Jalapeno Popper Dip Hip2Save

Whip up a new and easy appetizer for your next party or gathering – try this crowd-pleasing Jalapeño Popper Dip! It has the same yummy flavors of a traditional jalapeno popper in an easy to serve and easy to eat dip. Yummy!

Jalapeño Popper Dip

Ingredients

one 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup real mayonnaise
4 oz. cheddar cheese, cubed (or Velveeta Cheese if you prefer)
3 jalapeños, finely chopped & seeds removed
1 green onion, chopped
12 Ritz crackers, crushed
1 tablespoon butter

how to make jalapeno popper dip hip2saveDirections: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix softened cream cheese and mayo well. Add in cheddar cheese and jalapeños. Mix well and press onto the bottom of a 9 inch pan. Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle them on top. Bake for 20 minutes or until heated through. Top with sliced green onions. Serve with more crackers or tortilla chips.

A friend of mine recently made this dip and it was gone in a flash so consider doubling it and serving it in a larger pan if you expect a big crowd. Enjoy! 🙂

    How does anyone think it would taste with reduced fat cream cheese and mayonase?

      I made jalapeño popper hamburgers one time with low fat cream cheese and it didn’t taste too great.

      The Kraft recipe (this was adapted from) calls for reduced fat mayo. I often cook with the reduced fat cream cheese and haven’t noticed a difference, so I would think it would be worth a try.

        I have an amazing spinach artichoke dip that gets requested for potlucks. I tried it once with reduced fat cream cheese and it totally changed the consistency of the dip. I thin b/c low fat has more water to compensate for the missing fat and dishes are not as creamy.

      i use the 1/3 less fat cream cheese for everything and no one can ever tell. It just spreads easier.

    The recipe looks good, but this is in no way an adaption. All she did was take off the brand names. I can appreciate the sharing, but it is wrong to just take something someone else worked hard on and claim it as your own.

    If she was trying to take credit for the recipe she wouldn’t have even posted that it was from Kraft. Besides I never look at the kraft website so I would have never known this was good had Lina not already made it and brought it to my attention. Now I may browse around the kraft website because of Lina so just let stuf like that go please!
