I have an Ibotta question and didn’t know where to post it. I’ve been all through the help section of Ibotta and Tutorials. How come after I unlock the deal, scan to verify the product it does not go anywhere, shouldn’t it then go to upload receipt? It only gives me the option to cancel or stay or the page. I’ve scanned my product a dozen times and it’s getting very frustrating. Does that mean I can’t get the rebate for some reason if it doesn’t automatically go to upload receipt?

    • Stacy

Try clicking Redeem on the bottom of the screen. You will be asked to scan the products barcode and then you will be able to upload your receipt.

  2. Carol

Stacy, Yes, that is what I did and after I scan the bar code it says it matches but then doesn’t let me upload the receipt. I see the bar to click to upload but it’s not lit up to be able to activate it. I don’t know what’s wrong, I’ve been able to do it in the past.

    • Stacy

Hmmm that’s weird! I always click redeem and then it asks to verify items, so I click on that. After I scan the barcode the submit receipt lights up and I click that to upload the receipt. Maybe you could restart your phone and see if that helps or maybe even uninstall and reinstall the app?

      • Mel

Make sure your APP is up to date. They recently changed the upload feature. If your app is up to date, try restarting your phone. That’s what I had to do. Once you verify the item matches, the bottom will now say Verify $.xx, and in pink. Touch that and it’ll change to Step 2 for you to the upload receipt.

        • Carol

Thank you, I’ll try restarting my phone. If I have to delete and reload the app I won’t lose the money I’ve accumulated will I?

          • Carol

Well darn, I guess the milk Ibotta deal is gone! After all that trouble trying to get that $0.50, what a waste of time.

You can email addupc at ibotta dot com – I believe they need a picture of the front and back of the product. Make sure the UPC is clear. I did this once and they were very quick to add!
