Easy Holiday Party Appetizer Using a Cake Pan…

Want to contribute a yummy dish without cooking for your next holiday party?! Consider re-purposing a tree shaped cake pan as a festive cheese and meat platter!

This simple appetizer was easy to compile using a Wilton Christmas tree cake pan, assorted meats, cheeses, tomatoes, and green olives. I also happen to have a large rosemary bush in my yard and used clippings from it as dividers between each item, but you could also add some lettuce leaves instead.

This same idea can be applied to make a similar fruit tray if preferred, and also to serve smaller sized Christmas cookies and candies.

I love these type of no fuss ideas you can compile a day or two before for convenience!

Don’t have a pan? Maybe look for something similar at a local thrift store or craft store. You could also make a cute rosemary wreath like I did, by first arranging rosemary around the edges and placing olives and tomatoes on top.

P.S. Costco has a huge 70 oz. jar of gourmet Mediterranean olives and red peppers for just $9!

Last Christmas, friends brought over a cookie sheet tray with the same idea. Everything was arranged in a tree shape on the pan surrounded by crackers to fill in the outside edges and background.

I thought it said Easter, and I thought “are you kidding me?” Thank goodness it didn’t 🎄
