Sportspower Brookside Wooden Swing Set$650 (includes delivery)

Crafted of 100% Northern Europe Scandinavian Fir, this swing set for sale is super affordable and even stands apart from its competitors using China Cedar. Their wood frame is denser and safer so you won’t fret over broken boards during assembly. Plus, it’s sustainably sourced so you can feel good about this purchase.

Lifetime 10-Foot Metal Deluxe Swing Set$799 (includes delivery)

Made by Lifetime, this swing set isn’t called lifetime for nothing! If you’re just wanting a timeless swing set that even your grandkids could enjoy one day, look no further than this metal set that’s built to last and comes with a limited 5-year warranty.

Constructed with strong steel, you’ll never have to worry about sanding, staining, or painting this swing set. That said, if you decide to sell it one day when you’re kids outgrow it, it’s much more likely to hold its value as opposed to the wood ones – which to us, is worth the extra splurge. 🙌

We also found it in a more earth-tone color combination if you want it to blend seamlessly with your outdoor oasis.

We just bought the Lifetime 10ft Swing. Its huge and my boys will definitely use it for a very long time.

  2. mrswagley

We have the skyfort 2 and it’s good quality but we paid considerably less than this price. I’ll double check but it was at least $1000 less so I say shop around and wait for sales with big ticket items like this. Just one mom’s advice. ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks a bunch for the helpful comment!

We have the Backyard Discovery Skyfort II swing set and yes, it does take some time to put together….3 days for us. I’d gather the items needed for the next step while my husband, dad, and father in law worked on it. Did make the process go smoother! We’ve had it for 3 years and it still looks great!

    • mrswagley

That’s how we did it too! Just two of us so it took longer but it is a great set! Also advise to put your own sealant on it as well to help it hold up for much longer.

We bought the BRACKETS Only from amazon, then bought wood from home depot. Chose different types of swings, incl a platform one….the entire thing cost less than $400 and will last forever and took about 3 hours to build, using just a few tools. Would be a fun memorial weekend project. if you read through some comments, you can see what is needed and how to make it. You tube is a great resource as well!
You can use the same brackets for a hammock, a porch swing, etc..so you can get use of it even if the kids aer older!

Thanks so much for the helpful tip! Good to know!

    • Kana

We were planning on building a playground this spring/summer, but lumber prices have gone up so much that it isn’t really cheaper anymore. 🙁

    • Lana

We did that 20 years ago and it is still as good as the day it was built. Now the grandchildren play on it!

    • Mamamia

Even with the cost of lumber, you need four for the legs and one for the top. Home depot will cut them for free. A $400 set is still cheaper than a $1000 one! ( We built a month ago, not years ago when wood was cheap)

The Lifetime swingset is $550 on their website. I noticed that other prices in this post are substantially higher than other merchants with a quick google search on the product. Dang, this is disappointing.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the feedback! I do see the same Lifetime set above for the same price of $799 on their site, for that same model. Hope this helps!

    • Jenn B

The 10 Ft Swing Set is $799 on Lifetime website. We just got ours last week.

    • Sheila

The $550 swing is their 7ft version. This version they show is 10ft. If you’re looking for the best price for the 7ft version, Costco has it for $440.

I’ve had the cedar wood swing set and I just recently purchased the lifetime metal one and I highly recommend the metal one! Also we placed a toddler mattress under the slide to save my grand babies butt when they slide down!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you! Have a great weekend!

  7. Niki

We bought a different Gorilla this year and they are made great and we are loving it. A lot to put together took multiple weekends.
