Lina Likes to Grill Ribs Using Smoker Bags – Simple, Flavorful & NO Dishes to Clean
Note from Collin:
Do you have a product you love? We definitely have many favorite products here on the Hip2Save Team, and thought it would be FUN to share some of them with you! I personally love product recommendations and I’ve also had a few requests from readers, so I have asked each member of the team to think of products they love (cosmetics, kitchen gadgets etc.) and to write up a post to share.
Hi all! It’s Lina here, one of Collin’s sidekicks!
Love delicious smoked meat?
What if I said you can easily get similar flavors from your outdoor grill or indoor oven using Smoker Bags? I’ve used these wood-chip bags for infusing food with smoky flavor a few times now after a family member shared them with me. I actually purchased from Amazon here.
I LOVE the fact that the meat turns out tender, flavorful, and there are NO dishes afterwards to clean! SO AWESOME!
All you do is season your meat, seal the bag, and cook on your grill, oven, or even campfire. These would be so neat to take camping! The bags release smoke as it cooks for a mild smoky flavor.
Here’s how to get fall off the bone ribs using Smoker Bags:
- Season ribs using your favorite BBQ seasoning.
- Seal them inside the Smoker Bag.
- Grill on medium heat for about 90 minutes.
- Open the bag and brush ribs with BBQ sauce.
- Grill them for another ten minutes longer (bag opened) so the sauce can caramelize.
SO YUMMY! These ribs turned out fantastic!
I’ve only used Smoker Bags on ribs so far, but can’t wait to try it out on fish or poultry. You can’t beat their ease of use and convenience of no dishes! I also think these would make a nice gift for someone who loves to cook or grill.

These seem like a great idea! I love to grill so I’m gonna have to try them! And can’t beat no clean up lol!
The point is , are these healthy ???? Infusing a smoke flavor doesn’t sound natural to me !!!
Just an easy and yummy way to make ribs 😀
Dodda, smoke is a byproduct of heat, oxygen and a fuel source. God made it that way, so I’d say it’s 100% natural 🙂
I got it it is smoke FLAVOR not real smoke and as far as I know smoke has carbon monoxide ( to he silent killer )
Smoke has been around a lot longer than BBQ sauce… I’m sure it’s fine!
Awesome! I wanna try for sure, thanks Lina!
Interesting idea but my wife dislikes smoked flavor. Can’t beat the smell of meat smoking though.
I’ve never heard of these until now. Thanks for sharing, Lina!
Sure – I think they’re fun!
I don’t get it. If we are cooking them in the grill we will get that smoked flavor so there is no need for the bag
They are infused with wood chip flavors like when you use an actual smoker, plus the bag sort of steams them nicely. Hope that helps!
Never heard of smoke bag, will give it a try. I’m pretty sure my husband will like this bag, now will see how the meat taste!
I’ve used smoker bags before and cooked them in the oven a few times. These are so super easy and mess-free, my two favorite words! I actually used a smoker bag over the weekend with country style boneless ribs that turned out delicious! Thank you for your amazing recipes and suggestions.
Oh I’m so glad- thanks Amy!
Fake smoky flavor
Neat idea, Lina! Thanks! I love, love true smoked ribs using charcoal and wood chips, but with young kids, we only make these kind of ribs like once a year. These bags would be a great way to have ribs that are tasty but not super time consuming. Thanks again!
I agree, we like using our actual wood chip smoker too. This is more of an easy weeknight approach 😀 Thanks for stopping by!
Love these smoker bags ! I use them for smoking Corned beef for Pastrami, for ribs ( pork and beef ) , chicken. If you can’t use a smoker these are an excellent choice. There are small pin holes in the bottom of the bag that allow the smoke from the wood shavings to enter the bag. Start out at 500 to get the smoke going then reduce the temp to continue the cook.
Glad you like these, Jocelyn! Thanks for sharing the helpful review on how you use these bags! 💕
