3
Place marinade and fish in a large plastic resealable bag for at least a couple hours.

You’ll know it’s done when the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds if desired. Serves 4-5.

I’ve tried cooking fish in the oven and have had lots of fails so I really believe the grill is the way to go! So yummy! 🙂 We like to serve this meal with some grilled veggies over brown rice (these Roasted Brussel Sprouts would also be a great side). I love that my kids will actually eat fish prepared this way and it’s super easy for a quick weeknight meal!
Would this work with frozen fish?
Yes! You’ll want to rinse the frost off and pat dry with with a paper towel so seasoning will stick. Also it may take a little additional time to cook.
That looks yummy! I must love that as it has some sweetness in the marinade.😋
Ya so far it’s the only way my kids will eat it. 😀 You could always just that or use honey as another reader suggested.
I have also used maple syrup and it is delicious!
Oh yum!
I love salmon and this looks delicious!
Thanks Amy! Enjoy 😀
The salmon oven trick is to put it on parchment paper, skin side down at 375 for 15 minutes, let rest for 3 minutes.
It works every week at our house. Also works if the salmon has no skin and is any side down!
Thanks for the tip!! 👍🏻
Also, this is pretty much the exact marinade we use as well and it’s DELICIOUS! We use honey instead of sugar sometimes and we just boil the leftover marinade for about 1 minute of hard boil and pour it over rice as a side. Yummy!
That sounds awesome!
Love this! I use brown sugar, chili flakes, salt, and olive oil and my whole family just raves about it. They like it better than steak! Can’t wait to try this recipe, thanks Lina!
Just dump those brussel sprouts, from the recipe you linked to, right on the grill next to the salmon….so delicious cooked on the grill, and no heating up the oven in summer!
Yum love that idea!
Hey, Lina. I was wondering if you had any good power bite recipes. I’ve seen dozens, usually made with nuts, dates, honey, etc, but I’d love to hear if you have a good version.
