Ditch the ranch seasoning packets at the store and opt to make your own version instead in just a few minutes. Use ranch seasoning to to season meat, potatoes, veggies, and to make tasty homemade ranch salad dressing!

Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix

Adapted from Food.com

Ingredients

1/2 cup Dried Buttermilk Powder (usually found in the baking aisle)
1 Tablespoon Parsley
1 Tablespoon Minced Onion Flakes
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
2 teaspoons Dill Weed

Directions: Combine all ingredients using a blender for a smoother consistency, or simply mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Note that 3 tablespoons of this homemade mix is equivalent to 1 ranch packet. Store mix in airtight container.

Homemade Ranch Seasoning & Salad Dressing by Hip2Save.com

I love to use ranch seasoning to flavor mashed potatoes, ranch taco soup, grilled foil packet potatoes, burgers on the grill, roasted vegetables, and of course Ranch salad dressing!

To Make Ranch Dressing: Combine 1 Tablespoon of mix with 1/3 cup milk and 1/3 cup mayonnaise.

How long does it last in the air tight container? This looks amazing!

And MSG free unlike that valley garbage!

    • Bethany

      Exactly! MSG is poison!

Anyone know if there is an alternative to buttermilk powder if a person is lactose intolerant? I’d love to make this but can’t have buttermilk

powdered rice milk, but might not thicken the same degree. Could always blend in tofu when adding the wet ingredients

Instead of mayo, substitute plain yogurt or sour cream for a healthier version.

      Thanks sue, good suggestion

    • Sarah

I always use plain Greek yogurt! Love it! No fat and tons more protein!

    • Gerta

Plain yogurt would be healthier. Sour cream definitely would NOT!!
