jade roller on bathroom counter

Ah, new year’s resolutions…

There’s nothing like starting a new year filled with fresh motivation to better your life. Some people take on fitness goals, some want to gain more financial security, and some want to schedule a bit more “me time” for themselves. Whatever the case, we’ve rounded up the best products to help keep you on track!

1. If you’re exercising to get into shape:

Taking your fitness to the next level? You may like having a little personal trainer on your wrist to keep you in check. The Apple Watch started with just smart watch connectivity features but has been gaining more and more health functions with each product upgrade. Its competitor, the Fitbit Versa, is also full of similar smartwatch functionality though its true focus is on the fitness tracking capabilities. Plus, it’s sleek design emulates that of the Apple Watch as well.

“While I admit a lot of Apple products outperform their competitors… the Fitbit Versa is LEGIT! I now have a product that’s not running on an iOS system that gives the Apple Watch a run for its money, and it’s A LOT cheaper!” – Jennifer (read her full review here!)

2. If you’re starting a new diet:

keto gift guide — the keto diet book

3. If you’re budgeting your money:

There are tons of methods for creating and maintaining a budget, though we’re partial to the envelope budgeting system. With 12 color-coded envelopes, you can divvy up your cash for the month into each spending category. The envelopes are water and tear resistant, so they’ll last you through the entire year!

We also love the teachings of Dave Ramsey, so you may also want to pick up his book The Total Money Makeover along with the Workbook.

More into digital management? You should definitely check out these budgeting apps that really work!

4. If you’re decluttering or organizing:

cooking pans stacked in organizing rack

Maybe you’re trying to get a jump on spring cleaning a tad early — more power to ya! When ridding your home of things you no longer need and sorting through your saved belongings, you can use the help of organizer products to make everything more accessible. Whether it’s corraling all your makeup and skin carestacking your most used pans well within reach, or making sure your undergarments each have their own place, there’s an organizer to fit pretty much any need.

5. If you’re sprucing up your home decor game:

6. If you’re practicing more self-care:

Go on and treat yourself in 2019! And you don’t even need to buy any new fancy creams or serums. With a jade roller, you can make your products work better and absorb deeper into your skin. Plus by keeping the roller in the fridge or freezer, the cool jade will reduce any inflammation on your face.

This Jade Crystal Facial Roller from Skin Gym has a large and small stone that you simply roll over your face in an outwards direction for a relaxing facial massage. Jade represents wisdom, balance and peace. It is a highly calming stone which makes it great for facial massage. Crystal healing has been used for centuries for smooth, youthful-looking skin. Use it over oils, serums, masks and moisturizer to increase product absorption.

If you want the face roller in Rose quartz, Sephora has their version of the same roller for $20.00. I was just at my Sephora yesterday and noticed it.

I just recently purchased a jade roller and LOVE it! Be warned….if your kiddos or husband are anything like mine, you will be joked for spending $20 on a rock to roll on your face. haha! Jokes on them….it’s pretty awesome!

Amazon and ebay have them much cheaper!!

Marshalls had a whole bunch of jade rollers for $10 last weekend. I figured I try Wish first..

These stone rollers are very trendy, but it’s really just a gimmick IMO…facial massage might help slightly w/ water retention (though actually drinking more water would help a lot more with that!) but there’s no evidence that it actually does anything beyond just feel good lol. A cold spoon works just as well and saves you $20.

I bought a pan organizer and a couple clear acrylic cabinet mountable spice organizers. I love my own organizer … I always thought I would have less room with one but I actually have more. And the idea of not having my new pans touching and scrapping the finish gives me lots of peace of mind. The spice organizers are working well and I installed them with industrial strength Velcro.

I bought 5 really good quality jade rollers on Amazon (for $7.50 each!) for friends, my mom, my daughter, and myself. We all keep them in the refrigerator and use them every day! Even if it doesn’t help with aging, it feels good and very relaxing!

not so sure about keeping all that cash at home, maybe a journal or something to keep track of your budget.

I take that back, I just looked up what Dave Ramsey says about it and he does recommend some cash at home in a fire proof safe and checking with your homeowners insurance to see what they would cover in the event of a fire or theft.

      • Corina

I keep cash at home for expenses that need to be covered quickly, especially if you are running late or the ATM is in the opposite direction and I do not want to pay for fees when I get to where I am going. For example parking for sporting events or having a child pull out a tooth unexpectedly …and of course replace as soon as possible.

I found a couple of the Deco Bros pot/pan holder at a close out store for a dollar. I used one vertical and I am able to store my Pyrex(or similar brand I am sure) casserole dishes in it. The 9×13 fits, the 8×12, and the 8×8. I like it because I don’t have to stack them anymore and just slip them back in place without the glass clanking. I have also used another horizontal and place my muffin tins, 9×13 metal pan and brownie pan in them. I really like them.
