Spread some love today. 💝

If you’re doing whatever you can to stay in touch with loved ones, we thought up some cheap under $10 gifts to send as a fun and unexpected way to let someone know you’re thinking of them during this difficult time.❤️

The Coronavirus pandemic may be able to put life and socializing to a screeching halt, but it doesn’t mean you can’t spread love in other ways.

Check out these thoughtful ideas for gifts priced at $10 or less, including delivery!

2. Send a succulent.

several succulents in pots as gifts under 10

You don’t need to know everything about succulents in order to care for them, which ultimately makes them a great gift idea for anyone. As an idea, you could purchase a 5-pack of starter succulents that’s just $17.95. If you gift one to each of your closest friends, you’ll be spending just $3.59 on each gift.

You could also just buy one succulent and have it shipped directly to a friend. CTS Air Plants on Amazon has individual succulents starting at just $6.95. Either way, it’s the thought that counts. 🤗🌵

Here are two other places that I’d recommend ordering online:

  • Fat Plants San Diego Succulent PlantThis California licensed nursery and grower guarantees fully rooted plants and always has a great variety.
  • The Home DepotA tried and true home improvement store that always has a great selection of succulent species.

Hip Tip: We shared some of our favorite succulent planters here and Lina also shares how she built a beautiful succulent plant holder on her patio here! 😍 If you’re still needing more greenery in your life, here are 15 other types of plants that don’t require a green thumb.

And with Mother’s Day coming up, surely you can send a few to mom, your stepmom, grandma, and maybe even just some mom friends to tell them they’re doing a great job!

“These cards are so amazing and high quality. I first saw them on display at my local UPS store and thought they were so beautiful. I would be totally blown away if someone sent me a card like this, and I’ll definitely be sending some to people I love soon!” – Sara

An important message to our readers:

In light of this post, we realize that ordering any of these gifts and sending them to someone will require the essential jobs of factory workers and mailmen to make what may be considered a non-essential order & delivery. We are forever grateful for their courage and unwavering efforts. That said, we want to make sure we’re keeping somewhat of a sense of normalcy with our posts and letting our readers know all of the services available to them, even if they may not be a top priority at the moment.

Our first priority here at Hip2Save is to ensure the safety of everyone and to do our best to encourage people to stay home, order online, and do what is best for their own families. Additionally, we are also making sure our online deals, especially on essentials, are loud and clear on the site.

Thank you for your support and good vibes to all,

❤️ Your Hip2Save Team

I carry around rolls of Lifesavers candies that I bought at Sam’s club. I hand them out to grocery store clerks, food service employees, etc

    Thanks for sharing!

I wanted to share this link for a local place with amazing popcorn. They have free shipping and are 20% off worth STAYHOME20. I used this for an Easter gift for my mom.

    • Mz

      Silly question, are they good?

  3. beth-3

Love these ideas! Thank you! Does anyone know if the Cheryl’s cookie sampler says anything specific about birthdays in/on the box. Was wondering if I could send it for Mother’s Day with out it being weird. LOL!

      • beth-3

Thank you. I did see those. Besides the one cookie card for $6, it looks like the cheapest option is $24.99. I liked the $10 price of the birthday sampler 🙂 But wasnt sure I wanted to send it if it actually said Happy Birthday inside LOL!

        • beth-3

Oh shoot! I guess it doesn’t matter anyway, it says it won’t arrive until May 22!

          • Sara

Oh bummer, I’m sorry that won’t work out Beth!

    • acgold

I took advantage of the last Cheryl’s cookie promo in February. They sent an old Christmas Tree cookie that was broken. They did replace it, but it was embarrassing that they sent it for a gift recipient.

  4. Jeannine

    Great ideas! Thanks.

    • Sara

You’re welcome, Jeannine! So glad this post was helpful to you! Have a great day. 🙂

I have sent several of the $10 coolie boxes to different friends and family and they have really enjoyed receiving them. They’ve been a small distraction to brighten someone’s day in these string of hard days! Thank you for these posts!

    • Sara

    • jess

what are coolie boxes? I’m curious! for ten dollars that a good deal whatever it is – lol.

      • car men

        probably meant cookies 🙂

  7. Leane

I actually received the box and it doesn’t say Happy Birthday anywhere on it.

    • beth-3

      Oooh. Thanks!

  9. LaToya

I’m getting the only ships with a $25 order message on the Target Beauty boxes?

    • Sara

Oh bummer, thanks for bringing that to our attention, LaToya, we’re looking into that right now.

    • Sara

Sorry for the inconvenience, LaToya. After looking into this, unfortunately, Target recently changed their shipping policy so we’re no longer able to get a beauty box without the minimum $25 purchase. We went ahead and deleted the gift idea from the post since we’re trying to stick within a certain budget for these ideas. If the Target Beauty boxes and the shipping policy changes in the future, we’ll be sure to post about it!

  10. TJ

I found C. Krueger cookies thru an Instagram ad. They have some cute cookies with covid19 messages. You can get a 2pack delivered for about $7. My SIL is single and has been really lonely and depressed so I sent her the ones that say Virtual Hug. It took about two weeks for her to get them but she said they were delicious and the box was cute.

    • Sara

Thanks for sharing that tip with us, TJ! Sounds like you made out really well!

    • car men

for C.Krueger, use code WELCOME for free shipping on [any] $25 order.
…and like TJ said, FREE shipping on any “WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER” item

    • Brit

Those cookies look adorable! They’re both sold out for the low cost options 🙁 Hoping they restock! I definitely believe mental health is essential and anyway I can show love, I’m going to do it.
Hoping more cooking kits come out for the kids…Kidstir we weren’t impressed with but willing to try another company. Thanks H2S! You guys are awesome!

  11. CAkiwi519

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for letting us know, Di! Sorry for the confusion. That gift option has been updated if you wanted to check again!

  13. Stephanie

I sent a Target beauty box to a couple people. Very reasonably priced.

  14. alh071

Please see if local companies do this!!! Support local!

  15. Kay

How does the Cheryl’s Cookies $10 Rewards Certificate work? I looked on their website and only see that it’s good towards a next purchase within 4 months. Can u use it to buy another birthday sampler? Can it be used for items less than $10? Can it only used for items starting at certain price?

    • sharonharding

I have been wondering the same things. I got a box of Cheryl’s Cookies from my sister recently in the mail. The cookies that are frosted were MUCH better than the dried out unfrosted cookies. Now I have the $10 RC and can’t get it to work on what I would like to purchase. It seems that it CAN NOT be used for the birthday sampler. 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Aww, Thanks so much for your kind comment, MaymeV! It sure brightened my day! 🤗 We’re so glad you have been enjoying the deals and tips with us each day!

  16. Tia

I found a different box, Coffee Lovers Build Your Own Snack Pack. It has 8 gourmet snacks that go with coffee shipped for $29.99. A little more expensive, but you can choose the snacks you want in it so it’s customized. Snacks include Koppers chocolate covered espresso beans, Swoffle stroopwaffle, Taos Bakes Bars and more. Visit mochamagic.com and click on Grab n Go and Coffee Lovers Build Your Own Snack Pack. They sell chocolate covered espresso beans too. Nice treat!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Cool! Thanks for letting us know, Tia!

  17. Lpmousse

My bestie just got some difficult news, so I sent her a socially distant hug. 😉 With popcorn inside. Thanks for the idea.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Awww, hope she does okay! What a nice gesture!

  18. MICHELLE

I sent the 9.99 box of cookies three weeks ago to a friend for her birthday. SInce I didn’t get a thank you, I checked the status on their website. It says it will be delivered May 22nd! Happy way belated birthday. : (
