Looking for a practical gadget for your home?
Let’s face it. Cleaning out the hair and gunk from a clogged drain is not fun. 🤮 Instead of telling the long-haired culprits in your house to stop letting their hair strands slither down the shower drain, consider getting a TubShroom! It catches every single hair, every single time you shower!
Even better, Walmart.com is offering the Stainless Steel TubShroom Ultra for just $3.96 (regularly $13.97)!
This version even includes two drain adapters to fit both large and smaller drains. Plus, the stainless steel is even easier to clean than before!
Looking for the original version? Score this Amazon Lightning Deal for just $10.36 with thousands of 5-star reviews and they are available in multiple colors!
This revolutionary silicone shroom-shaped device promises to catch every last hair to avoid the burden of clogs in your shower drains.
How does TubShroom work?
After installation (a.k.a. just popping it into your drain), loose hair strands circle around the center tube to be caught before going into your pipes. It still acts like a regular drain, so water flows down as normal. To clean, you pull the Shroom up and slide off the collected stands in one effortless wipe. Really, it’s just that easy!
Better yet, the TubShroom can stop both human and pet hair from clogging up your plumbing system, saving you hundreds in potential snake work and plumbing fees.
While this handy device only works on bathtub drains, the company has a full line of products preventing clogs in sinks and shower stalls, along with universal plugs for total water blockage. They’ve even created a strainer specifically for the kitchen!
If you’re tired of spending your time and energy fighting a losing battle against hair clogs, make the tiny investment in a TubShroom — thousands already have and are much happier for it, including me! 🤗
Read how this clever Amazon mat is saving space on our sinks!
We got one a few years ago. It works great.
Yay! SO glad it has been working well for you! Thanks a bunch for taking the time to comment!
I wished we had bought it sooner! 4 females in this house my daughters all have long thick curly hair mine is long but thin however the amount of hair we used to clean from the drain OMG this thing was a lifesaver!
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing your experience with us! I’ll have to grab one of these too!
This is an amazing product!!! In the past we were cleaning hair out of our drain weekly and using bottles of drain cleaner!! Those drain cleaner bottles really added up. Since purchasing the tub shroom (maybe a year ago) we have had zero clogs. I don’t know how we survived without it.
How cool! Good to know it has also helped you save, Ellen! Thanks a TON for your feedback!
I’m shocked how often I have to clean my “shroom” out and I’m the only one that uses the shower. Made me realize how much hair was getting down the drain previously! Only wish I had known about it sooner!
Maybe it was just my drain but this did not work at all for me
Oh bummer! Sorry to hear it didn’t work in your shower drain. Thanks so much for the honest comment.
The original didn’t work in my old house, but the stainless steel is great. I didn’t have a crossbar to hold the plastic one up. This doesn’t need it. The metallic looking top on the plastic also popped off rather quickly.

Itโs a must in our house my daughter and I both have long curly hair itโs a lifesaver
This little gadget definitely works!!!!
I love this! I do still have to clean mine tubshroom every time before I shower (it is easier to clean when dry) but I no longer stand in a puddle of water when I shower.
Oh awesome! SO happy to hear that, Amanda!
Bought mine years ago, love it!
FYI a while ago after reading the fantastic reviews of this product I found the Showershroom at TJ Max. After buying it and before using I happened upon the fact that the Showershroom needs altered since the drain is different and the hot water sucks the shroom down to block pipes! Iโm glad I looked it up Itself because I bought it based On the reviews for this product which I still believe is fantastic.
Oh interesting! Thanks so much for the helpful tip, Esther!
I donโt get what you mean. Altered how?
The โarmsโ that hold it up and allow it to NOT go down the drain are a soft rubber that get softer as the shower gets hot. I put a hard plastic stirrer through two of the holes to keep it from getting sucked down the drain.
Love the product, but I have to bleach it often due to mildew ๐
I bought one after reading about it here last time. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit in my drains. They have cross bars near the top of the drain. Back to the strainer type.
I love this as well! I grabbed one a while back when you posted – such a great little invention. We have to clean it almost weekly which goes to show how much hair was going down (and clogging) our drain weekly! We haven’t had to use draino since we got this little gem which is good news for our pipes (and our pocketbooks!).
I canโt live without ours! We had the plastic shrooms and they would get so mildewed so I switched to these stainless steel ones and have had no problem. Is it to ally gross to take long hair with conditioner off of it? Yes, but way better than clogging up your drain with them! It is easier if they dry out completely and they peel off, especially regular not conditioned hair which is very easy to pull off wet but extra easy dry. You will not regret it. We have one for the tub and one for the bathroom sink. The tub has the crosshair metal about 2-3โ down and the sink has nothing inside but the open pipe and both of them fit perfectly fine.
Thanks for the awesome review, CJ! Happy these have been working so well in your drains! ๐
I have been wanting one for my daughter’s tub for a while, just didn’t want to spend the money. Just ordered and picking up this afternoon! Thanks so much!
You’re very welcome! Glad you could finally snag one for her tub! ๐
Got one. Thank you!
You’re welcome, Tula! ๐ค
