I’m curious why you do low carb, high fat? My son is on a very strict diet because he competes in weightlifting, he does very low carb but no fat. Can you tell me the benefits? He literally gets no fat. One thing he noticed is it helped with his reflux. He had the worst a dr. had ever seen in a 19yr old and was able to “almost” completely cut out his medication where before he was on the highest dose. Does your diet include sugar?

Keto cuts out all sugar. It’s actually a very healthy and healing way of eating. It is based on the biological process of ketosis and the reason for high fat is that it is the body’s fuel source. This way of eating has been used to treat epilepsy, diabetes, even kidney disease as well as being very helpful in reducing symptoms of arthritis, PCOS, high blood pressure and cholesterol as well as many other health concerns. Two highly recommended books regarding keto are Keto Clarity (I can’t recall the author off the top of my head) and Obesity Code by Dr Jason Fung. Dr Fung also has podcasts too I believe.

I would also add that for many following a ketogenic way of eating it isn’t a short term diet but rather a way of life. Low fat low carb is typically not a sustainable way of eating although it can be effective for short term goals. The high fat element makes this way of life sustainable as the fat is what provides satiety (and again is the fuel source for the body).

Thank you for explaining. I eat way too much sugar, but I run a lot so I always thought it was okay. Starting to not feel the best (low energy) and so I really need to change the way I eat. My family all eats so healthy, except me. I burn a lot of calories and I don’t eat enough, but this might work. Thanks again.

Collin, I’ve seen you post this item on sale before and have thought about trying it. Do you have any recipes or other ideas to use it in other than coffee?

I truly believe this web site requires much more consideration. I’ll likely be again to read a lot more, thanks for that information.
