Hip Tips:
- Breakfast Sandwiches are so versatile as the options are literally endless! Try adding ham, bacon, veggies or even spice it up with pepper jack cheese or jalapenos! Also check out our Baked Tomato and Bacon version.
- When freezing, I have the best outcome when I wrap the sandwich in plastic wrap and then wrap it with either parchment paper or foil and seal in a Ziploc bag. To make it really easy to grab and go, please each sandwich in an individual Ziploc bag so you can literally grab and run out the door!
- Sandwiches can be stored in the freezer up to 3-4 weeks.
- To heat the frozen sandwich, remove sandwich from plastic wrap and foil. Wrap sandwich in a damp paper towel and place in microwave for 1 minute. If sandwich is not completely warm in the middle, put back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.

total time: 35 MINUTES
These easy make-ahead breakfast sandwiches are perfect for those busy school and work mornings!
Ingredients
- 6 English Muffins
- 10 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- cooked bacon
- cooked sausage patties
Directions
1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and spices. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Top with your choice of shredded cheese and bake for 25 minutes.
3
Once eggs have baked, remove from oven and let cool. I used a round cutter to cut out eggs in a circular shape and then place on top of English muffin. If you prefer, you can just cut eggs into squares.
4
Top with bacon, sausage or any veggies.
5
Wrap sandwich in plastic wrap and then again with a piece of foil or parchment paper. Place in a freezer in a resealable bag for up to 4 weeks.

Love this idea! Doing this for sure! Super awesome for those (dreaded) upcoming chilly mornings. 🥶 Thank you!
Hi, So you don’t toast the english muffins at all?
Hey Ihs, you absolutely can toast them. I do not with freezing since warming them up in a microwave the muffin does become soft. If you are serving right away you can though.
Toasting adds flavor, though, even if the muffins are soft when you reheat. And by drying out the muffin a bit while toasting, the sandwich won’t be “damp” after microwaving it. Give it a try!
You haven’t lived until you’ve made these and sprinkled them with Everything But the Bagel seasoning from Trader Joe’s! 🙂 Also great for a quick dinner if you’re in a hurry!
YUM! I love that seasoning! Thanks for the suggestion, Cheri!
I like doing breakfast burritos this way as well!
Ooh! Awesome idea! I may try that too! Thanks for sharing with us!
Thx hip2save for another great idea.. I have a question tho.My son loves the ones from McDonalds .I buy 2 a week and put them in his lunch . Does anyone think this will thaw out by lunch ? Or should I just microwave in a.m. and it will be ok by lunch ? Tia.please keep these easy tips comming .God bless.
Your son will love these! I would still warm the sandwich up for a minute just to make sure it has thawed out. What an awesome lunch he is going to have.
Great idea. How long do you microwave the sandwiches for?
Thanks for all these great recipes.
You’re welcome, Karen! Here is what we suggestion for heating them up!
“To heat the frozen sandwich, remove sandwich from plastic wrap and foil. Wrap sandwich in a damp paper towel and place in microwave for 1 minute. If sandwich is not completely warm in the middle, put back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.”
Hope this helps!
This is great for the round dash mini grills that go for $8. Also the English muffin sandwich makers on amazon.
Thanks for the helpful suggestion, Nita!
I’d use an air fryer to re-heat..with a spray of olive oil inside and out
Thanks so much for the tip!
I’ve made similar sandwiches before and the egg retains so much moisture that the sandwich drips and runs as you eat it. What am I doing wrong??
I wonder if adding salt to the egg when scrambling them will help firm up the egg and help it to retain the water? I know that the easiest way to clean egg off the floor is to pour salt on it, lol
Anyone know of a brand of English muffins that has few ingredients but tastes good?
i just make like a giant omelette in the frying pan and then use a glass to cut them into rounds that fit the english muffins perfectly…and i’m a pig so i put a ton of butter and two slices of cheese on the english muffin…and it’s top 5 favorite meals
Going to make these and the breakfast burrito pouches this week. Thank you for sharing these great ideas! ♥️
