Anyone know if there is an alternative to buttermilk powder if a person is lactose intolerant? I’d love to make this but can’t have buttermilk
powdered rice milk, but might not thicken the same degree. Could always blend in tofu when adding the wet ingredients
Maybe a few chia seeds? They thicken and have no taste.
I have left it out entirely. Just add a quarter cup more Mayo, vegan side or sour cream when you make the dressing same amount of milk or milk substitute.
Instead of mayo, substitute plain yogurt or sour cream for a healthier version.
Thanks sue, good suggestion
I always use plain Greek yogurt! Love it! No fat and tons more protein!
Plain yogurt would be healthier. Sour cream definitely would NOT!!
Great idea- thanks!
I was surprised it includes dill. Does it have a distinctive dill taste?
Ranch dressing recipes do commonly include dill as well as other herbs, so it’s not unusual. i wouldn’t say you can’t specifically taste it strongly.
Thanks, Lina!
Can’t wait to try this. So excited to to maybe have ranch again. I won’t buy the ranch packets anymore. So this will be great.
