4 Team Members Ordered the SAME Levi Skinny Jeans on Amazon & Only 1 Loves Them!
We love a great Amazon find!
Ahh…the convenience of ordering on Amazon! With so many people sharing their Amazon fashion stories, sometimes it’s hard to know when it’s truly a great piece to add to your wardrobe or not. And recently we heard about a pair of magical slimming jeans… hello!
Of course, we had to try them and see if they lived up to all the hype. After hearing from 4 of the ladies on our team, I’m sharing the truth about these slimming jeans.
Here are the jeans our team tried:

These jeans already had a lot to live up to with over 10,000 5 star reviews on Amazon and all the hype Today.com shared on their site. The ladies on our team were expecting some seriously awesome jeans to come in the mail!
Here are some of the reasons why they were so excited to try them:

- So easy to slip on with their no button & no zipper design
- They’re all under 30 bucks (that’s more than worth it to us for a great pair of denim)
- Mid-rise fit with a super stretch material that lasts all day without losing its shape
- Skinny fit with tummy slimming panel at the waist
- Machine washable
So what did our team really think? Here’s what they said about their Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. jeans:
1. Lina’s experience
“I struggle to find jeans that fit my body shape. If they fit in the waist usually they’re baggy on the backside and most of the time way too long, So when these cute jeans fit me – I was pleasantly surprised! They feel more like a legging and are super comfy, with a flattering wash, yet are actual jean material. I really enjoy that they don’t have a button… because hello, comfort!”
*Lina is 5’3” tall and wearing a size 16 short. To her, they are true to size.
2. Bryn’s experience
“After reading Lina’s rave reviews about these pants, I decided to order a pair for myself. My first mistake may have been settling for the Noir color (as that was the only color available in my size) versus waiting for the Harmony color to become available. I’m not typically a fan of black jeans and these jeans ended up being no exception. The material of these pants attracted every piece of dog hair and lint in my house.
As far as the fit, I felt like I was sporting a pair of maternity jeans thanks to the super thick waistband, and the large size of the pockets made my butt look huge (not in a good way!). And although they are labeled as skinny jeans, they were really loose from my ankle to my knee and then tight around my thigh. So overall not a good fit. I’ll stick with my Amazon Essentials Skinny Jeans!”
*Bryn is 5’8″ tall and ordered a size 8 long, which is her regular size and did not fit.
3. Michelle’s experience
“I was not a fan of these jeans despite the great reviews. They weren’t long enough for me even though I ordered the longs. They just weren’t tight enough to look like jeggings, but not loose enough to be jeans and they just weren’t flattering at all. Plus I felt like the elastic waist made my tummy look huge even though they were supposed to have slimming stuff on the tummy.”
*Michelle is 6 feet tall and ordered her regular size in a long, which was too short.
4. Angie’s experience.
“I have a love/hate opinion of these jeans. I have bought two pairs that were the same size but different colors and the fit is completely different. I first bought the same pair as Lina – a medium blue with some fading. I thought these jeans were comfy and I liked the way they fit.
Then I bought a dark blue pair of the same size and I don’t like them at all! They are nowhere near the same fit as the lighter colored ones. They’re tighter and just flat out not nearly as comfortable. The lighter blue ones I still think are fantastic but there is a HUGE difference in the way they fit.”
*Angie is 5’7″ tall and ordered a size 6 regular. One pair fit and the other did not.

While Lina loved her jeans and thought they fit great, the rest of the ladies at Hip2Save were left very underwhelmed. Their main complaint? An awful fit.

For me, finding the right pair of jeans, has become almost as difficult as finding, the right bathing suit. I am not sure why……..it seems each pair of jeans is so different, that I really need to try them on AND know what will happen when I wash them. Maybe its the lycra/stretch factor.
I totally get that too, Sue. I have ordered Lee Jeans same exact style number and size just a different color, but guess what? Some of the colors are totally a different fit. I just do not understand why manufacturers do this.
I ordered them because of all the hype! I love my amazon jeans like these, but the Levis fell short in the comfort department in comparison. Oh well!

I absolutely love Kohl’s Rock and Republic Pull-On Jeans. They fit me perfect and maintain there shape. Just contributing more info on pull on jeans. They are the best!! So easy to take off and put on!! :o) …and they don’t stretch out and loose there shape.

I read a great review somewhere about these same Levi’s. Even though Levi’s never quite fit me correctly I gave them a try. First size ordered too big simply reordered smaller. Still did not like due to carrying my weight in my stomach my stomach kept pushing them down. I liked everything else about them but if you have a tummy you have to have jeans you can wear a belt with. Lesson learned for me

Black jeans typically run a bit smaller than their blue counterparts. I believe it has something to do with the dying process causing the shrinkage. There are other colors that this is true for as well.

I am big fan of Madewell jeans but they are pricey. I just tried the ANA jeans at Penneys and I LOVE them. I guess they are new. I bought the Medium rise skinny ones and they are my favorite. They have a bit of lycra but they fit so well. I

The Universal Thread jeans from Target are dupe for the Madewell jeans. I’ve bought several pair (be careful– they carry some that are around $19.99 and they aren’t as nice as the $27.99 version). I’ve also seen several people comment that the Madewell and Universal Thread jeans are made in the same factory.
Just FYI these are the lower end version of the Levi pull on jeans (Their signature line). I own the main Levi line one in black and I love them. The wash really does matter because I bought a darker wash and had to resell them because they were super smaller than the black ones. If you are going to pay $25 for these, you probably would do better buying the main Levi Line one for almost price when they are on sale. My first pair I got for $10 at Ross and the second pair I got them for $20 from Levi’s website. Kohl’s will sometimes clearance them out.
I have scored great deals on them at Kohl’s over the years! Their clearance is my main shopping haha

Any pull on wouldn’t work for me.. i need to button over my hips otherwise they’re riding down all day. but I LOVE Levi’s!! Their 720 high rise skinny jeans are flattering and comfortable!!!
I bought these after Lina’s 1st review and like her i love them. I bought the same lighter blue, they are so soft, comfortable and fit great. Im 5’2″ and got the 16 short.
These are awsome ! Cant seem to find a deal after my first purchase
I’m still waiting for a pair I ordered to get here… Supposedly by Monday but I think they’re coming from China or something. 🤪 Crossing my fingers they fit, because I’m not optimistic after this post!
I bought my honey a pair of Levi’s on amazon and they ran super large for him compared to the other Levi’s I have purchased him . We had to return them.
I bought these a couple of years ago, and didn’t like them. I bought them again in December and still they are just not for me. (& I wear other Levi pull on jeans)
I have 2 pairs of these jeans in different colors and I love them!
It sounds like Lina and my teenage daughter are the same size, she’s always complaining that all of her jeans that fit through the butt and thigh add too big on the waist. Lina, do you have a fav fitting jean, online or store, that you love and I can try for her?

“I have found three pairs this year on stitch fix that are obviously a bit more pricey but worth it for me that fit my body. Some of the brands are Democracy, Liverpool – prob Nordstrom. I have 4 pairs of these and I love them. HOWEVER, I tried to order the black twice, and something was VERY different about them. The dark blue is the most flattering for some reason.
