Here are the reasons why you may need a microfiber hair towel wrap in your life:

  • It’s made of microfiber material so it’s extremely absorbent & fast drying.
  • Cuts down on the amount of time needed to use a hairdryer which ultimately is better for your hair.
  • Small enough to pack and take with you on the go to the gym or vacation.
  • It’s lightweight and much more comfortable to have on your head as opposed to a huge bath towel.
  • You can get dressed while you’re wearing it.

  • Easy to use and comes with a button at the bottom so your towel stays in place.
  • Contributes to less frizz and healthier hair with its soft material and less drying time needed.
  • They’re super affordable because the ones we love are under $8 for a 3-PACK!
  • And they’re even kid-friendly!

Angie on our team (and her hubby! 😉) wanted to know what all the fuss was about too…

“I had purchased a microfiber hair towel one other time and was really not happy with the way it washed up or worked. Needless to say, I was a little skeptical when purchasing this one, but since Bryn had sung the praises, I thought it was definitely worth a shot.

This hair towel is so incredibly soft. I was actually worried that it was too soft and wouldn’t do the job. However, I totally love it. It stayed put on my head and did a fantastic job of wringing out my hair. I also love the button on the back to hold it in place – it works really well and is easy to hook, too.

Can you tell my hubby is a fan as well?! Haha!” – Angie, Hip2Save team

After I saw the reviews, I knew I had to give them a try!

I really love that I can get ready while I’m wearing this hair wrap and the fact they’re so absorbent means I’m spending way less time drying my hair and getting ready. Plus, they’re really lightweight, so it doesn’t even feel like you’re wearing it and my neck isn’t sore like it typically would be from a heavy towel.

As a bonus, I’m not dirtying up extra towels when I need one for my hair which saves on laundry – I just grab this thing and it0 does the trick and is about a fifth of the size!

It’s also super fun because my six-year-old daughter wants to do all the things I’m doing so the fact this pack comes with a couple of extras means we can twin all morning long. 👯‍♂️

How did we all live without these before?! 😍

Interesting, I am going to take your word for it and try one. I’m always looking for things to make morning routines easier. Thanks for the tip!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay! You’re so welcome, Rachel! Hope you love it too!

I have been using these for over 15 years. I was able to purchase them before they started coming out in microfiber. I prefer the actual cotton towel feel and wasn’t really a fan of the microfiber. I even contemplated using old towels to make new ones but just didn’t feel like sewing them even though the template is so simple.

Ageee. I really do not like the microfiber ones at all. Won’t use microfiber cleaning cloths either. I can’t even find the old kind so I’m using some really old ones that are falling apart. Guess I finally better learn to sew.

      • Amber

There’s some templates you can find online. Then you only need one loop of elastic, or a loop of elastic and a button.

Oh my goodness, I’ve been looking for a cotton one too and I can’t believe I never thought to make one! I’ve recurved a couple microfiber hair towels as gifts and I like the idea but can’t stand the feeling of microfiber. It is a simple template though, and I have plenty of thinner towels that would be perfect for this. Thanks for the idea!

I didn’t know cotton ones existed til my stylist told me she bought them on QVC. I hate microfiber! I ordered a five pack of cotton Turbie Twists for somewhere around $20 this past Christmas.

    • Maria

Also a microfiber hater here. Great for cleaning stainless steel, but I hate the feel on my hands and skin. Also not great for the environment since when you wash it microplastics are shed. I think you can get this guppy thing to catch them but eh. Trying to just phase them out.

I LOVE my hair towels! I buy them at TJMaxx, well used to and will again, the 2 packs. I use mine every day. When I wash my hair, when I shower and don’t wash my hair to keep it dry. Keeps hair out of your face when doing make up. I also use mine when deep conditioning, the plastic hair bonnet things don’t stay on, but use my hair towel and it stays put. I travel, used to, for a living and as minimal as I pack I almost always pack a hair towel with me.

Must just be me, but mine makes my hair so knotted up it’s unreal.

    • Gramma C

That’s weird. You’re hair is just sitting there lol

    • Katie

Same for me. I don’t care for these either. I’ve used many different ones and they are always a disaster.

No I bet you have fine or long hair. Put fine and longer hair together and it will be a painful knotted mess. It’s not just you.

They have super cheap ones at the dollar tree. I use these in the shower, instead of a shower cap, on days that I don’t wash my hair. Works better than a shower cap IMO.

This is the one I’ve used for a long time–love it. NOT SYNTHETIC MICROFIBER – Our Anti Frizz Premium 100% All Natural Cotton Hair Towel is super smooth which reduces friction causing frizz. Unlike Microfiber Stays soft with repeated use and washes, like a t-shirt – yet is absorbent and large to safely dry hair without damage. I copied that first paragraph from the description on amazon

        Thanks, Tara!

I have a turbie twist and I really don’t think it’s that great.

  8. TJay

I use these and I have a lot of hair! I love that they keep my hair up and I can put on my make up! they dry my hair very well , but mostly because they barely take up space in the wash !!!

  9. Lolie

Hair towels are awesome! Better than a bulky towel. I prefer the cotton ones but I think everyone should at least try them once. I think you will be hooked. Definitely a great product worth recommending in my opinion.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback, Lolie! So glad to hear you love your hair towels! 🥰

  10. Lisa

I use this when I wash my hair in the evening and put it with the button by my forehead and then my hair is mostly dry in the morning.

  11. Dgal

Microfiber is much better at controlling frizz.

  12. Lpmousse

My daughter and I use these all the time. I have so many pictures her in the evening reading books with her hair towel on.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

So great to hear that you love these towels, Lpmousse! I bet those are some treasured pictures! 🥰
