Wondering how to make strawberry pie? 🍰
With summertime quickly approaching, it’s time to treat yourself to a sweet treat! If you’re looking for the perfect quick and delicious dessert recipe, try this easy and fresh strawberry pie! This crowd-pleaser can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge – then just garnish with whipped cream when ready to serve. If you enjoy this recipe, consider making more than one pie because this pie will wow your guests!
This recipe isn’t your traditional pie; aside from the pie crust, this is a no-bake pie that anyone can make. Bring this to any get-together and blow your crowd away! It’s fresh and can be made all-year round; however, we love making it in the summer since that is when strawberries are in season! 🍓
This strawberry pie recipe is much easier than you think!
It’s really as simple as chopping up some fresh strawberries, whisking up strawberry-flavored gelatin, and combining them in a store-bought pie crust. You can use your favorite pie crust recipe if desired or skip the baking as a whole and use a graham cracker crust. One of our readers tried it and loved how it turned out!
Score some bonus points by topping off the finished product with cool and creamy whipped cream – YUM! The strawberry gelatin serves as a pie filler, giving more dimension to your dessert. Plus, it will amplify the fruity flavors.

If you're looking for a super quick and delicious fruit pie, try this easy and fresh strawberry pie recipe!
- 9 inch pie crust - store bought or homemade
- 2 pints of fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 oz. package of strawberry gelatin
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup of water
- whipped cream
Bake pie crust according to package directions, and let cool.
Wash and slice strawberries (I left some whole and sliced the larger ones).
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk water, cornstarch, and sugar together. Bring to a boil and stir for a couple of minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and whisk in gelatin until dissolved. Let mixture cool for 10 minutes.
Arrange strawberries on top of the pie crust. Pour the gelatin mixture on top of the strawberries. Place in fridge to set for a couple of hours. Serve with whipped cream if desired. Makes 6-8 servings.
What a refreshing dessert for a warm day!

Frozen Yogurt Bark is another must-try summertime treat!
This looks amazing, thank you!! I’m desperately hoping we get to have family over for the 4th of July (missing them so😭) and I can make this!
Sure and yes I miss my people too, can relate!
Make sure to remove the worms from your strawberries first 😂🙈
My mom makes the crust for this out of Bisquick. Sooo good
Oh interesting! Sounds yummy!
Yum! Thanks for the idea. I think adding blueberries would be good. And if you use whipped cream, you’d get the whole red/white/blue Americana vibe going.
Oh I LOVE that so much! I may do that for the 4th 😍
Thanks. I have been wanting to make crustless strawberry pie, before my strawberries go bad. This looks easy.
Yes so easy!
Yumm. Same recipe I use besides a different thickener.
Make sure you mix the cornstarch with the sugar well before you add it to the water, otherwise you’ll have clumps. I make a similar recipe that’s a family favorite- soooo easy and always a crowd pleaser!
Yay! I’m gonna make this for our bbq tomorrow;)
Haven’t made any pies before, and wondering what the strawberry gelatin is for?
Basically it’s a filler. I’ve made this many times and it’s delicious! I use Marie Calendar pie crust in the freezer section.
Ahh I see, thank you!
I made this today. It was delicious and so easy! I didn’t change anything on recipe except that I used a pre-made graham cracker crust. I’ll definitely make this again!
I used to make this a long time ago but lost the recipe. Thanks for posting it.
You’re welcome, rwild1! Enjoy! 🍓🥧
I make this recipe at least a couple times a year. I use sugar free gelatin rather than the regular. It cuts the sugar and you also get a better strawberry flavor
Oh nice! Thanks for the tip!
