So I am on cloud 9… I just got back from Rite Aid a little while ago and well, I LOVE Rite Aid… seriously! I was able to score all 12 packages of candy pictured above for FREE! Plus, I left with EVEN more +Up Rewards then I began with!

Do UP’s work the same as Extra Bucks at CVS? Can you use multiple up’s in the same transaction? Is is easy like CVS, or hard (count by numbers) like wags?
Nope they work just like ECB’s which makes CVS and Rite Aid my fav stores. I don’t really like Wags unless it’s a good deal without RR’s. Too confusing for me.

I bought 8 bags last night and am headed bag in a little while. My 5/25 wellness q message is still in my account that is good till 12/31. I have to log in to ra to print it so I would say that isn’t an issue. In CT you don’t pay tax on anything till after all qs and ups are off the final total so maybe it is a regional issue.

Just an FYI, my friend just got back from getting some candy and it only printed the $1 UP and we’re in the same area as Collin.
I just got back – 9am Friday – and it worked for me. I got sweedish fish, starburst, jolly ranchers, and sour patch.
Just curious, are the rite aids that this deal is working for in direct competition with cvs?
I don’t think that’s a factor as we don’t have a CVS in the state I’m in and it worked for me.

I’m so happy to see that next week’s sale is all of the cold stuff free after rebate! This is the PERFECT way to use those UP rewards and end up getting our cash back at the end!!! Love it!

I went to RA this morning (just 45 minutes ago) at 8 when they opened the doors and the mystery $2 worked today also plus the $1. Used RA gift card to pay and got back $28. I’m ready for Halloween. I am in NC.

Me too lol! By time I drop my nephew off at school & my mom at work, I won’t make it to the store til 9:30ish. *keeping fingers crossed* there’s candy left. It works! The candy is not in the Halloween section at my store! It is where the candy usually is in the store! Purchased 12 bags for $30.98 used $5off 25 and paid $25.98 out of pocket and got $30 in rewards! To bad i used my bucks at Publix yesterday!

I got there this morning when they opened at 8. Pretty picked over, but still got 6 bags (2 blow pops, 2 lifesavers, 1 bag jelly beans & 1 bag twizzlers). Even though the twizzlers & jellybeans were clearly marked they were part of the sale, they were still ringing up at regular price. The cashier said I wouldn’t get the +1UP for those but she would ring them up as 2/$4 instead of 2/$5. When my receipt printed out, I did not get the +1UP for those, but did get the +2UP for each of the bags I bought, so I ended up with 6 of the +2UP rewards & 2 of the +1UP rewards. Paid $1.73 out of pocket & got back $14 +UP rewards!!
Maybe it depends on the store. I know one of the stores in my area isn’t printing the extra $2 Up. I might try 2 bags so I won’t be out a lot.

This is a great deal for Halloween candy. I live in an apt bldg on a main road so we do not get any. What other reason can I come up with to get some cheap candy and not have my husband look at me like I am crazy? Hmmm….

Call around, maybe your local school or church could use the donation for fairs or something!
Churches will take candy donations if they do a “fall festival” for the kids. I donate most of mine to our church.
Maybe this would work for me but I have just decided to give up on Rite Aid. They are almost always out of specials. And the more products you need to get a rebate the more likely they are to be out of them. And the salespeople have unfriendly attitudes. I just don’t feel good when I come out of Rite Aid and find I dread going into one. Oh well, I don’t need all that sugar anyway.
I’m sorry for your bad experience! Just so you know, most Rite Aids I have ever been to are very helpful and friendly. You should shop around for a store (if you have more than one in your area) or a cashier that your like! I LOVE shopping at my friendly Rite Aid stores!
I have a Rite Aid right around the corner, less than half a mile, but I go out of my way to one 3 miles away because the one by my house is terrible!
I also went to RA this AM. and got 6 more bags. It worked for me. I got 16 Bags last night. It cost me for 22 bags of candy only 1.01 and the reason it cost me that was because one bag of skittles did not print the $1 up reward. But still that is a really really good deal. I love RA.

I live in Louisville, KY and it worked for me. Well, mostly. Something I bought did not give me the $1 up on the 2 bags. I got all the $2 mystery ones though. I bought $30 worth of candy, used a $5/$25, paid $26 and some change, and got back $29 in ups. The shift supervisor that checked me out asked how I did that. I explained it to him and he said he was going to do it tonight before he left.
Hi all, just back from my rite aid near detroit. Candy deal worked on everything except the .20 cent air heads. I bought 2 and no UP+ rewards. But it did work on the big bags of Air Heads. Also, remember the post about the free Rainblo Bubble gum? Buy one 1 at .88 and get .88 rewards back? Well, it didn’t work for me.

If you get the Wellness emails, you should have a coupon for $0.50 off $5 or more bagged candy purchase. And on the same page there is a coupon for $1/$10 Cold & Flu Purchase that you can use for next weeks free after SCR items.

Worked today in Southern NJ! I bought two tester bags, and it printed up $5 in Up rewards, so I got 6 more bags, used my $5 UP from the first receipt, spent $11 and got $15 in Up rewards.

Yep Rite Aid deal still worked this morning. The clerks didnt know anything about it and were surprised when all the Rewards printed. I did not clean out the store in case others were on their way out to shop as well! 🙂 Also my 5 off 25 worked that I printed earlier in the week, from the videos.
If I do one transaction of 12 bags and get all of the UP rewards, can I go back later and use those up rewards to do another transaction? We have a lot of trick-or-treaters and this would definitely help the budget on candy 🙂

Just got back and boy, there was slim pickins at my store. Right as I was walking in, I saw another lady roll a cart loaded full of candy, so I immediately went to the candy aisle and got 2 Tootsie Rolls, 2 Blow Pops & 2 Starburst, then went about with the rest of my shopping. I’m guessing she had at least 20 or more bags. But I’m happy with what I got, total spent was $11.56 ($10 on GC and $1.56 cash), got back $20 in UPS. But now that I look over my receipt, I thought my total was a bit more than I calculated and one of my $2 UPs didn’t come off 🙁 Oh well, I turned $7 into $20!!
