Maple Bacon Pancake Bites

Adapted from Vixen’s Kitchen

Ingredients:

2 cups pancake mix (Bisquick)
1 cup milk
2 eggs

For Frosting:

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup real maple syrup

Topping:

1lb. bacon, cooked and finely chopped
How to make Bacon Pancake Bites Hip2Save.comDirections: Combine pancake batter ingredients and pour into two GREASED mini muffin pans, filling each cup about 2/3 of the way. Bake at 400 degrees for about 9-10 minutes until golden. Place muffins on a cooling rack. Cook and chop bacon and set aside in a bowl. In another bowl, mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. Dip each muffin in frosting and chopped bacon. Drizzle with extra maple syrup before serving.

Notes: I used pancake mix, but you could substitute your favorite homemade recipe. If you prefer full sized muffins, adjust cooking time as needed. These muffins still taste great the next day!

Ladies. Where is the best place to purchase real maple syrup.?tia

    • Emulvey2001

I’ve gotten great prices at Target & Whole Foods. Keep in mind, it will still be pricey ($10+), but it’s worth it!!!

    • Tsquared

Google maple syrup producers for your area, visit a farmers market for larger amounts like gallon, half gallon and quarts. Walmart and other grocery stores carry small bottles but it’s usually the darker syrup and the most desired sweetest maple syrup is light in color.

    • Natalie

My mom bought me some at Aldi. Don’t think it’s organic though.

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

We love the organic kind from Costco!

    • Sarah

Seriously? Don’t pay money for syrup! Making it is the easiest thing ever! If you can boil water, you can boil sap. You can freeze or can it when it’s done, and it will make your kitchen smell amazing.

      • rebecca

do you suggest i use the sap of the Palo Verde or the Mesquite trees? because that’s what they have where i live. how do i get enough sap from the tree to boil down? do you promise it won’t be disgusting?

  2. Ashley

Personally I would say Costco is a strong contender if that is an option for you. They have a big jug of organic maple syrup for 10$!

  3. Nina

Omg these look dangerous!! Let’s just say my diet hates you right night 😝 oh well I just had a baby 6 weeks ago, I can still use that excuse right! Bahahaha! Thank you for the recipes

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Aw thanks for reading Nina!

    • Linda

I was thinking the same thing. Well, not the “baby 6 weeks ago” part but more like “darn you”! Those sound so yummy!

Is the bisquick regular bisquick or the pancake mix that states “only need to add water”?

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)
