Cons that some reviewers want you to consider:

  • Started shedding after a few months

“This rug has been a staple in my home for years! The price of this large rug allows me to easily replace it should it ever get ruined by one of our dogs, cats or kiddos. It grounds any space with an easy vibe and looks way more expensive then it is. The chunky texture is softer on the feet than similar rugs I’ve purchased from Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel. I highly recommend this rug!”

  • Perfect for rustic home decor
  • Each rug is unique

  • Fold didn’t come out of the hide after 10 days

“I purchased this cowhide a few months ago and it really pulls our room together! The one we picked is a beautiful rich brown color with a few white markings. It does shed just a little bit, but I don’t foresee it being an issue. We also like that it does not slip and slide on our hardwood floor. The unfinished leather on the back has enough traction to keep it in place. As a bonus, it’s also thin enough that our Roomba can get over it with ease. It’s really just the perfect rug!”

– Lisa ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

row of various rugs hanging at IKEA store

Price | $99 – $199

Is the living room the focal point of your home? Then you’re going to love having this high pile rug to sprawl out and enjoy family game night, movie nights, and many more fun memories for years to come.

Here are some other reasons you’ll love it:

Cons that some reviewers want you to consider:

  • Requires an anti-slip pad underneath to keep in place
  • Poor quality control over the years
  • Had a strong smell when it arrived

“We’re so happy we bought this rug! We’ve had it for about a month now, and it’s so squishy and comfy. It’s also so easy to keep clean and it doesn’t shed! In my opinion, it doesn’t need a rug pad and it gets a ton of compliments. We also own a cat, so we were a bit concerned that he would scratch at it, but he loves to just lay on it! Frankly, even if he did scratch at it, the subtle pattern and fluffy texture would hide it anyway. I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend this in all colors to anyone.”

– Kelly ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ok real talk… anyone have ideas to stop a dog from peeing on rugs so I can get some of these? Lol.

    • kmlewis81

      Seriously! I wish I knew!

Don’t laugh. I put a diaper on my dog. cut a hole in and threaded the tail through. It worked. And she didn’t take it off. I’ve also used diapers on a lamb that we were bottle feeding. Everyone giggles when they see the animals wearing diapers, but I’d rather be laughed at than cleaning up messes.
