. Originally, I was questioning the membership fee, but I feel that I save that much so it evens out for me.

      • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

That is so wonderful to hear, tpop! Thanks for sharing your Thrive experience with us!

    • Ashley

I have to agree. I’ve been using thrive for years. I don’t buy a ton but always wait for an email for a free item. They come all the time. I just put the items in my cart and they sit and wait for either a discount or free item. The packaging is always great and shipping is usually only a couple of days.

      • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

That’s so wonderful, Ashley! And I didn’t know about the free item, I’ll have to keep an eye out for that email! Thanks so much for sharing. 🤗

    • Sara (Hip Sidekick)

If you give it a try, you’ll have to let us know how you like it, Patricia! 🤗

      • Patricia Goff

Do you have to order every month? What if you don’t need anything? Is it a subscription like the food plans?

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Great question! You don’t have to order unless you want to. You can “edit items, skip or pause Autoship, or place one-time orders anytime.” 💕

  2. Jen2020

I wanted to try Thrive Market but unfortunately can’t see the prices unless I pay membership fees.
They had the Primal Kitchen buffalo sauce and ranch as a free gift valued at $16 which seems high to me because Costco sells 2 packs of the buffalo sauce for $10. Not willing to pay for a membership without knowing what selection of foods and prices they have to offer. Any idea if they can beat Costco prices and Amazon subscriptions for Organics (like z bars, seeds of change pouches etc)? Price comparison would be really helpful.

    • Trish (Hip Sidekick)

Hey there, Jen2020! I can understand wanting to be able to compare prices before paying a membership fee. Thank you so much for the request! I will pass this along to the team to see if we can do some price comparisons for you. 🤗 ❤️

      • Jen2020

Thank you so much! That would be so helpful. Costco has many Organic and natural options and it would definitely help to compare prices.

    • tpop

I checked on the buffalo sauce for you at Thrive:

      Thrive price $7.19
      “Retail price $7.99”
      Auto-ship (10% off) $6.47
Buy 4 get 5% Thrive Cash (this comes off your next order)

Currently, Z-Bar variety 24 pack is $20.99 (authorship 5% off). They do not currently sell Seeds of Change but have several comparable brands/items.

      p.s. I don’t have any connection – I’m just bored today…

      • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for checking on the price of that item, tpop! We sure appreciate it! 🥰

  3. Carrie Fox

Can you tell me more about free membership for first responders? I don’t see anything on their website

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Carrie! Thrive Market offers a Thrives Gives membership for qualifying accounts. Here’s some more info on this for you – “Thrive Gives is one of the ways we aim to make healthy living easy and affordable to everyone. Every annual membership sponsors a one-year membership for a teacher, student, veteran, nurse, first responder or family in financial need. If you’re a family in financial need—including students, teachers, veterans, nurses, and first responders—you qualify for a free one-year membership through Thrive Gives. With it, you’ll get access to member-only benefits from Thrive Market!

You can learn more & submit an application for a free one-year membership here.” Hoping this is helpful! ❤️

  4. Katherine

Can you do the best sale items to buy on Thrive Market like you do with other stores regularly? I like Thrive Market, but the way they price things, it’s hard to tell if I am getting a good deal or not.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the request, Katherine!🤗 I’ll be sure to pass this along to the team! 💕

  5. Patricia Goff

I also do not like not being able to see the prices.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be sure to pass this along and check on how you might be able to browse the prices. 💕

  6. Patricia Goff

I am going to try it once but prices look high to me. I am sure that I will regret it. I don’t mind shopping in stores. I shop on my way home after work so it is quick and easy and usually cheaper with coupons, ibotta, fetch, etc.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for commenting. Glad to hear you’ll be giving it a try! Hope you love it! 🤗❤️
