Grilled Salmon Marinade
Adapted from AllRecipes.com
1.25 pounds salmon fillets (or larger piece as shown)
1/3 cup low sodium Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Minced Ginger
Directions: Season fish with salt and garlic powder to taste. In a bowl, mix together oil, water, soy sauce, ginger and brown sugar. Place marinade and fish in a large plastic resealable bag for at least a couple hours. Preheat outdoor grill to a medium heat and lightly brush some oil over the barbecue grates to prevent the skin from sticking. Place salmon on the grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, and discard marinade. You’ll know it’s done when the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds if desired. Serves 4-5
I’ve tried cooking fish in the oven and have had lots of fails so I really believe the grill is the way to go! So yummy! 🙂 We like to serve this meal with some grilled veggies over brown rice (these Roasted Brussel Sprouts would also be a great side). I love that my kids will actually eat fish prepared this way and it’s super easy for a quick weeknight meal!
