how-to-make-starbucks-pumpkin-bread

This has been my go to treat at Starbucks lately! I’m so happy to have found a recipe just like it. To be sure, today I bought a slice of theirs and made my own at home. The verdict is… this copycat version is definitely super close and of course really yummy! My family LOVED it.

The texture and sweetness reminds me of banana bread, but a pumpkin version. The pumpkin seeds taste awesome on top too! What a perfect Fall bread. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

  3. Jessica

Lina, you may be just the person to ask. Do you know of any awesome cream cheese croissant recipes? I would love to hear any suggestions. Thanks.

  4. Emily

Yay for dairy free!!! I am going to sub in all purpose gf flour to have a treat that my son can actually enjoy on his GFCF diet!

    • Melissa

If you get a chance (not trying to sales pitch you here!), check out my shop on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheBuffPastryShop I sell all sorts of healthy, sugar free, gluten free, vegan (no dairy) goodies! I just know how hard it can be finding tasty treats to accommodate special diets! 🙂

I have this baking in the oven now! Thank you for sharing this recipe, I’m very excited to have a less costly version of Starbucks pumpkin loaf!!

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Oh good! I know so am I 😀

  6. Kitty

How long would you bake if you make muffins instead?

    • burgys

I would just stick a toothpick in once in a while until it will come out clean, then you know it’s done.

  7. Love

    • S

      PLEASE 😍

    • Heather C

      I’m with her 😜

Does anyone know when the canned pumpkin will be on sale anywhere? Or a coupon out there? It my area, it’s about $1.92 a can at Target.

    • J.J.

They usually have deals and coupons around thanksgiving.

    • Friend

If you shop at Costco they have a 3 pack of 29-oz cans for $6.99

      • Dawn

I actually just asked Costco the other day about canned pumpkin being in-stock… and they said closer to thanksgiving…really? But it’s okay to have the Christmas trees out already, lol

        • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Oh too funny and also frustrating. I couldn’t find pumpkin in my area last month at any store so ordered on Amazon. 😁

    • Helen in Meridian

Ridleys Family Market has the 15 oz can 2/$1.00. Not Libbys but good pumpkin puree.

    • Gerald Want

I am the “pie-man” for the Holidays, sometimes making pies in exchange for other services from farmer friends. I have even planted my own pumpkins. It used to be you could buy pumpkins in grocery stores for Thanksgiving, but no more. I have to get the pumpkins for Halloween and pressure-can them for use later on. Believe me, the pumpkin is so much better canned than frozen. I’d love to share some receipes ! JERRY in Anthony, NM

  10. Carol_R

Thanks Lina! It looks great. I’ll have to try it.

  11. Sophie

This looks sooo good. I just had a piece from Starbucks this week and I always eat it with cream cheese. Delicious, but expensive. I’ll have to make this instead! This might inspire me to break out my copy cat pumpkin cream cheese muffin recipe and make them at the same time!

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Sounds yummy! Thanks Sophie!

  12. Ihearthip

Got this in the oven right now and it smells wonderful 😊hoping it will taste good as I had to do some substitutions

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Oh good! Enjoy 😀

  13. dana mercer

Still have a bottle of Vodka hiding in my closet ( we are not drinkers–although some days I just stare at it wondering!?!?) from a past post on making your own vanilla. Made it once and it WAS really good. However, them beans are sooooo expensive. Any suggestions as to the best place to purchase?

  14. ginagrotz

I have everything to make this but the pumpkin seeds! Can’t decide to make without or drag myself to the store:(

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      I think it’d still be wonderful 👍🏻

  15. ginagrotz

Made it without the pumpkin seeds, but learned the 15 oz can of Libbys make 2 breads, without any waste.

  16. Sue W

This looks good. Last year I made the gluten free pumpkin bundt cake you posted and it was a hit with those who needed gluten free and those that didn’t. It is moist and yummy. I hope you’ll post it again.

    • Vickie M Garcia

I too would love for them to post this receipe as well. 🤗🙂💗

  17. Jill Gauwitz

I am the owner of a B&B. I am a season cook. If you follow a recipe, it should come out beautifully. I made this recipe and it came out dry and did not have the color of the true Pumpkin Bread Of Starbucks. With all the spices, you could not pick them out. I was disappointed.

  18. Vickie M Garcia

I would love for you to share some pumpkin recipes. I love anything that is pumpkin.🤗😉💗

  19. Hanh

My picky 8-year old son said it was better than Starbucks pumpkin bread! I’m packing them for lunch as muffins. Thank you so much for saving me money!

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh my goodness! I’m so happy it worked out! 👏
