I do no think the Almay makeup remover deal will work because the second makeup remover will be brought down to less than $4 with the 50% off promo and with the new coupon policy they will not take a coupon for over the amount of the item, they used to adjust the coupon down but not anymore at my stores. You would only be able to use 1 $4 Almay coupon. Hope I am wrong but not even going to try because of all the problems I have been having at my Walgreens lately:(

At my Wags, it has worked for me. Because the price of Almay combined is $8.98 (at my store) it takes 2 $4/1 coupons in the system. I tried earlier this month and the cashier didn’t think it was going to work but it did take both. Hope yours does too!
Walgreens is in the process of changing their registers over, so any coupon that is over the price of the item will beep. If it worked for you before, that just means your store doesn’t have the update yet.
You are right Jeanette, the changes are all very recent and is updated in all three of my stores, it is a sad day,lol.
Yeah changes happened this week at my store. Register Rewards can no longer be used with fillers. They are now being treated as a manufacturer’s coupon, which have a limit of one per item. Plus, the purchase price of the item must be greater than the register reward. This will just send me over to CVS more often.
Our store had $1 coupons for the Vitamin Water energy drinks so will be picking those up tomorrow for $.50 and hopefully the register reward will work for me.

Yes. As long as it’s not from the same company. Like is you bought a crest mouthwash last week and got a 1.50 rr, You couldn’t use the 1.50 rr from the mouthwash to buy a crest toothpaste ( pretending you get a rr for the toothpaste) this week and get another rr…. Lol. I hope I made a little sense.
Don’t forget the papermate .50/1 pack (excludes 2ct).. Of course walgreens won’t take it being over so much but you can ad match at walmart and get 30 cents overage on mechanical pencils!

I wonder if that paper mate q will work at wags if u just buy the amount to equal q? For instance, purchasing 9 at $.29 each = $2.61. Use 5 coupons -$2.50. Total would be .11 for 9 packs 🙂
Nope. I tried! ! The value of the coupon cannot exceed the purchase price of the item limit started on the coupon. If it was .50/2 it would work. Walgreens has gotten very coupon UNfriendly the past few months and I am shopping less and less bc of these changes.
In the 7/13 RedPlum there was a regional coupon

WARNING The Almay make up smart shade may not work. When I did reg. would only take 1 q bogo 1/2. 2nd rings in $1.99 after $3 in ad q. Would not take because not consistent with their policy:(. Reg. does alert since program upgrade.

I had to go to 2 walgreens..the second store I couldn’t find them..they had already pulled them off the shelf and were in a back room so if you cant find them ask if they pulled those clearance products off the shelves..the coupon expires today

I had a little trouble with the vitamin waters. The red (raspberry?) didn’t ring up on sale. I didn’t continue to see if the RR would print. I bought the green one (strawberry?) and it printed a $1.49 RR. Since this was only a penny less than advertised, I went along without saying anything. Did anyone else have this issue?
I bought the purple (berry punch) Vitamin Water. It rang up at the sale price of $1.50, and I got the $1.49 RR. I’m not crazy about the flavor, though. Its kind of bitter.

So as always Wags was a disappointment. My friendly cashier (the only one at that store) told me about the whole RR has to be the amount of something in your purchase i.e. mine was $3 therefore I had to have a $3 item and I bought the scrub bubbles so I was good to go. In the future however, I won’t be getting any of the whole buy this item for $8 to $10 and get it free after RR. So, like I said I grabbed scrubbing bubbles…printed the $1 bonus since I bought two but no $2 RR for the sale. Checked the paper and realized I got the wrong ones … needed the mega. Return/exchange and got my $2 RR for the sale. So, my mom wanted me to pick her up the deal. Went back to Wags … got the correct ones … $2 RR printed … no bonus. Looked at my catalina telling about the event in the car and noticed … mega not included in the bonus deal … just the regular scrubbing bubbles. It was still a good deal at $3/2 but it’s just one more thing that Wags knick picks on. Walgreens is definitely going to be phased out of my shopping trips when I figure out i) how to spend my $50 worth of points and ii) once I can get rid of these RR. I will say … that my ONE friendly cashier at this Walgreens is helpful and does not get immediately grouchy when I pull out my coupons. She actually bumped into me in the store and asked if I was ready to check out. Then said … no coupons today? I laughed and said … of course … I just usually get it all out and ready before I walk up. LOL Sorry so long …
A lot of people reported (on Saturday, Aug. 22) that the register reward coupons are back to working as they always have. For a while there, the last 1 – 4 weeks depending on the area where you live, Walgreens registers wouldn’t accept a RR unless there was an item in the transaction equal to or above the amount of the RR. But, now, the registers have been fixed so that they accept RRs normally.
Check your Walgreens account for the digital coupons. Several of interest, at least on mine, 1000 pts wyb any Kleenex multipack and 2000 pts wyb $10 in store.

I bought two Glade candles and Wags would only accept one .55 coupon. The 2nd wouldn’t scan. Anyone know why?
I just wanted to let everyone know that I was notified by my local cashier at wags that they will no longer be accepting coupons that are worth the same amount as the price of the product. She showed me a print out of the email and said it was sent to all stores……..very disappointed. Will be saving all my points for black Friday and no longer shopping at walgreens. Their couponing policy I’d getting to ridiculous.

At my Walgreen’s they had Scunci Ouchless 27pk hair ties for $0.99, and some of them had a bonus hair clip on them with a $1 off coupon for No Slip Grip hair clips. I think these make for great stocking stuffers or gifts!
