Easy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Squares (Just 4 Ingredients)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 box spiced cake mix
  • 15. oz can Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions

In a large bowl, mix all four ingredients until batter is smooth and well combined.

Pour into a greased 9x13 pan, and smooth evenly with the back of a spoon.

Bake at 375 for about 27-30 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool. Cut into squares.

It’s NEVER too early to start eating pumpkin! πŸŽƒ

If you’re a pumpkin fan, you’ve gotta whip up these Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Squares that require just FOUR easy ingredients, and a few minutes to prepare! Mixing a can of pumpkin puree with a boxed cake mix has been my favorite go-to method for quick pumpkin treats for the last several years.

You can make muffins, or cookies using this genius combination. I think it was originally a Weight Watchers recipe idea.

This time I’ve added a cup of chocolate chips to the mixture and used a 9×13 baking dish to make these delicious squares, almost like a dense yet soft snack cake. I love that this recipe is easy enough for my kids to bake themselves, and they taste SO GOOD!

My family LOVES anything pumpkin and of course, they really enjoyed these! Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Squares would be a great after school treat, or something yummy to share as a simple dessert for any fall gathering or occasion. Enjoy!

    yummy! so easy too! what i do in the fall is buy 1- whole pie pumpkin remove seeds, bake it (house smells amazing during )then peel off the outer shell, freeze the baked pulp then just take out about 2c at a time out of freezer for recipes. i like to put 2 cups in blender with nutmeg cinnamon and ginger milk ice and a little bit of real sugar its really good its my homemade healthy PSL πŸ™‚

      Yes sometimes I do cream cheese icing! πŸ˜€πŸ‘ ~ and if you wanted to skip the chocolate you could. I’ve added walnuts instead with the cream cheese frosting

        Yes, I’ve made muffins just using the cake mix and the pumpkin, so good, easy breakfast muffins! You can also add cinnamon chips, yummy!

    Keep in mind this is really moist (like a wet moist) because of the pumpkin. My son loves it and it’s healthy but I need more texture to my cake.
