However, some of hand sanitizers (Blumen, not sure if there are others) sold by Sam’s Club are in the recall list.

The Blumen hand sanitizer advertised here in April is on the list. It was sold via Sam’s club online. My family has been using this for 3 months
I bought it too off this sites post. I called them today and they send to return for a full refund. Luckily we haven’t used it.

Yes but at that time in June the Blumen was not on the list. it was release on 7/2/20 updated list that the Blumen brand that was advertised in April for sale at Sam’s club that thid product was tested and contains methanol.

you need to mention the Blumen brand that was advertised in April! It was released in July FDA update that this brand is contaminated with methanol. Who knows how many people read the blumen post and bought from Sam’s club in April. That June post is not enough!

It is critical for people to know that if they used these products they should seek prompt medical attention. Severe neurological damage and permanent blindness can result. Children are very vulnerable. It is so shocking to me that manufacturers would do this.

I had not heard about the recall until last Thursday. I ordered a couple bottles from Sams Club early last week. When then arrived, I contacted Sams Club via chat. Told them I had not opened the package they shipped in ….nor the bottles. They issued a refund thru that chat session. Told me I did not need to return it. It will be discarded asap. I was reading online that it’s not advisable to dump it down the drain nor toilet. It was recommended that it be taken to a poison control center….or something like that. I think I’ll open them outside and pour them into a pail then put the pail on the balcony of the sun’s and birds reach and let the process of evaporation take care of it. Guess I’m back to making my own diy version. Just wondering if the funny smelling iso alcohol I got from Sams Club is ok to use. Sorta like diesel mixture or something like that. Not sure where it was manufactured at. Haven’t been able to locate any info on bad smelling iso online. What a position we are now in at this point. Now we’re dealing with Mexico. Immigration talks and actions has soured them to us. Wow….plants a seed of mistrust for sure. Yall Stay Safe.
