I was at Hobby Lobby this week looking for picture frames. They were not on sale.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Hoping they might be on sale in your store soon!

  2. cathy

My Hobby Lobby has put material on a schedule, not always 30 off anymore.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the feedback, Cathy! I do see it listed at 30% off in my store ad and online as I click through now.

  3. natd22

Same for me on the fabric-not always on sale😭

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Bummer! Thanks for sharing. I do find it on sale in my store ad and through the link above. Hoping that helps!

  4. iamkris10

This is an obnoxious tactic – if it’s “on sale everyday” just… change the price.

    • Em

Agreed. If it’s “always” on sale, then it’s not on sale..

  5. Leavesbegintofall

They really need to just make the price tag say the price, unless it’s an actual sale. I have stopped shopping at places that make everything tricky and annoying. I’m not playing a math game when I’m picking up something I want or need.

    • Phaye

Oh like when “paper craft” is listed on sale but it doesn’t include card stock? Or you grab a binder made to organize and plan meals, but it’s not on sale because it’s not an “Organizer/Planner”, EVEN THOUGH they’re in the same section, and there’s only two recipe organizers on the whole wall, so it’s meant to trick you? Aye… shady business. I’m ok with rotating sales to keep a profit, but to nit pick, trying to deceive… I wasn’t ok with that.

  6. Zara

I actually got better deal with this way. When I shopped last time most of the items in the store were 50% off. I was able to buy several items at 50% off and not deal with coupon.

  7. MBarnes

Frames aren’t always 50% off anymore. I asked a couple of weeks ago when I needed one. The sales lady said you have to wait until they’re on sale. Shame…that was my go to for frames. :-/

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for taking a moment to comment. I do find them on sale for 50% off in my ad and through the link above. Hoping that helps!

      • TravelSuz

I have to say some sales are regional now. You may see the sale in your sales ad but my ad does not have frames 50% off this week and I even asked at customer service yesterday. She said they weren’t on sale.

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

DARN! Thank you for letting us know!

  8. Krista

The change at Hobby Lobby has not worked out well for me. Inevitably, the item I am needing is “not include in the sale.” I’ve also been told on several occasions, “oh, that never goes on sale.”

  9. isabel

They just opened a Hobby Lobby where I live. You really have to go by the ad to see if the items are on sale. Even the cashiers do not know. They have to go and check the print on the ad and make sure the item is on sale. It won’t automatically ring up. If she scans an item it comes out regular price. Their system is pathetic. Make sure you take the ad with you when you shop in Hobby Lobby.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for that tip, Isabel! Good to know!

  10. Danielle

I called one of my local hobby lobbys today asking when fall stuff would be on sale and they were extremely rude saying “we don’t know, we won’t know until we get the signs”, then when I called the other one they said they were just getting it in and it probably wouldn’t be on sale until october/november… that doesn’t seem right to me. i remember last year it was definitely on sale in the summer 🙁

  11. Ali

I work at HL. Our Fall items went on sale 7-19-21 (40% off). 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! Thanks for sharing!

      • Karan

Do the pick machine and picks go on sale when the floral items go on sale?

  12. Elizabeth Harrison

when will Christmas decor go to 50% off

  13. Elise

I was wondering of there is a patern to when toys go on sale at Hobby Lobby. If so when? It’s November 25th today.

  14. Julia

Do the lamps ever go on sale now?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

We’ll keep an eye out, Julia! Be sure to check their store ads frequenty.

    • Lori A.

Lamps were on sale one week in November around me, along with table decor. I have been waiting for table decor to go on sale ever since , lamps may be on the same timeline, I don’t remember them being back on sale either.

  15. Janele

Do they ever run the small floral picks on sale that are used to make wreaths? All other floral was 50% off this week, but not those.

  16. Kelly

What season or how often does wedding décor typically go on sale? Thanks!

  17. Vicki Besse

I don’t know why you all can’t have a register exclusive to returns. Our hobby lobby is very busy and traffic would flow better when checking out-not to mention how annoying it is for a customer who has to wait much longer to buy in the one return lane when the returns normally DO take more time. Also, when I have a return I get anxious knowing the folks behind me are having to wait so long. The employees seem to have someone walk back and check a price, then have a manager come after that to use their key to complete the transaction. To me, for good customer service would be a separate lane(at least at peak times) or have a trusted worthy “key holder” that you feel comfortable with. Just an idea from a long time retired GAP exempt and Brookstone as well. Thanks for listenin. I do love Hobby Lobby greatly in spite of some few inconveniences from time to time.

    • Lisa

Our Hobby Lobby always uses the first register as you come in, as a returns register, but sometimes it is the only one open when customer flow is low.

Do Hobby Lobby shelves ever go 40-50% off?
