   501 is blocked out for hbo so you can’t watch the 1st game of thrones season 8 on 4/14 🙁

  Although it appears blacked out in the Directv guide, we are able to view channel 501, just not able to record anything from that particular channel.

   If you have a hulu or Amazon prime account you can order TV channels. It is called HBOnow. There is a free 7 day trial for HBO and it is 15 per month. You can cancel at anytime. I do not do cable so I was looking for an alternative way to watch the new season.
